Just returned home from our first time visit to Oak Gables Bed and Breakfast in beautiful Damariscotta, Maine. The experience was wonderful in every way. The proprietor, Martha Scudder, is the perfect hostess and we can't say enough about her kind hospitality. The house and surrounding grounds (situated right on the banks of the Damariscotta River) are stunningly beautiful. The living and dining rooms are filled with antiques as are the handsome looking bedrooms. Full "Maine"breakfast included well prepared eggs, bacon, toast, English muffins with choice of excellent coffee and tea. The house is situated a one or two minute drive from downtown Damariscotta. It's far more peaceful and quiet than the "main drag" bed and breakfast establishments and the cost is far more reasonable than those others. Kathleen and Paul Kuritz, Lewiston, Maine

Indicazioni stradali per raggiungere la struttura:
DA SUD: ---Per raggiungere Oak Gables da il Maine Turnpike corso nord, prendere l'uscita 9-95. Su 95 scendere a uscita 28. Allora sarete sulla costiera 1 percorso che porterà attraverso Brunswick, Bath, Wiscasset e poi per il Newcastle-Damariscotta. Prendere l'uscita di Newcastle-Damariscotta Business Route 1 e seguire la strada oltre il ponte Damariscotta e in città. In cima alla collina, appena dopo la First National Bank (sulla destra) fare una forte sinistra svoltare a Church Street (in tutto dalla Chiesa Battista). Andare circa 2 blocchi breve. Svoltate a sinistra in via Pleasant. Il segno "Oak Gables Bed & Breakfast" è all'angolo. Vai alla fine della strada attraverso la pietra posti fino alla fine della strada. Check-in presso casa principale. DA NORD: ---Decollare primo turno Damariscotta da nord. Vi saranno quindi su Business Route 1. Proseguire sulla Business Route 1 fino a una luce di stop. Svoltare a destra presso la luce di stop su Church Street. Andare circa 1/2 miglia. Passerete un cimitero sulla vostra destra. Pleasant Street sarà la prima strada sulla destra. Il segno "Oak Gables Bed e Breakfast" sarà all'angolo. Svoltare a destra in via Pleasant. Vai alla fine della strada attraverso la pietra posti fino alla fine della strada. Check-in presso casa principale.
