Lovely area, extremely friendly and helpful innkeeper, close to many Berkshires attractions - would highly recommend this Inn!

The Inn is beautifully maintained; and more importantly, for travelers looking for quiet spaces and serenity like us. Fifteen minutes away from Tanglewood, it is an oasis of calm. It is tastefully furnished and uncluttered, unlike other inns in the area with psuedo-Victorian pretensions. Pam, the manager, is a warm and welcoming presence. She went out of her way to make french toast for us when I asked her about it although she already had other delicious things prepared. We will definitely go back there in the future.

The Inn is perfectly situated and Pam is terrific. Wonderful breakfasts and quiet!

This is a hidden gem convenient to everything the Berkshires has to offer. Off the beaten track, it is within 10-20 minutes drive of Williamstown, Pittsfield, Tanglewood and Stockbridge. The innkeeper Pam was pleasant and helpful and prepared a full breakfast buffet each day.

This was my second visit to the Inn. On my first visit, I came with my husband and dog (cabin#8) as a "baby moon" trip prior to our daughter's birth in 2009. Last weekend (July 27-29), I brought a friend for a girl's spa weekend. On both occasions, we were welcomed immediately and our accommodations were both spacious and clean. The grounds at the Inn provide a perfect setting for relaxation and rejuvenation. Although there are no services in the immediate area, nothing is very far away. In 2009, our trip included a visit to Tanglewood (10min). It's just a short drive for groceries and nearby shopping. In addition, I must commend Kendra and her friends who not only kept the Inn running while the owner was away (on my most recent visit), but did so with smiles and enthusiasm. We enjoyed our family stay here for two nights in July 2012. The Inn is very well run, historically interesting, in a quiet location, yet conveniently located in the Berkshires. During our stay the inn's manager Pam was attentive, pleasant and made our stay memorable. The food and service Pam and others provided was exceptional. We also made arrangements for horseback riding lessons at the adjacent professional stables which added even more memorable moments to our stay. All reservations were made on the inn's website. We never spoke with Pam or others before arrival. We did email the Inn (Pam) prior to our stay with requests for information, which were provided. Definitely a great stay and now on our list of places to return to.

The inn is about 7 miles from Tanglewood. The Inn's staff are wonderfully helpful at making the stay enjoyable, pointing out which parking lot to park in to avoid left turns, etc. There are several horses boarded on the property, and the staff helped us arrange riding lessons for the girls in our party. Really good breakfast.

The room was spacious and romantic with a working fireplace and footed bathtub in the large bathroom. Our hostess Pam was a delight and the breakfasts she prepared were delicious.

Pam is a fantastic hostess, and her Inn is lovely and charming. There is so much to see and do in the area, it is a perfect space to rest in the evening and explore the beauty and cultural opportunities nearby. We highly recommend this Inn!

I got the "last room at the inn" when I made my reservation. The penalty was that I got the smallest room. The prize was that I got one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. As always, Pam was an excellent and attentive host. Her breakfasts are wonderful.

Even though our weekend stay was interrupted by a blizzard (in October???) we had a beautiful weekend at The Inn at Richmond. Our room was immaculately decorated, clean, and had a nice sized bedroom (with a fireplace), large bathroom with claw-foot tub, and a sitting room with a love seat. The common areas were beautiful and were very relaxing. Our host was charming, knowledgeable, and was able to suggest things to do nearby (since the blizzard ruined most of our plans). We really want to see the grounds next time, so we're looking into another (longer) stay this spring.

This was our second stay at the Inn at Richmond. It is a wonderfully relaxed, comfortable place for a get away. Close enough to all that Lenox-Stockbridge-Great Barrington has to offer but a few minutes away to provide some peace from the horde of leaf peeping tourists. The grounds are great to just take a walk around, we spent some time in the barn visiting with the horses. We were given a great dinner recommendation. Brix Wine Bar in Pittsfield less than 10 easy minutes away. After a comfortable nigh's sleep, we were treated to delicious coffee and a great breakfast. The only hiccup, and it's minor but worth mentioning, was the shower. The pressure was terrible and I'm sure that's something that can't be controlled, but the shower head was pointing to the far wall at a terrible angle and made showering almost impossible. Not an issue since we were headed home that next day, but if we had been there for multiple days it would have been a major downside. At t he very least a hand held would make the direction issue go away.

Warm and helpful welcome, nice decoration, very good breakfast. We had a cottage for us, our children and their baby. Perfect !

The area near Lenox MA is known for its beautiful year-round scenery, the Tanglewood summer music festival, and a relaxing ambiance. After staying in a dozen different B&Bs in Lenox over the years and never quite finding the unhurried private ambiance we wanted, we stumbled upon the Inn at Richmond, located on a rural equestrian farm about 20 minutes west from downtown Lenox and Tanglewood. We always choose to stay in the Kenilworth Cottage - a 1BR apt remote from the main Inn building. We like the privacy there, the full kitchen, the king-sized bedroom, and the view out the surrounding windows. Not only that, Pam cooks a delicious hot breakfast in the morning in the main Inn. The Kenilworth Cottage at the Inn at Richmond is at the top end of what you would pay for B&B accomodations, but the spaciousness, privacy, views and comfortable decor make it worth it. It is now the only place we will consider staying in the Berkshires.

Nice place to stay with a group for a visit to Tanglewood - rooms were large and comfortable, kitchen well equipped, nice outdoor patio. Breakfast was a nice surprise - fresh, high quality fruit, yogurts and always a hot offer. Service very accommodating.

Every Labor Day weekend, my family, dog and I leave NYC and travel up to a country-side spot in a different state. It was MA's turn and I decided to stay at The Inn at Richmond after reviewing it on Trip Advisor. We stayed at Cottage #8 on the premises and were delighted with it! The property has an equestrian training facility on it and it gave it an authentic country feel. Pam is an absolutly fabulous manager and friendly as can be. Bottom line: If you are looking for peace, quiet and tranquility with quality service and accommadations, this is the place!

The grounds are beautiful and you are surrounded by an equestrian center, but no smell! The grounds are beautiful and well kept, and the Inn i run by a lovely and knowledgable woman. It is a short ride to many nearby attractions. the only drawback is that it is on a rather busy road. Our room was in the back, so sleeping was not an issue, but when you sat in the lovely garden or on the porch, there was a lot of road traffic for such a rural location.

Stayed here 3 nights for a long weekend trip. Room was nice, bed was very comfortable and bathroom was modern. We were in a suite, and I thought the room with the TV could have used a little more in the way furnishings. Breakfast was buffet, tasty but not a fancy experience. The innkeeper was very nice and helpful. The grounds were very nice to walk around. Note that the inn itself is right off the road, so will get some traffice noise if that is an issue for you. Overall, a very nice stay.

Very nice inn away from the hustle and bustle of some of the larger towns in the Berkshires. Quite a lot of road noise, however. Water pressure/temperature could be better. Many nice places to sit and chat with other inn guests.

If you're looking for a country inn with lovely surroundings, this is it. We stayed for several nights and I didn't want to leave. The B&B is managed by a warm, friendly woman who made us feel at home immediately. Because we arrived at the beginning of the week and the inn was not at maximum capacity, she immediately upgraded our room to a more spacious one. Although the location might be a tad off the typical beaten path, it is actually a great location for accessing all the surrounding cities. Each morning we were served breakfast which included a hot entree, fresh fruit, and bread or baked goods. Although not every single morsel was homemade (some B&Bs I've stayed at do all their own baking), the food was fresh, tasty, and plentiful. The entrees were simple, but freshly made and included quiche, frittatas, and french toast. Highly recommend!

Wonderful service, they can arrange for horseback riding lesson on-property. If you have a lesson real early in the morning, they will make a special breakfast for you upon request so you do not miss breakfast time. Highly recommended.

Pam, the manager was so warm and friendly. The room was gorgeous and private and very romantic. We also took horseback riding lessons, and my girlfriend and I had a blast. The Inn at Richmond mixes the old elegant style of the berkshires, with all the modern updates you need to enjoy every second of your stay. I will be going back many times.
