I own an antique and gift shoppe and found the antiques beautiful and well kept. The home was exceptionally clean. We were the only guest the night we stayed and enjoyed the whole mansion to our selves. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. Loved the price at this great B&B. I would have liked instructions to the jacuzzi and would have liked some bottled water before going to bed. I will know to bring our own beverages next time. Also there was no comfortable chair to sit on in our room so we went down stairs to check our emails. I will definitely recommend this to our friends and family.

We had an enjoyable stay in the Ellen's Orchard room in March,2012. We had the entire home to ourselves. The downstairs is filled with beautiful antiques and a small nook of books and DVD's to enjoy. The kitchen was left open for us to use. We enjoyed the jetted bath and didn't mind it being down the hall since it was very large with plenty of hot water. The bedroom has a unique, pretty chandelier. For breakfast we were served a hot frittata, zucchini bread with a fresh fruit tray in the formal dining room. A few details could be added to the room to make it more convenient such as an alarm clock, a comforter in addition to the bed spread and bathrobes. However, for the price, it is nice. It makes for a lovely, romantic getaway with a good meal. It is off the beaten path but still convenient to the historical homes and temple. We have stayed in Nauvoo many times and recommend this Bed and Breakfast.
On the first floor, Esther's Garden is perfect for guests who prefer accommodations that do not require them to climb stairs. This room, furnished with a queen-size bed, was an addition to the 1904 Baxter home but sits on the foundation of the Mormon home originally on the site. The attached private bath includes a five-foot jetted tub.
Beth's Forest combines the biggest bed, an Olympic queen, with an attached bath that includes a five-foot jetted tub identical to that found in Esther's Garden. The beautiful hand silk-screened wallpaper, combined with views of the vineyards outside, truly brings the beauty of nature into your stay.
In addition to stunning views of the surrounding vineyards, guests in Ellen's Orchard enjoy the largest bathroom with a six-foot jetted tub, although it is a few steps down the hall. Ellen's Orchard also features a queen-sized antique bedroom suite, stunning Bradbury and Bradbury wall coverings and an antique porcelain rose chandelier.
Guests who prefer a little more room will enjoy the extra space of Emma's Aviary, which also has its own attached bath (with shower). The queen-size bed sits in a small alcove, surrounded by windows with breathtaking views of the surrounding vineyards.
A few extra stairs lead guests to Grandma Eleanor's Attic on the third floor. Red and pink stained glass windows tint the three alcoves, brightened by skylights from above. This spacious room comfortably sleeps four with two twin beds in one sleeping alcove and one queen-size bed in another. The third-floor attic also includes a small sitting area and, of course, a private bath (with shower).
