My boyfriend and I spent a night to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. It was the perfect place to get away and relax for the weekend! The toybox room is huge with fun decorations and comfy chairs. The wine glasses and wine opener in the room were perfect since we had brought a bottle of wine. Sandy even left cookies in our room while we were out to dinner! Her and Nick were great hosts and we felt pampered with gourmet breakfast and all the little touches they do in their home to make people feel welcome!

We had a great time at Sandy Cottage! Came here for Easter weekend and it was also my boyfriend's birthday! It was sooo spacious, and well over what we had planned! We will definitely be back before the summer season starts!

This was our first visit but it was all we expected and more. Only an hour from the Detroit area,very quiet and away from it all. Our two gourmet breakfasts were out of this world. Nicholas and Sandy our hosts, made us feel right at home. We will be back! Doug & Mary Ann Evans

The room was beautifully decorated, and the bed was so comfortable! We slept to the sound of gently lapping waves. The little touches, such as the candles and wineglasses in the room, the fresh flowers, and the handmade soap in the bathroom made our stay feel extra special. The innkeepers were very welcoming and Sandy made an amazing breakfast!

My wife and I have a wonderful visit at Adventure Inn in Lakeport, Michigan. We stayed in the Toy Box Room which is spacious and comfortable, with a modern bathroom, television, and a beautiful eastern facing view of Lake Huron. To be awakened by the sunrise was great fun. The room is tastefully appointed and large enough for someone to contemplate a multi-day stay. The opportunity for walks on the beach or a dip in the lake was there as well. Our hosts, Nicholas and Sandy, were very nice and we enjoyed talking with them. They also provided good guidance regarding restaurants and local attractions. Breakfast, served in the sun room facing the lake, was divine! Fresh fruit and granola served as the appetizer for a greta frittata to come. The coffee and juices were great, too. We could think of nothing to add. All in all, Adventure Inn is a hidden jewel in this part of Michigan. We will plan a return trip!

We stayed in the Toy Room on our way to Niagara Falls. The next time we will make sure our stay covers several nights. The Toy Room is fun, spacious with wonderful touches of whimsy and a terrific view of Lake Huron. Breakfast was delicious.. Sandy and Nicholas could not have been more gracious and accomodating. When they heard we would be arriving late in the day they offered to provide sald and sandwiches in case we were too tired to go out to eat. We highly recommend Adventure Inn for your next vacation or if you are driving to Canada like we were. It's the perfect place to spend the night, only minutes from the Bridge to Canada. This place was the perfect getaway for these parents of 5 little ones. The sound of the waves outside of the windows in the Toybox room were the icing on the cake. All around a relaxing, fun time.

My wife and I chose the Adventure Inn for our 10 year anniversary. We couldn't have been more pleased. Sandy and Nicholas were amazing hosts, creating an atmosphere like nothing we have ever experienced. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the views were breathtaking, and the breakfast provided was top notch. I could not recommend this B&B highly enough!! Located on Lake Huron nine miles north of Port Huron and nine miles south of Lexington. Turn off M-25 onto at Mobil station north of Lakeport State Park, then turn onto one-lane Shorewood Drive and come to the lake end. From Detroit, one hour away, take I-94 until it ends at M-25 in Port Huron, then north. From Flint, one hour away, take I-69, then I-94 and follow M-25 north.

But note that Bishop International Airport in Flint is closer and offers many connections, easy in-and-out, and rental car services. From Detroit's Metro Airport, hop on I-94 East to Port Huron, where it ends and transitions to M-25. Follow M-25 North toward Lexington, but turn right on Lakeshore at a Mobil station north of Lakeport State Park. Turn right off Lakeshore onto Shorewood Drive. From Bishop International, take I-69 East to Port Huron, connect to I-94 East and then follow directions above as I-94 becomes M-25.
