"Cottage by The Sea was the perfect Bed and Breakfast for our vacation to Down East Maine and Acadia National Park! Carolyn and Buck are very gracious hosts who go out of the way to make you feel at home in their beautiful home right on Kilkenny Cove. My wife and I enjoyed a delicious gourmet breakfast every morning! Carolyn is a spectacular chef; we enjoyed gourmet French toasts, waffles, fruit salads, eggs, home made muffins and bread... The list goes on. We had the pleasure in staying in 2 out of the 3 rooms. Both rooms were spotless and updated with a cozy cottage decor. The view of the water from the yellow room is phenomenal! We loved sitting out by the water enjoying a cup of coffee before we entered into the dining room for casual conversation and a much desired breakfast. Carolyn and Buck always offered us excellent recommendations for restaurants and other places of interest in the area. The cottage was just the right distance to the attractions of Acadia, but far enough away to escape the crowds. You cannot beat the value when considering the service, amenities, food and hospitality given the other lodging in the area! We will definitely come back on our next visit ti Maine! Michael and Sarah"
