    Il Cleftstone Manor, costruito nel 1884 su "Di Millionaire Row", è uno dei pochi dimore vittoriane per sfuggire il fuoco del 1947. Le diciassette camere, ognuna con bagno privato e magnifiche stanze comuni sono arredate con pezzi d'antiquariato vittoriana e pezzi di periodo, creando un'atmosfera che ricorda del secolo Bar Harbor.     Excellent place.

    This was our first stay ever at Bed & Breakfast. It was our wedding anniversary. We loved the place. Beautiful room, excellent breakfast, friendly staff. I was really glad that I picked that place. We stayed in the Clefstone room. Tomasz & Elena from New Hampshire.

    Top-Notch stay in Bar Harbor

    I don't have enough good things to say about the Cleftstone: peerless hospitality, lovely rooms, wonderful breakfasts, and great location! Be aware of the following facts, and you won't be surprised upon arrival: 1) the house sits above the main "strip" into town, and depending on where your room is, you might hear traffic noise from the road below. 2) Similarly, the house is situated across the road from the College of the Atlantic, so depending on the time of year, you may experience some noise from college kids frolicking on their lawn. 3) It's about a 20-minute walk to the harbor area/town proper. Love this place - would return again in a heartbeat, and recommend it to anyone. It's got the intimate, historical, homelike feel of a bed & breakfast, without feeling as though you're staying at your aunt's house - plenty of room for privacy and anonymity.

    My wife and I had a great time in Bar Harbor and enjoyed our stay at Cleftstone Manor. The service was perfect, room was clean and breakfast was amazing. We'd return without question.

    Never second best!

    This Autumn we returned to Maine as part of a seven week journey. We looked forward to reaching Acadia National Park and hopefully returning to Cleftstone Manor. We had stayed at Cleftstone Manor four years ago and had a great stay at that time. Staying at Cleftstone Manor is special event. The proprietor makes one feel at home with conversation and a tasty happy hour each afternoon. Breakfast each day is wonderful--gourmet type food. The mood is so comfortable that it is hard to leave. One terrific feature is the location which places you within a few minutes of downtown Bar Harbor and the entrance to Acadia National Park.

    Very enjoyable five night stay

    We had a lovely room. Great breakfasts. Owner was very helpful with recommendations - sights to see, places to eat, she loaned out audio CD guide to Acadia Natl Park - driving tours. Very helpful. Social hour every evening was extremely nice - good company to visit with, great snacks provided - bring your own bottle of wine and enjoy an hour or two before going out for dinner.

    Lovely Bed and breakfast

    First time staying at a Bed and Breakfast and I must say it was well worth it. We had a fantastic stay. The food was absolutely wonderful. I figured the breakfast would be mediocre but I was dead wrong. It was fabulous as well as large portions. Ann, the owner was also very helpful. with recommendations for things to do and places to eat.
