"We were here for a week-end with friends for a foootball game. From the moment you enter, you know Atwood House is something special. Warm cookies and fresh brewed iced tea start your visit. Ruth and Larry greet you as family friends. This hospitality is extended throughout the week-end with bot es water, sodas, more baled goods, iced tea or coffee, even "movie candy" for your pleasure. The rooms at Atwood are fabulous! We stayed in the Frank Little Suite. I highly recommend this room. The bed was wonderfully comfortable, exquisite linens. The room was quiet, spacious, huge bathroom with both tub and step in shower, and a large sitting area for reading or relaxing. The breakfasts were tremendous! Fresh fruit, heart-shaped muffins, and house specialty egg dishes. The presentation of the dishes was also marvelous. We didn't need to eat lunch either day! The house itself is a wonder. I don't know how Ruth and Larry keep it so immaculate, yet cozy and inviting. You really have the run of the entire house. The staircase is so elegant, wedding photos and weddings are held here. Having stayed in B &B's around the Big 10 and in other parts of the country, I can tell you Atwood House is one of the very best."
