"Absolutely THE best place to stay in Escalante!"

"Don't be fooled by bogus reviews on other hotels or B&Bs in Escalante! Tom runs THE best place to lay your head at night and makes an awesome breakfast too! I know from experience! We stayed 4 nights in July 2011, and then returned again for 3 nights at the end of May 2012. My husband and I (along with two other couples) visit the Grand Staircase for slot canyoning! What a place, but that's another story. We're active and we like quality accomodations when we travel. Tom was full of good tips to help us enjoy the area. He wakes early to have coffee and breakfast ready for you. I like the separate rooms, almost like an upscale motel, rather than overnighting in the owners house -- that's a part of the B&B scene I don't like -- privacy or something... So Tom has the perfect set-up. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the air conditioners work very well -- something you need in that part of the world! Nice spacious bathrooms, plush towels... you get the idea. Just look at his website -- what you see is what you get. There are only two things I wish Tom would add: 1) a better sign out front because it's hard to find, even though it's a small town -- it's just not visible from the street like it should be and 2) an ice machine would be an awesome addition. We intend to stay again next year, of course. Highly recommended!"
