The Locanda is an ancient eighteenth century house now completely renovated with pleasant rooms in the 1700’s venetian style, everyone with air-conditioning (from june to september), telephone, wall-safe and a modern bathroom with shower, sanitary units and hairdryer. The open beams of the ceilings and the décor created by the able hands of Venetian Craftsmen make every single piece a little work of art.

  From Piazzale Roma (Bus Station)until 11.16 p.m. take the waterbus line nr. 4.2 or 5.2 heading to Fondamente Nove. At Fondamente Nove go to the left for 200 metres up to a street along a canal called Fondamenta dei Mendicanti. Go along this street till you find the square Campo Ss. Giovanni e Paolo.In the square go to the left, along the street Salizada San Zanipolo (or Barbaria dele Tole). The Locanda is at 100 metres along this street, just past the white marble façade of a little church, in a side street on the right (Calle dell Ospedaleto). From Fondamente Nove to the Locanda there are about 10 walking minutes.Only from about 7.00AM to 8.30 PM the line nr. 5.2 (only nr 5.2) makes one more stop after Fondamente Nove, called Ospedale (Hospital). That is closer to us and you don't have to cross any bridges. Once you get off the waterbus you have to imagine that the Locanda is in front of you but on the other side of the block So, go to your left, then right into a narrow and long street and after 50 metres you arrive in a small square, turn right again into the main street called calle del Caffettier. 80 metres further there is a street on your left (calle dell Ospedaletto).The locanda is just inside that street and well visible from the main street.

  From Venice 'Marco Polo' Airport (VCE): Suggested: Waterbus ALILAGUNA .alilaguna.it (blue line: Aeroporto San Marco) to the stop Fondamente Nove (information desk inside the airport). Cost: Euro 15,00 per person.The waterbus leaves every hour until 00.10Get off at Fondamente Nove after about 40 minutes, go to the left for 200 metres up to a street along a canal called Fondamenta dei Mendicanti. Go along this street till you find the square Campo Ss. Giovanni e Paolo.In the square go to the left, along the street Salizada San Zanipolo (or Barbaria dele Tole). The Locanda is at 100 metres along this street, just past the white marble façade of a little church, in a side street on the right (Calle dell Ospedaleto).From Fondamente Nove to the Locanda there are about 10 walking minutes.We would suggest you not to take other waterbuses not heading to Fondamente Nove even if they are leaving earlier, as they would take you further away.Some shuttles of the Blue Line Alilaguna, also stop at the stop Ospedale, which is closer to us and there is no bridges on the way. Once you are on the boat, ask the people in charge whether they stop at Ospedale too.Once you get off the waterbus you have to imagine that the Locanda is in front of you but on the other side of the block.
