I first heard about Historic Banning Mills through an Outdoor Adventure Club I belonged to a while back. I can't remember the name but what I liked most about Historic Banning Mills was the staff and the conciseness of the staff, the quality of the rooms were really good for the rate and it is a pretty good place. I didn't have anything to complain about. The coffee pot was a little dirty in our room but sometimes you can't help that they get stained from a lot of use. Other than that it is a very fun and exciting place to be.

If you are looking for a nice place to go for the weekend I would recommend Historic Banning Mills. My husband and I have only been here once for a weekend after he got back from a deployment. We were able to relax, have some fun, and have a good time overall. The accomodations and activities and even more so the surroundings exceeded my expectations!

We were given a gift certificate for a romantic night with a day of zipping! Everything about our experience exceeded our expectations! The staff, tour guides, workers were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure out visit was the best. We left planning our next adventure. Be sure to go hiking and attend the bird show. Best food ever! Our compliments to the chef!

The inn was very clean. The check in was easy and served with kindness. The inn had many great features from its full size pull table, comfortable lounge area to the spiral stair case to the top of the heavens. The rooms was equipped with a refrigerator, queensize bed, sofa bed, extra pillows, sheets, and blankets. They offered wireless internet and a computer desk for your laptop. The private bath had fresh, fluffy towels. The balcony offered a sight of beauty and a sound of calm. The creek sounds added a great addition to the peaceful bedtime. Room was cleaned daily. It was not equipped with a microwave and the cable was provided but not the best. I suggest bringing in some movies or checking out movies from the front desk. Carollton is the main city about 10 miles away. There were new shopping areas. They included Target, TJ Maxx, Walmart, Ruby Tuesday, O'Charley's, Pizza Hut, Diary Queen, Taco Bell, Kroger Grocery, Publix, Bath and Body Works, Hibbett Sports, and Applebee's restaurant. Pack some games and good trail walking shoes. You can get a great workout from the basketball court to the trail walk.
