Casa degli Angeli

I am from the USA but my family migrated from the little village of Deccio, My wife & I could not believe our luck that there was a B&B in this tiny village. It was very emotional for me to be in the place where I came from, Adriano & Stephanie where just great folks, helpful in all ways!! Their place was easy going, comfortable, charming, & delightful, I cannot say enough but just go there you will like it!!!

We stayed at Casa degli Angeli for a week. It was a pleasant stay in a very nice bed and breakfast and a beautiful environment. Aad en Stephanie made us feel like home. When we left it even felt like we left our Italian home. We will be back! Jorg & Lieke

Bij aankomst werden we hartelijk ontvangen en toen we onze kamer zagen waren we verrast over de grote hiervan, maar bovenal het prachtige uitzicht. Een heerlijke rust, 's-morgensvroeg hoorde je alleen de vogels en het ruisen van de wind door de bomen. De weg er naar toe was spannend, een smal weggetje met een prachtig uitzicht, maar goed te rijden. Heerlijk ontbijt lekker op het terras buiten. Daarbij komt nog steeds een glimlach te voorschijn als ik aan Walli (de kat) denk. Wat een lieverd. Aad en Stephanie zijn er uitstekend in geslaagd om ons binnen de kortste keren echt thuis te laten voelen. Wat een gezellige sfeer. In combinatie met onze uitstapjes naar Lucca, Viareggia (het strand) Vinci en de prachtige grotten (Grotta del Vento) hebben het voor ons een zeer geslaagde vakantie gemaakt. We stayed one night in the B&B after a holiday in Umbrie, but wished we could have stayed longer with Aad and Stephanie. They are a wonderful host and hostess, because they'll do anything to give you a relaxing time, with a real Italian feeling. Please look at the lovely pictures en picture yourself there! We thank both for a lovely diner, warm welcome and flexible services.

Van 27 mei t/m 1 juni 2011 waren mijn vrouw en ik te gast in de B&B. Na een rondreis met de auto in Italie zochten wij een aantal dagen rust. Bij Casa degli Angeli was deze rust te vinden. De Casa is sfeervol Italiaans ingericht. De kamer en badkamer waren erg netjes. In overleg met de gasten werd het ontbijt keurig verzorgd neergezet. Voor de gasten is een aparte koelkast waar je je levensmiddelen koel kan houden. De eigenaren van de B&B hebben folders, kaarten etc. van de omgeving liggen die je mag gebruiken. Zij weten veel van de omgeving. Ze hebben, indien gewenst, leuke tips wat je zou kunnen gaan doen. Wij vonden het erg prettig. Als je rust wil, dan krijg je rust. Heb je zin in aanspraak, dan hebben ze altijd een luisterend oor. In hun tuin zijn diverse zitjes waar je zowel in de zon als uit de zon kan gaan zitten of liggen. In de 5 dagen dat wij hier waren hebben wij ons er thuis gevoeld. Petje af voor de eigenaren. Zij doen er erg veel aan om het je naar je zin te maken.

Not far from Lucca you take this winding road,it gets more narrow the higer you go (view is spectacular). Afther 15 minutes or so you'll arive at the casa where you get a warm welcome from the owners, Aad and Stefanie. The house is a real nice old building on a perfect setting. The rooms are lovely, personal ,furnished with care. There's no a/c but the walls are so thick you can sleepwell even in August when it was realy hot. They have a small swimming pool to cool down, my son enjoyed very muit a lot. The casa is situated on the side of a tiny village,there is one bar where you can drink a beer or buy ice cream.On the other side there is again a beautiful view. One night there was a big Italian dinner next to the church , we attended with Aad ,Stefanie and the other guest of the B&B. Lot's of fun and good food. Aad and Stefanie know some good restaurants around anyway and can give you some tips of where to go to. Lucca, Florence, Cinque Terra, Pisa etc. The beaches are not too far either. We really enjoyed our stay and will certainly stay there again when we visit Toscany.

We have really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful spot in the Tuscan hills. Every night it was great to return to this place where the only sounds you hear come from owls and birds…. The warm welcome of our host and hostess were certainly fantastic! They delivered a great service and prepared delicious Italian diner!!!! We had a very nice room with a beautiful view and very good beds. Stephanie and Aad; thanks for everything!

We arrived here on the final leg of our Tuscan vacation and being exhausted after the initial 2 weeks did not welcome the drive up the steep winding mountain road....but my husvband and I are so thankful we did...because at the end we found a quaint lovely B&B. Adrian and Stephanie have done an amazing job transforming the place and the details they look into and prepare for guests leaves you speechless. The location on top of the mountain amidst the trees overlooking the valley and being away from all the regular traffic really makes this place a wonderful retreat. Being just a short drive away from Lucca further enhances this B&B because if the mood hits and you want to be sorrounded by countless people its only a short car ride away! definitely a place we will go back to if we ever travel in that part of Italy again.
