  • Questo Revival greco bella casa fu costruita nel 1840 con grande attenzione ai dettagli architettonici maestose colonne, soffitti alti, modanature intagliati e argento tedesco importato hardware su porte e finestre. Venite a scoprire la scalinata ellittica legna ciliegia, i caminetti in marmo molti, la libreria attraente, letti spaziosi salotti e conversazione accogliente zona al secondo piano di atterraggio. Iniziare la giornata con un sontuoso, prima colazione con fresco al forno beni e Maine produrre e prodotti preparati e serviti con i vostri ospiti. Serate fresche e ogni mattina un caminetto scoppiettante sarà salutiamo in uno o più dei nostri caminetti in marmo.

    The Hiram Alden room is our largest room with working fireplace and a 7'carved cherry mantlepiece surround. It features a queen size bed and private bath and a separate marble top sink in a small alcove. It has two wing back chairs for watching the fire or just relaxing on a cozy night. The perfect room for that special getaway.

    The Penobscot room features a queen size bed and private bath. The shower for this room is across the hall and is private to this room Robes are offered in all our rooms.
A camel back sofa and coffee table make this a comfortable room for an extended stay.

    The Emily Alden room has a queen size bed and private bath and looks out over our shade and Hosta garden. It two has large built in cabinets for plenty of storage.

    The Centennial room features a pair of antique acorn post twin beds. It is located on the second floor and is south facing. It shares a bathroom with the Old Belfast room. which makes it perfect if traveling with friends or family.
    Islesboro Lighthouse, a short ferry ride away. Great place for a picnic.

    Excellent hosts, Great, gourmet breakfast, Beautiful B & B

    We love staying at B & B's. Rose and Larry exceeded all of our past good B & B experiences. They were simply amazing, genuine and kind. My husband has a dairy and egg allergy. They went out of their way to prepare him a delicious breakfast, sans eggs & dairy. Our entire breakfast experience was delightful. Rose and Larry planned and executed a gourmet breakfast with finesse for more than 10 people. The food is better than many 5-star hotels. The dining room was intimate enough for a group conversation. A memorable experience. The entire inn including the bedrooms showed great attention to detail and a sophisticated and elegant taste. Simply welcoming. We wish we could stay longer. We will next time.

    Trip to Maine

    We just spent two nights at the Alden Inn....what a wonderful experience. Larry and Rose were so gracious and made us feel very comfortable with attention to details. The breakfasts were special and very very good. They provided us with great recommendations for dining as well as day trips. We would not hesitate to return and hope we can do it sometime in the near future. Belfast has a very nice feel to it.....not as busy as other Maine towns.

    Summer visit to Maine

    Owners Larry and Rosemarie are delightful. The food was very good and plentiful. Snacks and drinks were available at all times. The rooms are small with no air conditioning, however, they are very clean and well decorated. New towels, bottled water and chocolate candies were provided everyday. This is one of those great B&Bs that you makes you feel at home. Reasonably priced, good location, easy walk to town and water front.

    charming and friendly inn

    We just returned from a two nite stay at the Alden House. Larry and Rose are truly delightful hosts - more like visiting friends in their home than your typical friendly innkeepers. The rooms are carefully and beautifully decorated and are very comfortable. The feather beds, high quality linens and excellent pillows were a real delight. Breakfasts are delicious and really special. The inn is immaculate, charming and very friendly. This is not a chain -it is a very personal place with warm, inviting owners. Our room was small, but lovely. There is no tv in the rooms or anywhere in the inn. Our room had a small air-conditioner, but the other 6 rooms in the inn did not seem to be air-conditioned. Larry and Rose are excellent hosts and we certainly wish them all the best with their new inn.

    Hiram Alden

    Il nome del Signore che ha costruito questa casa nel 1840, la stanza di Alden Hiram è spaziosa e mozzafiato in dimensione, colore e atmosfera. È dotato di un camino di lavoro con la sua originale piastrelle blu morbidi e incorniciato da un manto di ciliegio handcarved piedi 7 1/2. La camera ha un bel noce burled baldacchino letto con materasso di piume, apprettatrice di noce con top marmo, dotate di bagno privato e lavello marmo originale in un'alcova separata.     La camera Penobscot, prende il nome il nostro baia in cui si trova la città di Belfast, presenta un matita posto letto con materasso di piume e biancheria di lusso. Un antico apprettatrice mogano e seduta confortevole zona con amore sede rende questo un santuario di pace. Un bagno privato e lavello si trovano nella stanza, e la doccia privata si trova un passo in tutta la sala. Abiti eleganti sono forniti per il vostro piacere. Questa camera ha viste dei giardini.

    Wonderful Hosts in a Cute Town

    We had a great time at the Alden House. Larry and Rose were wonderful hosts who offered up great suggestions for things to do in the area and lively conversations. The food was locally sourced and tasted great! Should we ever find our way back to Belfast, we will certainly pay the Alden House another visit. Hopefully by then they'll be serving dinner in the evenings, too!
