    First Timers

    First time staying in a B&B. Was a great expectation and was great to have a room and not be in a hotel. This one was great because of the location to the casino, downtown and all the resturants. Will be staying at more B&B and if we stay in Dubuque again we will stay here if possible.

    We stayed in the Deluxe Sweet and LOVED it! Very private, which is just how my husband and I like it. We didn't see owners of the location, breakfast was out and ready for us by 9am. This was a small place, quaint, and the tub in that room was one I wish I could have taken with us. It was a great experience, so relaxing, we loved it.

    Very Nice, Quiet, and Private Stay!

    My wife and I had a lovely time in the Delux Suite. It was very private. We were well taken care of but never saw another person in the house during our stay. The breakfast was very good and varied. The house is just a short distance from the Dubuque river front. Over all a very good stay. We would recommend it!

    Nice night away

    My husband and I spent a night in the deluxe suite room. The house is in a neat, old historic part of Dubuque. I really liked the room. The toilet area was a little tight, but I thought it was kind of cute actually. You probably won't see the inn keepers too much, if at all, but that's what they are going for, it seems. My husband and I didn't mind, as we just wanted to get away from home for a night and enjoy each other's company. In the morning, they had warm muffins out, fresh fruit plates, and waffle mixes ready to make at our leisure. There was juice, milk, coffee, tea, and cereal available too. All in all, our stay was enjoyable.

    A Very Private Lovely B&B

    My wife and I spent a lovely night at the Solon Langworthy. It looks a little ordinary driving up but when you get inside it is a lovely old house. We had the place to ourselves as it turned out the owners were out of town for the night. The downstairs room was very well set out with plenty of room. One of the most outstanding features was the whirlpool bathtub. It was "over the top" nice. We enjoyed it in the evening and my wife went back in the next morning. The town was filled with old buildings and we went down to the Mississippi River Museum. I will stay there again when I get a chance.

    Reservations were easy to make and rate was affordable. Room was clean and adequate. Needs some work on outside grounds and detail/finish work within the room, hall, breakfast area. Seems it's still a "work in progress". Very nice whirlpool/bath area in the ground floor sweet. Breakfast wasn't anything special - muffins, fruit, and make your own waffles. It is private, neighborhood is quiet, and you are close to the Dubuque Riverfront District.
