Un rifugio dalla vita quotidiana. -Aperto tutto l'anno. Prima struttura Green Certified di Bar Harbor di qualsiasi tipo. Breakfast sottolineano ingredienti locali.

The Echo Suite was convenient for a family. Room service was timely and neat. Breakfast was gourmet and delicious. Mr. Roger and Mrs. Pat were very accomdative to our late late arrival. And they provided good advice for places to look around and dine in. They made the efforts to make our stay comfortable. The Inn is close to everything including bike shops, grocery store, restaurant, echo lake, and Acadia. Would love to check the Eagle Lake Suite next time as I was our first choice.

We've stayed at Graycote several times and found it to be consistent in service and in comfort. The breakfast is always wholesome and healthy served in a bright and cheery patio. The innkeepers are helpful with their advice on trails and the restaurants in the area. If you;re looking for a quiet and place with free wifi this is it!

This was our first experience in staying at a Bed and Breakfast so we were somewhat apprehensive. The location, the expert guidance on local information, the relaxed peaceful and quite atmosphere, the attention given to the individual needs of the guests, the delicious and healthy breakfasts, the afternoon snacks, and the comfortable well kept accommodations all combined to make it a wonderful and enjoyable stay. Being there enhanced our enjoyment of visiting Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Pat and Roger were warm, friendly and accommodating. They were more than happy to provide us with any special requests we made. Needless to say, we highly recommend the Graycote Inn and will certainly stay there if we visit Bar harbor again.

We loved our 3 night stay at the Graycote Inn. The room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. There were all sorts of extras, from logs for the fireplace, a folding table for computer, candy on the nightstand, robes and slippers, early coffee and tea left outside the room for early risers, afternoon cookies and cider, tidying up daily, etc. We couldn't have been more pleased. Downtown is an easy walk from the inn. We plan on recommending Graycote to our friends.

Our hosts at the Graycote Inn made our first visit to Bar Harbor so delightful that we can't wait to go back. The rooms are immaculate, comfortable, and beautifully furnished down to the last detail of special reading lights above the headboard of the bed; Roger and Pat gave all kinds of tips about things to do and places to go and eat in Bar Harbor, and they even had CDs to lend for use in our car in order to go on a self-guided tour of Acadia National Park; and best of all, they had the best breakfasts ever! Roger served each table with a different delightful meal each morning. The fact that the yummy breakfasts were actually vegetarian and nutritious was a bonus. We highly recommend the Graycote Inn!

My husband and I spend a week or 2 in Bar Harbor every summer. Over the years we have stayed at many B&Bs. Graycote is by far the best (in our humble opinions) and has become our favorite, go-to place to stay. Pat and Roger, the owners, always make us feel welcome and are more than knowledgable about the history of Bar Harbor, upcoming events, and anything else you want to know about the island. The Inn is beautiful and well cared for, with a well manicured property, providing a welcoming environment to relax from hiking or shopping. The breakfasts are amazing - my husbands favorite by far of any inn we've stayed at. It's also just a short walk to downtown bar harbor. In my experience, you won't find a better B&B.

Cozy rooms with nice furnishings & great art work. Amazing breakfasts. Friendly & helpful innkeepers & staff. We will definitely visit again.

We chose the Graycote Inn for our three night stay in Bar Harbor because of the reviews and price. It was far beyond our expectations. The location is a short walk from the village with ample off street parking. Grounds are beautifully manicured and inviting to sit out and relax. Front porch is lovely, overlooking the grounds. A great gathering place to meet new people and share experiences. The interior is just beautiful! Victorian furnishings, tasteful and not overdone. Very comfortable living room, large dining room and side porch that is the breakfast dining area. The bedrooms are large, have many sunny windows making them bright and cheery. We stayed in the Somes Sound Suite, and it was perfect! On second floor, large comfortable king size bed, full bath, and a separate sitting room. What makes the Graycote a step above?.... The innkeepers, Pat and Roger go beyond their roles! They supply you with a wealth of area information and are so knowledgeable about the island. The inn has listings of restaurants, activities, tours, anything you would need for your stay! They even will loan you a CD tour of Acadia (which I would strongly recommend if this is your first visit to the area). Another special feature at Graycote is a sit down breakfast that is served to you. Talk about delicious food! I enjoy a cup of coffee upon waking, and each morning, there was a hot carafe of coffee right outside our door for the floor. How delightful to have my first cup in my room while I sat and read. Every possible amenity is at your fingertips, from fluffy robes and slippers to soaps, shampoos. Each afternoon homemade snacks and drinks are set out. If you are staying a few days, take advantage of the special packages. We took the Sea Princess Nature Cruise and it was delightful and so informative! Bar Harbor and Acadia are such special places...treat yourself to a stay at the Graycote Inn...you will not be disappointed!!!

We so enjoyed our stay at the Graycote Inn. The rooms were beautiful, quaint, and cozy. I loved our private balcony off of our room. The owners were so kind and helpful for great dining and touring recommendations. Such a lovely place, and will definitely return on another Maine Vacation.

Just booked our Boston flights from London to make sure of our 16th annual January stay at the Graycote. Bar Harbor in winter is wonderful, although many of the locals we have made friends with over the years think we might be crazy. But what could be better than waking up in a huge four-poster bed, with the smell of coffee outside the door, eating a breakfast that will keep you going all day, then going out to make the most of the National Park and the rest of the island. Back to a log fire, and, as everything is quieter in January, time to chat with Roger and Pat, who know everything there is to know about the area. Roger is particularly good at putting in an order with the snow fairies - last year they outdid themselves. There is nothing more restful than watching snow come down outside the window as you sit by the fire, knowing that it is someone else's job to shovel it - you just have to enjoy it. Although a lot of shops and eating places are shut in winter, there are always enough open for a decision to have to be made every evening, with the added attraction of nowhere being too busy or overcrowded. We have been to local music presentations at the Library, lectures at the nearby college, exhibitions at the museum, wine tastings at the local wine shop, and eaten a lot of lobsters and other good food. As soon as our plane starts off down the runway at Heathrow, the relaxation starts, and walking into our regular lovely room - Frenchman's Bay - really does feel like coming to a second home. We come to Maine for three weeks every winter, and spend half that time at the Graycote - it always ends too soon!
