Sweet Magnolia Bed & Breakfast

Cal and Jill are pros! The Sweet Magnolia is one of the very best B&Bs we've ever stayed at. The rooms are large and well appointed. The bed was just perfect. The breakfasts were generous and delicious. The shower had lots of hot water (which is great at the end of a day of exploring) Cal and Jill are super folks and very familiar with the area and the sights to see, where to eat, and things to do. We couldn't be happier with our first stay and we've already been back a second time!

We travel to Sandpoint regularly for both personal and professional travel and are so glad to see a B&B re-open in town! The hosts Calvin and Jill (and family) are very welcoming and hospitable. Breakfasts were terrific and we enjoyed them on the beautiful porch. It was an especially wonderful to be able walk out of our upstairs room and have coffee upstairs on the sunroom before breakfast. When we travel, my husband and I like to have coffee early while waiting for teenaged daughters to wake up for breakfast. But often at other B&Bs, we feel like we are bugging a harried cook who is trying to get breakfast out. Not here! Atmosphere is very relaxing and low-key, yet every need is tended to thoughtfully and professionally. The location is terrific too - just blocks from restuarants and shopping, but far enough away to be out of the hustle and bustle. We have tried almost all the downtown Sandpoint hotels and a couple in Ponderay and this is a wonderful alternative! Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful 'date' weekend, hiking, shopping and sight-seeing and then relaxing at this wonderful quaint bnb!! Friendly helpful innkeepers created delicious breakfasts!!! The home is beautifully restored, we stayed in the first floor room with cute claw-foot tub/shower combo. Very comfortable bed. Would definitly stay again.

Our family had an urgent visit to Sandpoint to visit a gravely ill relative. When I called Calvin for our reservation he was very accomodating and truly sympathetic to our needs. We stayed 5 nights and felt very at home. The breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious and our rooms were very comfortable. Unfortunately, our beloved family member passed away while we were there, but Calvin and Jill were not only the innkeepers, but became very dear friends. I look forward to visiting them again soon.

We just stayed at the Sweet M. We spent the evening sitting on the porch on a beautiful Sandpoint evening. They brought us fresh baked cookies and flowers for our anniversary. The bed was comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. This will be a regular stop when we return to Sandpoint.

After a long road trip and driving through town, my daughter spotted this cute B&B, With no reservations we stopped and they welcome us in. Calvin was so nice and showed us the rooms we could choose from. Our next morning breakfast was great. Coffee was even served upstairs next to our room. We had such a relaxing stay, just what we needed to continue our road trip.
