My wife and I have a Vacation Rental just down the block from Park Avenue Manor. When my niece, her brother, and her son told me that they were coming to visit from Michigan, unfortunately we were booked. Fortunately, Maurice and Glenn had an opening. I knew that they would be in good hands, and in a great place.
They loved this excellently decorated and equipped, award-winning B&B. From the pristine period décor and amenities, to the great breakfast among interesting people from all over...all hosted by my cordial friends and neighbors...who could ask for more.
All of this at a great price ensured value and a carefree base from which to enjoy this wonderful city.
Thank you Maurice and Glenn.
Wonderful experience. To feel like you are in Savannah and a part of it stay here.
Clean, comfortable, great breakfast, taken care of. If these things are important to you, make this your home away from home.
As always it was a wonderful stay. We would have liked to book an additional night but they were booked up . Atmosphere and food were great. We are already planning another longer stay in the near future. Thanks Maurice and Glenn.
I went to Savannnah to see my daughter at school. We both stayed at the park Ave Manor we absolutely LOVED IT. It was so clean and very comfortable. Felt like we where at home. I would defiantly go back there again. I liked the location very close to the park and the health food store. Maurice and Glen who own the inn are so nice and very helpful. My daughter did not want to leave. We met such nice people while we stayed there also. Thanks so much for a wonderful time. Kim and Cole
We spent three nights at Park Avenue Manor in mid-April and enjoyed our stay immensely. The Victorian manor was charming and exquisitely furnished; the hosts were warm and friendly and extremely knowledgeable about their city; the breakfasts were delicious and unique each day. Even the table settings were different each morning! In addition, Park Avenue Manor’s location at the corner of Forsythe Park provides easy walking access to Savannah's Historic District. We loved our visit and eagerly look forward to staying at this B & B during our next visit to Savannah. We give Park Avenue Manor our highest recommendation.
We stayed at the Park Avenue Manor after planning a whimsical weekend trip to Savannah which one of us had never visited. We found excellent reviews online for the Park Ave. Manor and were not the least bit disappointed when we arrived. Parking was/is a breeze, Glenn and Maurice are consummate hosts, the food (breakfast; and brownies and sherry all day!) was impeccable, and the other guests for our weekend were excellent company, funny and friendly to all. One couple from Florida even offered us a ride up to the River one evening. We will return next year but a bit earlier in the azalea season which we missed this year.
Traveling from California and never visiting Savannah, we took the advice of a local and picked Park Avenue Manor. So glad we listened!!! Parking? No problem. Walking distance to town? Easy. Suggestions for places to eat? Perfect. Welcoming and friendly hosts? All the way. House and room appealing? Absolutely (clean, historic, inviting). Breakfast? Not to be missed - yummy and lots of it!! Rates? Very reasonable. Would we stay there again? You bet. From the beginning when I called to make reservations until we left, Maurice and Glenn were attentive and willing to help. I have never received a thank you from a proprietor, never been walked to the car when leaving .... until PAM ... felt like I was leaving friends. Park Avenue Manor is what Southern Hospitality is all about. Thank you, Maurice and Glenn.
This was my first experience staying at a Bed and Breakfast. It was wonderful. Loved all of the helpful tips that Maurice and Glenn were able to give us while visiting Savannah. The rooms were delightful and amenities plentiful ... from coffee and brownies to soap and shampoo! The patio was a relaxing place to spend time connecting with home in the evening and having an afternoon rest. Unfortunately, I was not feeling well while we stayed. I can't think of a better place in which to feel ill. Thank you!
Park Avenue Manor--The Charm We Expected in Savannah
Our recent 3 day stay at Park Avenue Manor was all we expected and much more.
Our hosts helped us every step of the way to enjoy Savannah to the fullest as first
time visitors. Our room and the entire inn was furnished with impeccable taste.
Breakfasts were delicious and every effort was made to accommodate my husband's dietary needs.
We have stayed in numerous Bed and Breakfasts over the years and we can assure you that you won't find a better one. Outstanding in every way pretty much says it all. You won't be disappointed! Highly recommend!
We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation at this refined and lovely establishment. It felt more as if we were visiting friends than staying as guests. Maurice and Glenn guided us through our vacation travel plans before we even left our home. Upon arrival, we found this charming Victorian to be both cheerful and inviting from the moment we stepped in the door. We have stayed at many B&Bs throughout the world, but at Park Avenue Manor, we experienced attention to detail and courtesy unsurpassed by others. Rest assured we will be back to Savannah, not just because of the
beautiful city, but because of the reception we received at this elegant B&B.
We always enjoy our stays here. The location is great - right near Forsyth Park - in a very quiet section of town, yet easily accessible to everything. The owners are delightful. The rooms are a little on the small side, but very comfortable and clean. We've always enjoyed visiting with the other guests over breakfast, which is excellent.
It is hard to do the Park Avenue Manor justice in a mere page or two. It has got to be the coziness, friendliest place my husband and I have ever stayed in. The two parlors invite one to sit, look around at all the many details, have some always available brownies, sherry or tea and coffee and visit with the other guests. We arrived half frozen and were greeted by a friendly fire in the grate.
We were constantly amazed at how well our hosts had anticipated every possible thing a guest might need, way beyond the usual soaps and hair dryer. There was even an orange duck for floating in the wonderful long and deep claw foot tub.
The breakfast was served at a beautifully set long table and was delicious and different each day, the sort of breakfast that sets you up for good energy all day long: quiche, sausage, unusual egg dishes, decadent freshly baked sticky and cinnamony upside down French toast.
Even though the Victorian house was old and the impeccable rooms small, we never heard the other guests and slept beautifully under the hand made quilts.
We enjoyed imaging how much fun our hosts must have had finding the many pictures, lamps and objects d'art they selected for each colorful room. I kept discovering things as I looked around. In short, every detail showed what pleasure and love are behind the experience of being a guest at the Park Avenue Manor.
We had three lovely nights at Park Avenue Manor and felt so warmly welcomed by Maurice and Glenn. They are perfect hosts, and gave us lots of tips of places to see and eat etc.Breakfasts are sumptuous (but you can walk them off around the city!) and it feels especially homey to relax in the living room areas downstairs and get to know other guests. Little extras like coffee or tea any time, sherry and treats, were great touches. The area is perfect to access all of the historic district, but very peaceful at the same time.
The Park Avenue Manor was a delightful home base for our 2-night stay in Savannah. Elegantly furnished, it's also entirely comfortable and inviting. Information about Savannah is readily available in brochures, maps, and books throughout the B&B. Maurice and Glenn have just the right presence--magically appearing when a question arises (or it's time for the extraordinary breakfast), yet never giving guests the feeling that they're visiting in someone else's home. We'll definitely visit again.
We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the Park Manor Inn in March. Maurice greeted us and was so warm and so helpful in giving us advice on where to dine and what to see.
Our room was so nicely decorated, very clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Our hosts had sherry and frosted brownies as an evening treat and a refrigerator filled with water and soft drinks and coffee and tea available all day.
We definitely would recommend staying at the Park Manor Inn and we will when we return to Savannah. Oh did I mention the great breakfasts-- woonderful and so yummy!!
My husband and I just returned from our first trip to Savannah, which included a stay at the fabulous Park Avenue Manor. It was our first bed & breakfast as well and I can say that we intend to stay at more of these now. The manor is located in the Victorian district, adjacent to Forsyth Park and is a short walking distance from the Historic downtown. This location is perfect for the quietness you want at night, yet very close to all the happenings. Maurice and Glenn really know how to make you feel welcome. They had great suggestions whenever we had questions about what to do and where to go. The breakfasts were spot on and very filling. Each morning there was a different place sitting and a different menu. It was the best food we had on the trip! Each evening, we helped ourselves to brownies & sherry (which is always out for the taking). The rooms were decorated gorgeously and were extremely roomy. Maurice and Glenn have thought of everything, down to the iron/ironing board & hair dryers in the bathrooms. We cannot recommend this B&B enough! You won't be disappointed.
Beautiful home, welcoming hosts, great food, and perfect atmosphere. My husband and I enjoyed two nights at the Park Avenue Manor and would certainly return.
We were greeted warmly by our host, given a tour of the inn, and welcomed to make ourselves at home. We were assured of assistance with any needs or questions, and there were numerous tourist information resources available. The inn is elegant, but comfortable, with coffee always available. Breakfasts were delicious, as were the signature brownies. We look forward to staying at this inn again in the future.
Lovely and charming B&B with true Southern hosts. What a wonderful place to stay for my first visit to Savannah. I definitely will stay here on my next trip to Savannah -- which I hope is soon. Thank you Maurice and Glenn for your hospitality and warmth. And breakfasts were yummy! Great start to the day. Susan
We spent a very enjoyable weekend here! Maurice and Glen made us feel at home, and provided a delicious start to each day. They had great suggestions for things to see and do, all of which were an easy walk from their place. Family style breakfast provided a nice chance to chat with the other guests, and learn their recommendations to. This is a great value, and a perfect way to meet or revisit Savannah.
We stayed at the Park Avenue Manor for four nights in October 2010; we couldn’t have been more pleased with our choice. The inn itself is beautiful; the decor is very warm and charming. The rooms themselves are nicely furnished and very clean. There is an enclosed outdoor area in the back where we sat to read while enjoying iced tea.
The breakfasts were outstanding -- they far exceeded any meals I’ve had at other inns. Dishes were individually prepared (not a help yourself buffet). Each day’s offering was different, and the food and coffee were delicious. Each day there were guests from other areas of the U.S. and from other countries with whom we had friendly conversations while dining.
Maurice and Glenn are terrific hosts -- they made us feel welcome, and even gave colleagues who drove us to the inn a tour of the place. They were very, very helpful with anything and everything we asked about or needed.
The next time we are in Savannah this definitely is where we will be staying. I would highly recommend the Park Avenue Manor to anyone looking for a very comfortable place to stay.
The Park Avenue Manor is a wonderful place to stay while visiting Savannah. The manor is lovely, the service is great and the food was delicious. It is close to the historic district which is a plus. Maurice and Glenn are gracious hosts. We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it..

I loved this place the minute I walked in the door. The outside and inside of the house is gorgeous. Glenn and Maurice were excellent hosts. The breakfasts were tremendous. There was plenty of free street parking which made this place very convenient, I will recommend Park Avenue Manor to all my friends and family. Next time I'm in Savannah I will stay there for sure.
The B&B was absolutely lovely, the innkeepers knowledgeable and delightful, and the breakfasts were fabulous! My husband and I would highly recommend Park Avenue Manor. We loved it and will certainly be back. Many thanks to Maurice and Glenn for a very pleasurable stay!
All the reviews we read about Park Ave. Manor were accurate. The inn, and our room, were very clean. Maurice and Glenn were excellent at making all the guests welcome, yet never were overbearing. My wife and I have already recommended the inn to friends. Plus, sipping brandy in front of a fire in the parlour, at the end of busy day, was very enjoyable.
My daughter and I stayed at the Park Manor Inn when we went to Savannah to work on planning her wedding. Glenn and Maurice were so welcoming and so helpful - making suggestions and answering lots of questions, all while showing us the finest in " Southern Hospitality". Our room was comfortable and clean and our breakfasts werre delicious! I would definitely stay there again!
My husband and I stayed at the Park Avenue Manor for the 4th year in a row this year to celebrate our 18th wedding anniversary and my birthday. The first time we stayed there, Glenn and Maurice made us feel so welcome that we've always returned each year since. We feel as though we are visiting family and Maurice and Glenn have continued to be gracious and wonderful hosts. The breakfasts are amazing as well as the company. They are always willing to help us find things to do that we haven't experienced yet in Savannah and their suggestions are always great. This year we went to Rocks on the Roof at the Bohemian Hotel at their suggestion and we were not disappointed. We would never stay anywhere else! The B&B is beautifully decorated with victorian era furnishings and everything is just beautiful. We also enjoy the complimentary brownies and sherry...especially the brownies! :) The Manor has become our Savannah home away from home and we just adore Glenn and Maurice!

My husband and I decided to visit Savannah to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary. We had heard about the city's historic charm and found it to be appropriate to search for a B&B. After researching online I came across all of the amazing reviews of Park Manor so we decided to book them for our vacation. When we arrived, to our excitement, my breath was truly taken away at how beautiful each room was decorated. The attention to detail is impeccable and everything from the unlimited sherry to the array of comfy pillows on your bed make you feel right at home. Our stay at the Park Avenue Manor immediately satisfied our thirst for authentic Southern Hospitality. So much of our 4 day stay was spent indoors because the room was so relaxing! Breakfasts were all delicious and the location allowed us to walk through Forsyth Park and into town every morning which was delightful. Maurice and Glenn truly go above and beyond by keeping an exceptional home for their guests. They have truly SET THE BAR for our first B&B experience and we can't wait to go back again! Thank you again! Katrina + Keith
This was our second stay at Park Avenue Manor and we enjoyed ourselves even more this time. Maurice and Glenn were absolutely wonderful and just as accomodating as our last vist. Maurice even called The Old Pink House and made our dinner reservations for us. They truly care about their guests and have many suggestions and recommendations for tours and dining. We definitely recommmend staying here. Their location is within walking distance to River Street or they'll call a pedicab and have you picked up at the front door. Oh, and the breakfasts were delicious. If you're planning a trip to Savannah, definitely stay here, you won't be disappointed!!
Park Avenue Manor B&B is a true gem. Excellent food, service, cleanliness and extras. Truly a value for the money. Savannah has so much to offer and the hospitality the city provides is truly echoed in the hospitality at this B&B. The innkeepers were exceptional. Will definitely return.
Maurice and Glenn own a gem of a B&B. From the moment we arrived at the front door - which was opened immediately by Glenn we could see how much we were going to enjoy our stay. Glenn gave us a guided tour of the ground floor (1st floor for US customers) We were staying in the enormous Georgia Suite which was delightful. Although there are no tea and coffee faciities in the room - coffee is available 24 hours a day in the dining room. Our sitting area door opened directly onto a gorgeour terrace with tables and chairs. The 2 rooms were filled with interesting books and furniture., and a fridge with complimentary water and soft drinks. There was sherry and brownies available in the hall. We were a little unsure about the communal breakfast that was provided - but in fact our fellow guests were interesting and amusing company. There is no choice at breakfast, but the owners ask about any food requirements/allergies etc - which are met accordingly. The hotel is situated at the bottom of the historic district. Had I been more mobile (I was, at the time, walking only with the aid of a crutch, due to an operation) the walk into town would have been delightful. Unfortunately, we were obliged to drive or book a taxi (which cost about $7 each way). I cannot compliment Maruice and Glenn's B&B enough. Unless you want impersonal modernity in the centre of town - this is the place to stay in Savannah!
I stayed only two nights at Park Avenue Manor and it was great! Glenn and Maurice are very welcoming and incredibly helpful about places to see and eat-really critical as I'm vegan. They even went to the trouble of making a vegan breakfast for me so I could join the other lovely people staying at the Manor while I was there. For my fellow vegan travelers there's a coffee shop and grocery store/deli right down the street that cater to vegans, as well as the Mellow Mushroom pizza parlor where you can get a veggie pizza with Daiya! I think what all of us staying at Park Avenue Manor enjoyed the most was the complimentary cream sherry set out all day. We all enjoyed some "sherry time" just about any time. Thanks again!
All that is gracious and welcoming in Savannah is reflected in the Park Avenue Manor and its owners Maurice and Glenn. My Wife and I arrived extremely early in the morning and were invited to join the other guests for breakfast. A delicious meal and good conversation helped us revive after a long night’s train ride. The Georgia Suite was large and filled with the same warm decor that envelops the property inside and out. Glenn and Maurice were always eager to offer suggestions and advice on everything from local sights to fun eateries.
Park Avenue Manor is just off the edge of Forsyth Park in a non-commercial part of town. While there is free public transit nearby, we found it was even better to enjoy the parks and squares of Savannah on foot. It provided the peace and serenity we were looking for on our vacation.
By the time our three day stay was over we felt as if we were saying good-by to the dearest of friends.
Would we recommend the Park Avenue Manor? We already have, and will continue to do so. It is a true treasure.
Lee & Joanne
My husband and I travelled to Savannah for the first time and stayed at this lovely B &B...lucky us! Maurice and Glenn are wonderful hosts and provide first class service
From assisting you with travel or dining plans to the scrumptious feast at breakfast! I Cannot say enough good .... Just visit them..you won't be disappointed.

Just spent two nights at a simply fabulous B&B. The hosts cannot do enough for their guests. The accomomdation and location is outstanding. Once you sample the hospitality you will want to return year after year. We have already booked our room for 2013.
Park Avenue Manor is a really pleasant place to headquarter in Savannah. The location is fantastic. The rooms are wonderfully decorated and designed to pamper. Breakfast is absolutely delicious. The private garden is such a pleasant spot to relax. The innkeepers are fantastic fellows who go the extra 10 miles to make sure your stay at the Manor and in Savannah is perfect. Kudos to Maurice and Glenn for the Park Avenue Manor, a real treasure.
We recently spent a night at the Park Manor and found it extremely comfortable. The room was spacious , beautifully furnished, and extremely clean. We also enjoyed the great breakfast and peaceful courtyard. Maurice and Glen are great hosts. They go the extra step with the added amenities (sherry, brownies, soft drinks) and their knowledge of the city. This is definitely a first class bed and breakfast!
1st day we asked where we could walk to to grab dinner. We headed out and it began to pour down rain. Maurice and Glenn hunted us down hiding under a carport and drove us to dinner. Great suggestions as to where to go and what to do according to our interests. Location is excellent. 2 doors away from free concerts in the park, strolling in the evenig or running in the morning.(far enough away to not hear it if you do not like it). So happy we stayed here instead of near riverfront. Most AMAZING breakfasts! The home has so many great places to relax with a cup of coffee. Inside and out. Slept like a baby every night. We never heard another guest unless we were in a common area. Great little attention to details. Ex. Off bug spray for walks in the evening, Local menus, and pick up service at the door. We will be back.
We stayed at Park Manor this past week and all the reviews on this site are right on target. The accomodations are wonderful and the breakfasts were outstanding. The location is right next to Forsythe Park and within easy walking distance to the historic district. Parking is plentiful and the neighborhood is quiet.
Maurice & Glenn were exceptional hosts! We loved it so much and enjoyed Savannah that we are already returning in a few weeks for another stay. My wife asked if we could celebrate every anniversary at Park Avenue Manor. I wouldn't mind that. Thanks again Maurice & Glenn for a beautiful stay! I say to anyone who plans to visit Savannah don't cheat yourself stay here at least 1 night to experience this B & B and the great hospitality.
From the second we walked in the door the owners made us feel welcomed. They told us about places to visit, things to see and restaurants in town. Sherry and chocolate brownies were the treat of the evening after a long day of sightseeing. Coffee and tea was always hot and cold beverages always available. The Manor was pleasantly decorated with vintage decor, it was clean and comfortable. To our surprise "red" an adopted cat was outside in the backyard a great place to enjoy a peaceful time time in the evenings. Breakfast is a must. Do not miss them it would be a sin. My hat is off to a wonderful Inn to stay in Savannah.
-- Linda Montesano
Did I mention that we loved it?! We were 2couples traveling together, and this was the first time any of us had stayed in a bed and breakfast, and because it was such a positive experience, we all agree that we may never go back to regular hotels, again. The inn is decorated beautifully, and lends itself perfectly to historic Savannah. Our room was spacious and the bed was really comfy (my husband and I stayed upstairs in the "Robert E Lee" room). Maurice and Glenn have thought of everything, down to the smallest detail (to give you an idea, they had Victorian music playing in the dining room during breakfast; there was a binder full of menus from area restaurants in one of the 2 parlors; brownies and sherry were available 24x7; there was a guest refrigerator stocked with soft drinks and water; plus too many others details to mention). Breakfast was both hot, and delicious (we learned from some of the other guests that typically continental breakfasts - bagels, cereal, etc.- are served at b&b's, so we knew we really lucked out. Location was very convenient, plus Maurice arranged to have us picked up right in front of the inn, for our trolley tour. We definately intend to visit Savannah again, and as there's so much to see and do, and we barely scratched the surface, with only a weekend's stay. The planning of the trip though will be so easy next time, because we know exactly where we'll be staying! Thank you Maurice and Glenn, for everything!
Food, environment, other house guests, location... all fabulous.
Convenient access to downtown historic district yet a bit off the main tourist locations.
Gracious inn keepers with knowledge of Savannah history and culture. Excellent chefs as well. Food was hearty, healthy, beautifully served and delicious.
From the moment we made our reservations till we reluctantly checked out after our stay, we couldn't have asked for more. Maurice and Glenn are the perfect hosts. The atmosphere in the inn is perfect, like a visit to a dear friend's house. The house itself is beautiful, and the owners have added everything a guest could want. One of the best things was finding so many little surprises, like the books about Savannah and the artwork. Breakfast could not have been better, and the coffee pot, brownies and sherry were always tempting.
Perfect B&B for a truly relaxing and pleasant stay in Savannah, GA!
This B&B was charming and a fantastic deal for the money. The owners created a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere for our first trip to Savannah. We stayed in the Robert E Lee room and found it to be very cozy with unique knick knacks/historical memorabilia. Highly recommend taking advantage of the backyard patio with a bottle of wine, morning coffee or simply a good book with the friendly neighborhood cat, Red. Maurice and Glenn make a delicious breakfast, great conversation and, of course, the complimentary sherry with brownies were a fantastic treat. All in all, we highly recommend and thank them for a Wonderful time in Savannah, GA.
Our recent stay at the Park Avenue Manor was nothing but spectacular from
the moment we arrived we were greeted by our friendly hosts, Maurice and
Glenn. The house was beautifully decorated and the rooms were comfortable
and inviting after a long day of exploring. The breakfast each morning
was hearty and delicious. We couldn't have asked for a better trip and
next time we are in Savannah, we certainly will stay with PAM!
My fiancee and I stayed at Park Avenue Manor for her birthday. The inn beautiful!! Cozy rooms with unbelievable attention paid to the decor. Maurice and Glenn are super friendly and wonderful hosts who provide an absolutely gourmet breakfast! Their knowledge of their fair city and willingness to share that knowledge is invaluable. Their suggestions for restaurants were fantastic! They even have a book of menus from many local places to look through before you venture out. The location near one end of Forsyth park is walking distance from practically anywhere in Savannah you'd want to go. It's no surprise that the Inn, and Maurice and Glenn, have won several awards. It doesn't get any better than Park Avenue Manor.
We recently took three rooms for a snmall family get together for my 60th birthday and had a wonderful time. The inn was beautiful and immaculately maintained, the breakfasts were delicious, and Glenn and Maurice were friendly, helpful, and gracious. It was our first visit to Savannah and Park Avenue Manor was a major factor in making it a highly enjoyable and memorable weekend.
Our hosts were very accommodating and informative, from the moment we called for a reservation to our departure. The manor was lovely, clean, and well organized with a wonderful patio. Our room, in the front of the manor, was very quiet, with nice linens, and a comfortable bed. The bathroom that had lots of shelves to use for toiletries. I was pleasantly surprised to find TWO luggage stands in the wardrobe. Bravo!! The K-cup coffee maker, available to guests at all times, plus the brownies and sherry kept us off our diets, but very happy. There was not an omitted detail. Thank you for an awesome stay.
Maurice and Glenn are wonderful hosts and will help with any questions, directions, info on area you may have. Breakfasts were great, room was beautiful and spacious. The brownies, sherry, water and soft drinks were so nice to have available and complimentary. The courtyard was so comfortable, relaxing and private from the hustle and bustle of downtown savannah. It was great to come back each afternoon to get away from the crowds to a peaceful place. Right across from the beautiful Forsyth Park, great place to walk, ride bikes, check out the fountain, have a picnic, play frisbee, etc. also not far from Drayton 700 restaurant( great food), coffee house(less than 5 min walk), and healthfood store( next door to coffee shop). I would recommend to anyone, we will be back it was great to have a place where you are treated like family yet on vacation.
We really enjoyed our two night stay at park avenue manor! The inn keepers were very helpful and knowledgable about the city. Beautiful house and fantastic breakfast. Room was nice and cool even in the dead of summer. We will be back!
My daughter and I wanted to have a special Mother-Daughter get away before she moves to Texas. Our time in Savannah nailed it and our stay at Park Avenue Manor made it a special memory that we'll treasure. Our room was immaculate and gave us the perfect feeling of "stepping back in time". Maurice and Glenn make you feel like family from the moment you arrive and breakfast is exceptional! The location makes everything accessible by walking, which eliminates driving, parking, and let us truly take it all in at our own pace. This is truly a place to come back to!
My boyfriend and I truly fell in love with Savannah during a 4-day stay last week. Its haunting beauty, oak-lined streets and squares dripping with Spanish Moss, horse-drawn carriage tours, Forsyth park, and huge mansions & colorful Victorian houses make Savannah a true American gem. The cream of the crop, though, is the Park Avenue Manor where we had the best, most relaxing 4-night stay! Glenn and Maurice were such gracious and considerate hosts, making sure everything went well with our stay from the moment we walked in. All their hard work and effort towards their B&B truly show, from the interior decorations, to the yummy brownies, cleanliness, and most of all - the BREAKFAST! Oh the breakfast! Back home, breakfast normally consist of coffee and maybe a banana due to lack of time, so we looked forward to Glenn and Maurice's breakfast every morning. So delicious and filling! A lot of thought and hard work definitely go into their cooking. I also fell in love with our own spacious, sunny, pink-painted bathroom in the Colonel's Room. I was so excited about the old-fashioned tub with the claw, especially! We also had a sitting room and a desk & chair - perfect spot for catching up with my travel blog. I look forward to going back to Savannah soon, and I know where I'll definitely be staying at!
We stayed 5 nights at the manor. It was awesome. Food was soooo good. The guys never missed a beat. It was nice to have their cell number bec if we got lost or had a problem we felt like we had someone who cared. The decor is so comfortable. I could just live there forever. Its the best B&B to stay in. Everything is walking distance and feels like home. We will be back!!! Slept like a baby!!!
My mother (age 86) and I stayed at the Park Avenue Manor as part of our mother-daughter trip. The first floor Georgia Suite was perfect for us. Comfortable beds, quiet and private access to the back patio. Maurice and Glenn accommodated my mother's gluen-free needs with such tasty options and were gracious hosts. Forsyth Park is so close (and beautiful), and there is an organic market with gluten-free and other options just a block away. I highly recommend the walk through the center of the park to get to the river. Beautiful.
The Park Avenue Manor is just as reported in so many five star reviews. It is exceptionally well appointed and very comfortable. Maurice and Glen have considered every small detail and have made them all special. It is hard to leave this special place to visit other "historic homes" in Savannah. Key among its strong points is the personal hospitality displayed by both Glenn and Maurice. They make each visitor seem welcome and special. Highly recommended. Though at the edge of the Historic District near Forsyth Park, Glen recommended the trolley tour that had free shuttle to the beginning and returned us "home", if one didn't want to stroll through the lovely Savannah squares.
The Park Avenue Manor B&B is a pure gem in very sense of the world. This B&B was everything a B&B should be and more - it was the perfect home away from home while my friend and I choose to have an extended Holiday weekend for our first time in Savannah. Maurice and Glenn gave excellent recommendations on things to do and places to eat - as well as excellent chefs for our morning breakfasts. We stayed in the Georgia Suite for our stay - it was a 2 bedroom room with a private entrance into the courtyard. The queen size bed was so comfortable, that you felt you were on vacation simply because of the mattress. The twin size daybed in the extended room was no different. One of the best features of this B&B is the complimentary bottled water and soda they provide and restock daily. They also provide brownies and sherry in the parlor for your liking. Alcohol is allowed and our room did have wine opener if you choose to partake in adult beverages. The courtyard is very relaxing to sit down after a long day of vacationing or the perfect spot for your morning coffee before breakfast - it did not seem like it was being used by any of the other guests but us during the stay. I would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone. The only negative I have to say and this is no fault to Maurice and Glenn but it is at least a mile walk to Historic Savannah's activities so if you come without a car (that was our case) be prepared to do A LOT of walking or paying for a pedi-cab or taxi. We made out just fine though without transportation.
We planned to be in Savannah 3 nights. When we saw how pleasant the B7B was, we stayed an extra night. The overall experience was first rate. Terry and Donna
From the moment we arrived we knew we had chosen the perfect B and B. The building is just beautiful. Glenn and Maurice greeted us warmly and made us feel like old friends. The room were wonderful - beautifully furnished with comfortable beds. The meals were fantastic!!! I can't do them them justice with a description and I won't try. I will say that our plates were clean at the end of breakfast. The parlors were ideal and great to relax in at the end of a day with a good book and a glass of sherry. We also enjoyed sitting in the garden. My parents have always stayed in hotels on vacations and were excited to stay in a B and B for the first time. Park Avenue Manor met and surpassed their expectations. Glenn and Maurice answered all our questions and made wonderful suggestions for evening meals and tours. The location was ideal for us because not only was it across from Forsyth Park it allowed us to stroll passed some lovely houses on our way to the river front. My wife and I stayed in The Colony Room and my parents stayed in the Robert E. Lee room. We will stay here again and will be recommending it to all our friends and family. Our one complaint is that the place was so cozy it was difficult for us to leave.
Maurice and Glen are the BEST! Their inn was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The food was great and they go above and beyond to make sure your stay was memorable.
We had a wonderful time in Savannah and coming home to a quaint inn in the evening was very pleasant. The Inn is well kept and the innkeepers are very informative and friendly. We would recommend this anyone visiting Savannah.
A wonderful place to stay in Savannah, GA. The inn is beautifully furnished, the rooms are very comfortable and included a desk and 2 chair. The breakfasts are delicious. In addition there is ample space both indoors and outdoors to sit and visit with other guests. By far the best bed and breakfast inn that we have stayed at.
The home and location are excellent. The residence was impeccably clean and well maintained. My bed was very comfortable. The owners knowledgeable and friendly. We got directions when we needed them and wonderful restaurant recommendations. It would have been nice to have some nice soaps as it looked like ours was taken from a hotel and the breakfast was good but not great. I always expect something that I don't make at home so scrambled eggs was a bit of a disappointment. It would have been nice to have something traditionally southern or upscale such as a quiche or frittata with maybe a sweet bread or muffin. The garden was nice to have tea and they even supply the bug spray if you need it. I love the brownies at night and the variety of beverages. I would definately stay there again.
[Resource Id: InnkeeperResponse, Set: reviews] Thank you for your review. For clarification, we order our soaps from a highly reputable company, recommended through our professional organization. In addition, we serve a variety of homemade breakfasts, which include (but are not limited to) fresh fruit, quiches, strata’s, frittata’s, scrambled eggs, waffles, French toast, biscuits, muffins, sweet breads, and more.
Very comfortable, friendly place to stay in Savannah
We really enjoyed our stay at Park Avenue Manor. The owners were extremely friendly, and they were eager to provide advice for local attractions and places to eat. The inn is nicely decorated and the rooms are comfortable and cozy. The brownies and sherry in the parlor are a nice touch as well. Breakfast was well-presented but not extraordinary.
The nicest cleanest place I have ever stayed in. It felt like home which is the highest testimony you can give. Maurice and Glenn were wonderful hosts, the breakfasts were delicious, southern hospitality at its best. Love, love loved my stay. Would go back in a minute. Rooms were very comfortable. Loved the courtyard. Linda Giere, Clearwater, Fl.
Park Avenue Manor is the best-run B&B we have ever stayed at. What distinguishes it is that the owners, Maurice and Glenn, have tried to anticipate every need of their patrons. This attention to detail is unrivaled.
The B&B is on the Southern edge of Forsyth Park which is about 6 blocks long. Above the park are the historic squares of the City which with the Savannah College of Art and Design and the riverfront area are the main tourist attractions. We simply walked to everything thoguh Glenn and MAurice informed us of alternatives (including free loop bus).
The B&B is extremely clean, both in the common ares and in our room. There is one seating for breakfast at 8:30 AM which fostered discussion among the B&B’s ten residents (2 per room). The food was very good and included fresh fruit, orange juice, coffee and a main course (scrambled eggs and ham one morning and waffles another). The quality was great and we left the tabled filled but not stuffed.
Parking was on the street but plentiful. One, however, must be vigilant as various streets are swept on different nights meaning that you may have to move your car one evening during your stay depending on where you park. This is not a big deal for a New Yorker.
Maurice and Glenn are very helpful and make a point to ask if there is anything they can do to make your stay better in the B&B or the City. They are very flexible as our time of arrival changed three times.
For excellent service to their customers, a great breakfast, wonderful touches (the library is filled with books on the City), coffee all day, sherry and brownies in the evening, go to this B&B.
It is hard to think that this B&B can be surpassed.
This B&B is welcoming in nature and very comfortable. It is a great place to begin a walking tour of this historic city and if you decide to do a 'Hop on, Hop off' tour, you can be picked up at the door. We had a wonderful, but unfortunately brief stay in this wonderful city. Maurice and Glen are friendly and full of information and always accessible,
Going to Savannah and looking for the perfect Bed & Breakfast?? Look no further.....Park Avenue Manor is your place. It's conveniently located with outstanding food and accommodations. Maurice and Glenn are amazingly helpful with restaurant and tour suggestions....besides being just down right fun to talk with! I'm looking forward to my next trip to Savannah and Park Avenue Manor.
If Savannah was the meal, Park Avenue Manor was the dessert!
My wife and I stayed at Park Avenue Manor for a visit to historical Savannah for her 50th birthday. After a long day of sightseeing the opportunity to settle into the southern elegance of the Park Avenue was a terrific way to end a day. Breakfast was wonderful and our hosts, Maurice and Glenn, were very gracious and accomodating. Would definitely return!
My husband and I and my two sisters and their spouses stayed at the Park Avenue Manor over St. Patrick's Day weekend. We had a wonderful time at the Inn sitting in the parlor, enjoying wonderful breakfasts in the exquisite dining room and relaxing in the outside courtyard! Maurice and Glenn, the innkeepers were great -very accommodating, very knowledgeable about the city and a joy to be around. The Inn was beautiful - decorated with lovely antiques, amazing window treatments and quilts for all of the beds. It was very clean and in a perfect location next to Forsyth Park! We will certainly arrange to stay here on future visits to Savannah!
My husband and I, along with my two sisters and their husbands, spent St. Patrick's Day weekend at Park Avenue Manor. This was my first experience at a B&B and it was wonderful! Maurice and Glenn are very welcoming and accommodating, the rooms are beautifully furnished with lovely antiques, and everything was very clean. Our group especially enjoyed the outside courtyard area where we spent every evening during our stay. Maurice and Glenn are very knowledgeable on the City of Savannah, restaurants, things to do, places to go, etc. And the breakfasts in the morning were delicious! The table was beautifully set in a different color and pattern of china each morning. I'm only sorry we missed the French toast morning, which was served the day we arrived. I would recommend staying here any time!
My wife and I spent 4 nights at Park Avenue Manor while exploring Savannah, GA. What a great city and Park Avenue was the perfect place to stay. The accommodations were excellent, including the location (a stone throw from Forsyth Park). The breakfast was great and the hospitality was more than welcoming. Lots of nice small amenities like a community fridge with water and ice, and brownies and sherry in the parlor. We’ve stayed at many B & Bs across the country and Park Avenue is at the top of our list. Glen and Maurice run a class operation.
I spent this last weekend at Park Manor. I have stayed at many B and B's and this rates as one of my favorites. Both Maurice and Glenn ( the proprietors) are warm, friendly people, with a wealth of knowledge about Savannah- places to eat, places to see etc.
The home is beautifully decorated with priceless antiques and their breakfast table was set each morning with a different china pattern. Breakfast was delicious and coffee, brownies and sherry were provided in the evenings-along with soda and bottled water.
The bedrooms were beautifully furnished and very clean.
Savannah is a wonderful place to visit, and my husband and I will be returning soon. We will be staying with Glenn and Maurice at their lovely B and B.

We love Savannah, this was our second time around and the best part of our stay was the Park Avenue Manor. It was like being in our own Somewhere in Time movie. Victorian charm everywhere you look. Breakfast was served on elegant dinnerware and the food was delicious. Glenn and Maurice are warm and charming hosts. We stayed in the Georgia Suite and we fell in love with this room. My husband and I cannot say enough good things about the Park Avenue Manor.
If like us, your choice of accommodation on vacation is staying at a Bed and Breakfast, then you must treat yourself to the Park Avenue Manor when visiting Savannah. Full of Victorian charm and the history of Savannah (do take the time to browse through the books), Maurice and Glen will graciously welcome you and help you get the most out of your stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our family breakfasts getting to know our fellow guests by sharing stories and even suggesting what to see and do. And at the end of the day, retreating to the patio with a glass of wine guaranteed a good night’s sleep. We will be back!
Maurice and Glenn obviously love the B&B business. They were so welcoming and thoughtful. We've been to many B&B's but none with friendlier hosts. Breakfast is like a formal family sit-down. Elegant dinnerware, delicious food, and an intimate setting that encourages even the most reserved guest (like myself) to converse. That's the reaon for going to a B&B--to enjoy the hospitality of a real home. Nobody provides it better than these two. This was our second visit and for sure we will return!
Maurice and Glenn were the perfect hosts to us. Their home was beautifully decorated with Victoria era furniture and charm. Delicious full breakfast each morning and a lovely backyard patio to sit and enjoy some Savannah sunshine ! Comfortable bed to sleep and the pictures show the uniqueness of each room. We'll be back ! thanks Maurice and Glenn.

I liked the fact that this is a quiet yet friendly inn. The breakfast was delicious and it was great to sit down with all the other guests and visit about Savannah over the meal. Very attractive and comfortable rooms.
This was the second time we've stayed at Park Avenue and it just seems to get better; service, accommodations, charm and breakfasts are all superb, Highly Recommended for any visit to Savannah.

If you are interested in spending a wonderful get away in Savannah the Park Avenue Manor should be on your list of B&B's to visit. The innkeepers provided us with beautiful victorian surroundings, southern hospitality and knowledge of the Savannah area. Treat yourself the next time you are in Savannah and stay at the Park Avenue Manor.
We returned for our second visit to the lovely Park Avenue Manor at the end of January, 2012. Once again, we were greeting with a heartfelt welcome from the hosts, Maurice and Glen, and caught up on news about town since we were there last. This inn has SUCH wonderful charm...antiques abound! It was a beautiful weekend in Savannah and the adjacent large Forsyth Park was full of SCAD students and other residents enjoying the unusually warm weather and served as encouragement for us to walk a good bit around town. These gentlemen continue to offer superior lodging at a very reasonable price and includes a most scrumptious full seated breakfast. There is cable TV with ample channel selections, complimentary snacks and appertifs, and a stocked refrigerator offering complimentary water and soda. The en suite bathroom is stocked with all the nice necessities...including a yellow duckie! The guys checked on us often to make sure all of our needs were being met. We heartily recommend this treasure of a B & B away from the hectic crowds and noise of River St. and Bay St.!
Recently stayed at Park Ave Manor. This was a different stay for me since I normally stay at Marriott chain hotels. I thought since my business trip was Friday & Saturday -this would be a good change of pace - It exceeded my expectations in many ways. First - it was just such a beautiful historic house and the hosts were A+. Maurice and Glen were very gracious and made me feel right at home. I got to see most of the rooms and I would gladly stay in any of them. They are all nicely decorated and my room was very comfortable. Only down side is breakfast is seved at 8:30 and I had to leave before that time to get to my Friday meeting. I did have breakfast on Saturday and it was just perfect - the food was delicious. Coffee & tea were offered 24 hours and there were some snacks if you got hungry at night. Soft drinks and water were complimentary. I would highly recommend this B&B if you were visiting Savannah for business or pleasure. I am looking forward to my next trip to Savannah and I know where I will be staying. You can't do wrong with this B&B and it is no wonder they have gotten many B&B awards - they deserve every award for making one feel like you are at home.
My husband and I stayed there this past weekend, and it was great. We stayed in the Robert E. Lee room, the bed was very, very comfortable the best night's sleep I have had in a while. The room was clean, and quiet. Glen and Maurice were great and made us feel very much at home. We had breakfast the next morning and it was great too. This was a nice overnight trip for us since we wil be having a baby soon. We will defiantly come again!
Thank you to Maurice & Glenn for the wonderful hospitality on my recent stay. Our friends Mike and Mark raved about your place so when I knew I would be sliding through town I thought I'd heed there advice and I was not disappointed. Lovely rooms, beautiful courtyard, yummy breakfast and perfectly situated in Savannah, I can't wait to return with my lovely wife and M&M.

My husband and I went to Savannah for a long weekend getaway before our big move from DC to Boston and could not have asked for a better B&B. Maurice and Glenn are the BEST! They are friendly and accommodating and have decorated the place to feel so homey. The sitting areas are lovely and the bedrooms (all with private baths) have so many trinkets to explore that you forget there's actually a TV in your room. (A rarity at most of the B&Bs I've stayed in.) They also have a little fridge accessible for guests in all five rooms full of water and sodas for your enjoyment. It's those little touches that make it unforgettable. Not to mention the breakfast they cook up is delicious.
And don't forget about the location! It's on the south end of downtown but only a 20 minute walk to the river which pretty much covers the entire historic district. You're right by Forsyth Park and can walk through all the squares on your way to explore Savannah. It's a quiet neighborhood feel which gets you a little out of the bustle of downtown to enjoy all Savannah has to offer.
110% recommended!!
This was my first experience with a bed and breakfast, but I can assure you it will not be my last. Maurice and Glen are the perfect hosts. I have no negative comments at all.The breakfasts were delicious! The quiche and biscuits were superb, as were the brownies and sherry every night. It was a little cool the weekend we were there, so we are looking forward to going back and enjoying our sherry and brownies on the back patio. the location is convenient and the hosts are accomodating. The rooms were large and tastefully decorated. Thank you, guys!

This great B&B in Savannah is located in a very nice area, centrally located but not in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. The house is charming and welcoming, full of antiques that make you feel like you are in the Victorian era. The room was very spacious and comfortable, Glenn and Maurice were great host, their breakfast was superb and they were great sources of information on places to visit, shop and eat. We hope to be back in Savannah soon to stay in this wonderful B&B.
Ramon & Julio.
We stayed at the Park Avenue Manor for the first time in July 2011 and we knew we wanted to go back at Christmastime. It's no wonder that Maurice and Glenn have received awards for their well managed, very clean, beautifully appointed Inn...and it was indeed beautiful at Christmas. It is located on a quiet street away from the crowds, but very close to many wonderful restaurants and right at the end of Forsythe Park.
It was so good to come back to a nice warm fire and relax after walking through the park and along the riverfront on a sunny but very cool December day.
We make frequent trips from Florida to Atlanta to see our family, so this will be a favorite stopping place for us.
Larry & Adria Schott
I was able to stay at the Park Avenue Manor over my Christmas holiday. It was beautifully decorated for the holidays that was so fitting for this Victorian charm. The new Georgia suite was so very comfortable. Glenn & Maurice pamper you as if you were family staying with them. The dining room was beautifully set and the family breakfast was spectacular. These guys love their B&B and love the guests to enjoy their visit to Savannah. What a wonderful time you will have here. You will want to make a repeat visit! Thanks guys! Mark VG
Our recent stay at the Park Avenue Manor was a great experience. The Inn is beautiful. The innkeepers are very personable and will go out of their way to help you without being intrusive! The breakfast was delicious every morning and the table settings were lovely! It was a great place to stay!
Park Avenue Manor was our home for several nights in Nov 2011. It was a perfect spot for us, beginning to end. Great location, and the owners were very aware of terrific restaurants within easy walking distance. And they knew the city. Our room was incredibly clean, and the breakfasts were top rate. Also met interesting people while there. Had wanted to visit Savannah for years when we lived in Sarasota FL, and finally made it once we moved to Palm Springs CA. Go figure! Thanks guys, for a wonderful stay.
My husband and I stayed here in early November, just for one night because they were all booked up for the Marathon, etc. We loved every minute of it... Walking distance to great restaurants, shops and architectural gems. Easy parking. Comfortable, clean and well appointed room. We met some other guests who and shared a sherry with them in the parlor while we chatted. The gas fire added a nice touch to our evening conversation! Breakfast was fresh, hot and delicious. Coffee was available as early as you like because of the Keurig - a hit with my husband. All in all - we had a great visit and would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I had the honor of staying at the Park Avenue Manor on Nov 20-24. We had never stayed at a B&B before and was quite impressed by the Park Avenue Manor. Maurice and Glenn were the perfect hosts. They recommended awesome restaurants, wonderful historical tours and the unlimited sherry and brownies were a nice touch. The Park Avenue Manor was built in 1889. The rooms were large as well as your private bathroom. The courtyard was very nice with plenty of seating. The whole property was immaculately clean and was decorated with many Savannah historical items. The breakfasts every morning were hot, healthy and plentiful. This was our first trip to Savannah and our first time staying at a B&B. It was an awesome experience and we will be coming back again and again. Thank you so much to Maurice and Glenn. If you are planning a trip to Savannah you MUST stay at the Park Avenue Manor. The Park Avenue Manor sets the standard for Savannah B&B's. If you aren't staying there, you aren't experiencing everything Savannah has to offer !!
Thanks Again,
Dennis & Dawn Mullins
i like nice hotels with great room service. Maurice and Glenn showed me what I have been missing. Hospitality, generosity and a great sense of wanting to service their cherished guests is your gift when the front door opens. From the warm historic room, delicious breakfast or my favorite, the fresh brownies and sherry that is refilled during the day, you almost don't want to leave Park Avenue Manor as it feels like home. Leave your car keys inside as they are within walking distance of everything this beautiful area has to offer. Not sure where to start? Maurice and Glenn can give you a great place to start and provide you with plenty of ways to occupy your time in Savannah. A beautiful Manor, great service, a warm friendly atmosphere all surrounded in historic beauty. Thank you both for such a wonderful experience
Thankyou seems to understate the outstanding facilities, amenities and hospitality of the owner-operators of Park Avenue Manor. There is so much care provided to guests: the site, the rooms, the listed amenities, the magnificent community breakfast of chef-standard cooking, served at table on fine china, and the many little touches of Southern Hospitality. All of these items are provided at a very reasonable cost, making Park Avenue Manor real value in every way. The friendliness and care for guest comfort shown by Maurice and Glenn guarantee a first-rate stay. The walk along Whitaker Street, across to Bull Street and through lovely squares and fine residences to the river is wonderful. I will be recommending Park Avenue Manor, and Savannah, to my friends all over the world. My wife and I also hope to return one day.
Dr Rod Campbell, Brisbane, Australia. November 2011.
My husband and I stayed at the Park Avenue for 4 nights, and our extended family took the other 4 rooms for 2 nights for a wonderful family celebration. Everyone raved about the graciousness of the hosts, the breakfasts, the impeccably clean rooms, and the comfortable sitting areas. The location is at the edge of beautiful Forsyth Park, within walking distance to town, and within a few blocks of the free Savannah city shuttle. The breakfasts were different every day, but always started with fresh fruit, and our vegetarian family members were also always pleased. And thoe always-available brownies, coffee, tea, and sherry: what a welcome touch for those of us who come home weary from a day of sightseeing!
Glenn and Maurice were accommodating and helpful, with little touches that made our stay memorable. It is obvious that they take great pride in their B & B, and enjoy helping their guests get the most out of their stay in Savannah. They also know a great deal about both the city and the surrounds, and help their guests make arrangements for anything they need. You could not find a better B & B in Savannah!
My original choice of Park Avenue Manor was based upon location, only a block away from the finish line of the Rock 'n' Roll Savannah 1/2 marathon. I was pleasantly surprised to find the room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and 110% better than some cookie-cutter hotel room. The entire B&B was warm, cozy and beautifully decorated. From the moment my wife and I stepped inside the doors we were greeted smiling faces and very nice surprise in the room. Maurice and Glenn had two nicely prepared goody bags for the runners and guests given the weekend we stayed was the inaugural running of the race; they also asked how they could better accommodate future runners better. The goody bags were very thoughtful, quite healthy and very tasty!
Maurice and Glenn were very attentive to our needs and very accommodating even providing a parking spot for each guest room during the busy race weekend! Each morning Maurice and Glenn prepared an excellent breakfast and were very helpful in guiding us on great places to eat while staying there. Everything was within walking distance which was awesome! Price wise, Park Avenue Manor was considerably cheaper, even the largest room, compared to the hotels in historic downtown; to me that is outstanding. If you're coming to Savannah for the marathon weekend then Park Avenue Manor is by far the best place to stay. Right off the finish line area and Forsyth Park (where the post race festivities were held) you can dash back to the room, clean up and be back to the activities in no time. This is my first stay at a B&B and it will certainly won't be the last and I'm so thankful I chose Park Avenue Manor ~ they were wonderful! 5-Star!
On the way south to Florida, I made a last-minute decision to stay overnight in Savannah and thought a B&B would be the antidote to highway motels. I literally lucked into a room at Park Avenue Manor, a sole availability squeezed in between weeks of full occupancy. Much to my delight, I even wound up in the room that appealed most to me: the Robert E. Lee. From the time I was met by the door by Maurice, Park Avenue Manor distilled all that I found--from my short stay--to be the best of what Savannah offers: history, charm, good food, and most of all the friendliness of its residents. When I return to Savannah, I won't leave the availability of a room at Park Avenue Manor to chance; I'll book well in advance.
Two nights at the Park Avenue Manor were not enough! Everything was super, including the hospitality of Maurice and Glen. I definitely plan a return visit.
Having lived In Florida our whole lives, yet never made the 5 hour trek north the Savannah, our first time trip was long overdue. My wife and I did some extensive research on the many B&B's in Savannah and landed on Park Avenue Manor as our choice. And, so glad we did. The courteous pre-visit emails and phone calls as well as the warm welcome upon arrival to a small fire and brownies started the short stay off on the right mood. Great breakfast and company with the other guests and the quaint "Colony Room" was perfect with post bed and claw bathtub. Thanks again Glenn and Maurice for helping make our first trip to Savannah a very memorable one! we will be back. Brenda & Doni-Orlando
Our three nights at the Park Avenue Manor were perfect. Great hosts, accommodations, breakfasts and all. Maurice & Glenn pay great attention to detail right down to the sherry and brownies! Thanks for a perfect get away to Savannah!
Loved the b&b. Glen and Maurice are perfect hosts and the rooms are very cozy. The breakfasts and brownies were outstanding. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Billie & Bill
My husband and I stayed at Park Avenue Manor for our 10 year anniversary and we had a wonderful time. The house was beautiful and our room was cozy and very romantic. Maurice and Glenn were absolutely wonderful. They had great suggestions as to where to dine, what to see, and how to get around town. They made us feel very welcome and treated us like family. The breakfast was delicious, my husband is still talking about Maurice's quiche. We would definitely recommend staying here. It's in a perfect location and close to everything. Michele & James
My wife and I stayed at Park Avenue Manor this past weekend for a combination belated anniversary/my birthday/her birthday celebration. We knew right away that we made the right choice. Maurice and Glenn greeted us warmly. They were well-versed in all the best places to eat, sights to see and things to know to get around town. Our room (The Savannah Room) was cozy and immaculate, as was the rest of the inn. The breakfasts were spectacular and delicious, and we were always made to feel welcome. As we wrote in the guest book, we will definitely return to Savannah and we will definitely stay with Maurie and Glenn when we do.

The table setting was different every morning. They have a very nice outdoor patio to hangout during cool evening as we did during our stay. Maurice and Glenn were both very hospitable and accommodating. If we ever travel to Savannah again, we will definitely stay at Park Avenue Manor. Maurice and Glenn were THE most perfect hosts in the world. I was traveling on my own this trip and didn't know what to expect. Maurice put me at ease the minute he opened the door. My room was clean, comfy and cozy. He gave great recommendations on where to eat and then had a tour company pick me up directly at the house--saving time and energy on my part. The breakfasts were delicious and the brownies and sherry finished the night off perfectly. My room was decorated tastefully as it the whole house. I also spent a bit of time in the backyard patio which was peaceful and provided shade and a cool breeze. I did not see everything that I wanted to see during my stay in Savannah so I will definitely be back to visit. I would recommend Park Avenue Manor to all of my friends and family. If you stay I think that you would enjoy it as much as I did. Fascinating city and splendid accommodations! Susan, Ventura CA

We can’t wait to come back, thank you so very much for making our stay enjoyable and for making us feel so comfortable and welcome. The house is beautiful, the beds comfortable, the food delicious and the company and conversation around the breakfast table delightful, it gave us the feeling of being home.
We stayed here for two nights for a girlfriend getaway and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Glenn and Maurice are very friendly and helped us with our sightseeing needs. The rooms were comfy and cozy and beautifully decorated. Loved the brownies and very tasty breakfasts. I would recommend staying here and will stay here again in the future.
My husband & I stayed Sept 1-5, 2011, 1st trip to Savannah & staying at a B&B. Park Ave Manor is next to Forsyth Park, an excellent location close to Historic area, yet far enough away for peace & quiet. Great customer service BEFORE we got to Savannah. Glenn & Maurice called us to confirm reservation, ask a few questions about likes & dislikes for beverages, even let us know before arrival when they needed to step out so they would be sure not to miss us! We were promptly greeted w/ big smiles, warm handshakes, & felt right at home. They were professional, friendly, & just downright fun to talk w/ every day. We appreciate the hospitality & tips for parking to avoid street cleaners! This B&B is charming & GA Suite was awesome, price not much different for this largest of all the rooms. Rooms furnished w/ neat artifacts of old Savannah & GA; decor tasteful, not overdone. We loved having our own patio entrance & enjoyed quiet time reading & sipping hot chocolate. The bed was so comfortable that if we didn’t want to have breakfast, we would have slept many more hours comfortably! We never had to ask for fresh towels or trash removal, as Maurice & Glenn always were on top of that; their attention to detail not unnoticed. They set aside special hot chocolate mugs just for us (we aren’t big coffee drinkers). Breakfast was impressive. Maurice should come up w/ a Manor cookbook of all his recipes! The table was set each day w/ a new design of china & colors. Good food & conversation w/ other guests around the table was fun, something in which a bustling hotel full of strangers would never partake! Brownies (wonderful!) were always in the foyer to beckon us. Our hosts were courteous, personable, took care of us, pampered us, & called the trolley to pick us up when we wanted to venture out. We sure do miss Glenn & Maurice. Already planning our next trip & will indeed be back to Park Ave Manor many more times over! ~ D & D
What outstanding accomodations, service, location and owners! Maurice and Glenn are awesome at what they do. We had a great time staying there and will be back. We loved the morning breakfast gathering! We had a ball! We will be down with more family members the next time we stay. Ray& Kathy,Ct.

I have travelled many, many placed and this was my first B&B experience, and I can only say that of everything I had ever heard about them, Park Avenue Manor FAR EXCEEDED my expectations...I will be back in Savannah...soon hopefully...and I WILL BE STAYING HERE!!!...I was perfectly located on the beautiful Forsythe Park...there always seems to be something going on in the park. If you've been leary about staying at a B&B...this place will certainly change your mind...Great job Maurice and Glen....you've made me a B&B believer!.
thanks, Randy.
We stayed three nights at the Park Avenue Manor...would of given more stars if I could....Maurice and Glenn are the best....they made us feel so at home..everything you need they have it available...Can not wait to return...
This was our second visit to Savannah, but our first time staying at Park Avenue Manor. From our first phone call to inquire about availability we were impressed with the caring attitudes of the proprietors, Maurice and Glenn. When we arrived, they got us quickly checked and then made sure we got the most out of our one-day stay in their city. Directions, advice, maps and more were provided and within 30 minutes, we were on our way to exploring. Breakfast in the morning was beautifully prepared and presented to all the guests. All in all, we were thrilled and delighted with the Park Avenue Manor.
Eileen and I wanted you both to know how much we enjoyed our recent stay at your Inn. You run a first class establishment that is very comfortable. It is a terrific B&B! We like Savannah and well be back to PARK AVENUE MANOR.

This was my first time staying in a B&B and it was absolutely wonderful. Maurice and Glenn were the most outstanding hosts and made our stay in Savannah even better. The inn was absolutely beautiful with all the antiques around you. I loved the great breakfast every morning on the beautiful china that changed everyday. We are already planning our next stay in Savannah. Keep up the great work Maurice and Glenn and we will see you soon!!!

All I can say is WOW! My friend and I stayed here in March of 2010, during a girls road trip to Florida. We hadn't planned on stopping in Savannah and neither of us had been before. We lucked up on this B&B close to everything we wanted to see. Our hosts were most gracious, food and company was great, decor was outstanding. I'm taking my husband down later this month and so looking forward to it.
This was the first time that I have stayed in a B&B, and it was nothing short of a wonderful experience.
The Park Avenue Manor is the perfect place to stay in beautiful Savannah. It is located near Forsyth Park in the Historic District, which is great for morning exercise, dining, shopping, exploring...
The rooms were quaint and lovely, as well as very clean.
The decor was very charming.
The inn-keepers (Maurice and Glenn) are wonderful hosts. They were quick to make many great recommendations as far as how to spend the time in Savannah (restaurants, attractions, etc.).
The breakfast was absolutely delicious (the menu varied daily) as were the brownies in the parlor...yum!.
Overall, I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone traveling to Savannah.
Wow! What comfort! So very, very clean and bright. You couldn't ask for a better breakfast! Nor, could you ask for better Hosts! Glenn & Maurice make you feel at home and let you "do your thing"!!
Anne & I seek the Bed & Breakfast experiences and have had some good ones. This visit to Savannah and Park Avenue Manor was, by far, the best. We will be back!! Keep your $300.00 a night rooms, we have found Savannah's best kept secret.
Our stay at Park Avenue Manor was Fantastic, from the beautiful decor, great breakfast, superb hospitality, thanks for such a wonderful time.

My wife and I stayed 4 nights in the Ellen Kelly room. Everything is first rate! A Beautiful room and a large, spotless bathroom. If you can find a better breakfast in Savannah, I challenge you to find it. Brownies and sherry are a bonus. When we decided to spend a day on Tybee Island, Maurice provided beach towels. When we return to Savannah, (and we will!), we will only stay at Park Avenue Manor!

Maurice and Glenn made our stay at Park Avenue Manor our best bed and breakfast experience ever. The Ellen Kelly room was absolutely gorgeous and extremely clean and comfortable. We enjoyed meeting the other guests each morning over a lovely homemade breakfast. The banana pecan streusel French toast was fabulous! The sherry and brownies provided in the parlors added a special touch. Maurice and Glenn made excellent recommendations for restaurants and activities for us to enjoy on our first visit to Savannah. All of their suggestions exceeded our expectations. We will come back to Park Avenue Manor soon!
We had a wonderful visit in Savannah and our stay at Park Avenue Manor was the main reason. We have already recommended to others. The Decor was beautiful and Glenn and Maurice were the Best Hosts. We hope to be back soon. Thank you so much~ Rob & Carol
We were excited to arrive after driving through several heavy rain storms. The innkeepers, Maurice and Glenn, were always willing to help and full of information. The Georgia Suite was perfect for us. Plenty of room and the bed was wonderful. The breakfast was delious and filling enough to allow for long walks and lite lunches. Even though it was hot I loved Savannah. It is so full of history I'm looking forward to a return trip and do hope that there are rooms available at the Manor! Especially the Georgia Suite!

Glenn and Maurice offer a very personal level of service at Park Avenue Manor. They are concerned and attentive about every detail, in the guest rooms, at the breakfast table and in making arrangements for tours, recommending restaurants, etc. They take the time to get to know their guests, and are proactive in every regard. In addition to this, the decor of the parlors, dining room, veranda and guest rooms is detailed and lovely. They anticipate their guests' needs and provide accordingly. I would recommend Park Avenue Manor without hesitation.

Park Avenue Manor proved to be the absolute perfect place for our entire family to gather for the occasion of my niece's graduation from SCAD. We had 3 generations represented, and basically took over the Manor for the weekend, filling every room and the whole breakfast table. Glenn and Maurice could not have been more accommodating, from the brownies every day that adults and teenagers alike devoured, to the use of the frig upstairs for our wine and our leftovers, and the parlors where the grandparents could relax between events. There is no hotel experience that could ever compare to "living" in this beautiful home with the perfect hosts - I would never stay anywhere else in Savannah!
We just returned from our first visit to Savannah and the Park Avenue Manor, hopefully it will not be our last. We loved Savannah and all it has to offer. Park Avenue Manor was a highlight to our stay. Southern hospitality and comfort at it's best. Maurice and Glenn were wonderful hosts and made us feel right at home. Steve loved the sherry at night, and I loved the brownies! The Robert E Lee room was comfortable and clean, the bed was very comfy after a long day of site seeing and cycling around the beautiful streets and squares. We will definitely return. Maureen and Steve
This was our first visit to Savannah and our stay with Maurice and Glen helped make our visit as wonderful as we hoped it would be. The rooms were very comfortable and conveniently arranged, the location on Forsyth Park was perfect for sightseeing, and Maurice and Glen were great hosts. Breakfast was different each day and always delicious (especially the biscuits). Would love to come again and will definitely recommend the Park Avenue Manor to our friends.
We stayed at Park Manor for St. Paddy's Day weekend, and had a fabulous time! Glen and Maurice were warm and friendly hosts! Their hospitality was top notch! and the accommodations were beyond comfortable! We felt like we were staying at the house of close friends, not at a b&b. If only our friends were that nice! This is THE PLACE TO STAY in Savannah! Can't wait for our next trip!

This was our first visit to Savannah......what a wonderful way to start our trip, staying at your beautiful inn! Our room was lovely......your breakfasts amazing with different china and linens each day! You made us feel so welcome and at home.......THANK YOU!!!!
We wish we could have stayed longer. The house is so welcoming and comfortable. We immediately felt right at home. The accommodations were fantastic, I had the best night's sleep and wished that I would have had a little more time so I could have had a nice long soak in the claw foot tub. Maurice and Glenn were fabulous hosts and did a great job with restaurant recommendations. We will certainly return someday with our grandaughter
Stayed in the Robert E. Lee room. It and all of the others are beautiful. The hospitality was fabulous. Site and restaurant recommendations were perfect. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. Don't stay anywhere else!!!
For the second time we had the privilege of staying with Maurice and Glenn at the Park Avenue Manor and we are already looking forward to returning again. Maurice and Glenn are the perfect hosts and the B&B is very charming and romantic. I can't imagine staying in a better place in Savannah, also the location is very convenient.

If all of Savannah were a baseball stadium then staying at the Park Avenue Manor is like watching the game from behind home plate. My wife and I had a wonderful time there and we absolutely felt at home in this wonderful B&B. We were there for 4 days and were able to walk to wherever we wanted: SCAD, Telfair museums, Owens-Thomas house. Crystal Beer Garden, Firefly restaurant. Upon our return there was always Sherry and Brownies waiting for us in the parlor. The courtyard is a sequestered gem. A nice area to end the evening over a glass of wine.
During our visit, there was a concert across the street by the Lt. Dan Band featuring none other then Gary Sinise, which was a wonderful coincidence considering that Savannah was the backdrop for Forest Gump.
Maurice and Glen were wonderful hosts. Breakfast was fulfilling (walnut crusted French toast... yummy ) and they accommodated to my vegetarian diet. The conversation was always lively with the other guests who were like our rotating "family" during our stay.
Wi-Fi service was excellent. Our room was well laid out and comfortable. A totally classy place to stay.
A definite Grand Slam!!! We'll be back...
Lovely introduction to staying at a B&B and to the city of Savannah
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Park Avenue Manor during the Easter long-weekend. We had never stayed at a B&B before and are so happy that we decided to - it just seems like the right thing to do while in the old city of Savannah, GA.
Glenn and Maurice are wonderful hosts with impeccable taste in decorating -they really stayed true to the historic city while incorporating moder amenities. Their cooking is fabulous - both breakfasts were delicious and satisfying and there is always a tray of the most amazing chocolate brownies in the front parlor.
We felt very comfortable to use all areas of the B&B, including the parlors, dining room, and back patio. Our room was spacious, so if you prefer privacy there is plenty of room for that.
Glenn and Maurice are able to provide a lot of tourist information and recommendations on things to do in the city. Some things to note - there is free wireless internet, a complimentary phone in the front room (none in the bedrooms), small TVs in the room with plenty of channels, hair dryer in bathroom, shampoo (but no conditioner), mini fridge shared upstairs by 4 rooms which contains complimentary drinks and space for you to keep a small amount of your own items.
When we have the chance, we will be back to stay and have already begun recommending the Park Avenue Manor to friends and family.
Thank you Glenn and Maurice!!!
Our stay in Savannah was enhanced by our stay at the Park Avenue Manor. Maurice and Glenn left nothing to chance whether it was tours, dining or transportation.
The Robert E. Lee bed and bath were well appointed and comfortable for our needs.
We highly recommend their bed and breakfast.
Our hosts made sure that we had everything we needed. And at the same time gave us peace and privacy. We met other interesting guests at the fun family style breakfast and morning tea & coffee. The rooms and house are beautifully historic.
We have visited many B&Bs and rate this the most welcoming and cordial. Maurice and Glen go out of their way to see that your trip to Savannah is memorable. Good parking and most attractions are within walking distance or a shuttle will pick you up at the front door. Plan to stay here again on our next visit.
We loved the location, the innkeepers, the hospitality. And the brownies. All the recommendations of navigating the city were perfect for us. Great ideas and good references. Colorful bedroom. Highly recommend - don't even look any further.
We had a lovely time at the Park Ave. Manor. the room was very comfortable and decorated in a charming and interesting manner. Breakfast was delicious and fresh. The hosts made everything a unique experience and were super helpful in suggesting restaurants and places to visit. We will definitely come back to stay.
We had the best time in Savannah and were treated so well at Park Avenue Manor. The whole place was just spectacular -- rooms were very comfortable even for three people. The breakfast was excellent. Wish we could've stayed longer. Maurice and Glenn were the best hosts and gave us great advice on what to see around Savannah. They took great care of us and were a lot of fun besides. Cannot recommend this place enough!
Gracious and welcoming...those are the two words that I feel best describe my stay at Park Avenue Manor. Having only had the B&B experience one prior time, I believe Maurice and Glenn have set a high standard. I appreciate their genuiness and hospitality, creating a home away from home, and plan on future stays at the Manor.

It was our first time in Savannah and choosing a place to stay was pretty much a shot in the dark. What a lucky shot. We were extremely pleased with Park Avenue Manor. The location was great right next to Forsyth Park and everything is easily accessible from there. The common areas felt very homey and our room was very comfortable as well. Breakfasts were a real treat with wonderful food and very lively chatter among the guests. Glenn and Maurice are doing it right, you won't be disappointed. Jeff's from Pennsylvania
From the first emails, Maurice and Glenn created a welcoming atmosphere. They are always ready to answer questions and give advice or recommendations. They take a real interest in ensuring the entire trip, not just the stay at the inn, is a good one.
For the few days I stayed in Savannah, returning to the Manor felt like returning home.
I visited Savannah for the first time in early Jan. 2011 and stayed at the Park Avenue Manor. I have visited quite a few B&Bs over the years and I have to say that Glenn and Maurice were the most gracious hosts that I have encountered. My stay at the inn and the hospitality of the innkeepers really made for a wonderful experience.
The purpose of the trip was to escape the snow in NE Ohio for a little while and enjoy some R&R. The inn certainly allowed me to do that. I stayed in the Robert E Lee room and it was very comfortable. The breakfasts prepared by Glenn and Maurice were delicious and brownies and sherry are always available in the common rooms.
The inn is within easy walking distance of many of the historic district attractions and on the trolley route. Parking can be a bit tricky at certain times/days but wasn't really a problem. My only caution is that the streetcleaner that goes by once in awhile in the middle of the night is pretty loud. If you stay in one of the rooms in the back of the house, it probably isn't an issue.
I would, and have, recommend this inn. Great place to stay.
We loved our stay with Glenn & Maurice at the Park Avenue during St. Patrick's day week. We also stayed at some of the other more "well-known" b&b's in Savannah on this trip (Park Avenue was full!), but none compare to the personal hospitality we experienced here.
Every little thing down was "just right" to the tiniest detail. Our room was heavenly, so clean and stocked with anything we could possibly need!
The breakfast table is set so elegantly and our waffles, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, coffee, etc. were fresh, hot and delicious. The setting is so romantic and we felt pampered at every turn!
I wasn't sure about the location when we booked, but it turned out to be just kiddy corner from Forsythe Park. We walked to River Street and all of the restaurants and shopping.
On our next trip to Savannah...this is the only place we'll stay.
(Thank you Glenn & Maurice for your gracious hospitality!!)

Our group of three had a wonderful stay with Maurice and Glenn. They are the perfect hosts and we consider them as our new friends. The Park Avenue Manor takes you back to another era. It is beautiful inside and the accommodations are great. We are looking forward to returning ti Savannah and will stay at the Manor again. Highly recommend! Oh My Gosh, Lots of Laughs, What a Blast.....
Breakfast was great, the rooms were charming, clean, comfortable. The hosts were so friendly and helpful. The price was great and the location made all of the historic district walkable. I'd recommend Maurice and Glenn's place to anyone.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Maurice and Glenn are the perfect innkeepers. Beautiful room, excellent location. Wonderful breakfast. A bonus --the sherry and the delicious brownies.
Will definitely stay there again.

I spent 3 nights at the Park Manor and hated to leave this lovely Victorian Bed & Breakfast. Our room was very clean and nicely decorated. The breakfasts were delicious and quite substantial. Maurice and Glenn were great hosts and a wonderful source of information regarding the Savannah restaurants. I must mention the delicious brownies which were available all day long.
Maurice and Glenn went out of their way to make our Savannah visit relaxing and enjoyable. The room was wonderful and the breakfasts were a great way to start the day! Can't wait to come back and stay at Park Avenue Manor again!!
My husband and I just stayed at the Park Ave Manor and had the most wonderful experience. Maurice and Glenn are jems. The room was clean and comfortable. We had no compliants. The B&B was close to everything, and Maurice and Glenn was very helpful in giving us directions and suggestions. We are from Kissimmee Fl and so really did not know the area, but with Glenn and Maurice help we did not get loss or went the wrong way (lots of one way street in Savannah).
Every day we had a different menu and different place setting. We were there for 5 nights, and by the time we left, I felt like they were my family. It was really hard for us to leave there. My husband and I did not want to leave.
Savannah in it self is beautiful, added with the wonderful experience we had, we will be back in Jan, 2012 ;-) And yes, we will stay at the Park Ave Manor. It is the only place I would stay whenever we are in Savannah. And yes this was my first trip to Savannah, and No it was not the first bed and breakfast I ever stayed in. But it was the best service I ever received at a B&B!!!
I would highly recommened this place. The price is reasonable too.
Maurice and Glenn, Thanks for everything!!!

This was my husband's first B&B and it was a fantastic choice for us. The home is better than the pictures and the hosts are very gracious. Not only were the breakfasts superb, but there was Sherry and delicious homemade brownies set out for anytime enjoying. The hosts also were readily available for dinner suggestions, directions if needed and they provided a discount coupon for the sight-seeing tour. We will go back again.

Our visit to Savannah from 13-19 Feb was complete with our stay at Maurice and Glenn's "Park Avenue Manor" where they treated us with amazing southern hospitality and charm. We were welcomed with an invitation to unending homemade brownies [world's best, I declare!] and sherry -- nice touch! Maurice showed us our delightful room, complete with a small library of books on local topics, in case you might want to brush up on facts and lore to make your stay more meaningful. As for the Colony Room where we stayed, it was delightfully decorated [with what we affectionately called the "Post-It Note" Quilts!] and so very comfortable. The attached restroom was very clean, nicely appointed and we were impressed with the cotton swabs, cotton balls and other niceties for our use. Hot water in the shower was readily available, something in older homes you might have to wait a bit for prior to the morning shower! Now, let me tell you about Maurice's breakfasts: FANTASTIC! Fresh fruit compote followed by freshly made waffles, quiche or french toast were three of the selections we had while there. Glenn and Maurice were and are two of the kindest gentlemen, attune to one's needs -- and a wealth of local information on what local things to do [if you arrived in Savannah, as we did, with no plan for six days!] in addition to recommendations on where to eat meals in between excursions! Park Avenue Manor is highly recommended for that unforgettable "Savannah Stay"; it is adjacent to Forsythe Park and very close to that wonderland called Historic Savannah. Like us, you'll be glad you stayed and long to return...
My wife and I enjoyed a very pleasant evening at the Park Avenue Manor in Savannah. Our hosts, Glenn and Maurice, were warm and very hospitable. They are also fantastic cooks as the breakfast the next morning was delicious! Located within walking distance from downtown, we were able to enjoy historic Savannah while also enjoying the delightful ambience of this neat Inn! The sitting area in the front parlors was a great location to crack open a book or enjoy a good conversation. Overall, we found our stay to be more than memorable and we hope to come back soon and see Glenn and Maurice!
p.s. be sure to try one of their delectable bite-sized brownies; they're the best!
A wonderful experience at this B & B. Actually the best part of Savannah was the time spent in this house. The owners were cordial, friendly, and always with a smile. The house is beyond spotless. The rooms were spacious, and decor lovely. We will be telling everyone we know about Park Avenue Manor and I am certain we will be back. It is a great stopping place on our way to winter home in Florida. John & Theresa Cuyahoga Falls Ohio
Maurice and Glenn provided us with one of the best experiences we've ever had at a bed & breakfast. We typically stay at bed & breakfasts when we travel, so we've had a number of places with which to compare. We were made to feel very special. Breakfasts were varied, plentiful and with excellent taste. Maurice & Glenn were exemplary as hosts, treating us as though we were treasured family members. Despite the uncooperative weather while there, we had a marvelous stay in Savannah, due almost exclusively to the efforts of our hosts. If ever in the area, this would be the place we would choose to stay again and again and again! Thank you very much, Maurice & Glenn.
This colorful duplex is run with great expertise by guys who know what they are doing. Maurice is friendly and helpful but not pushy. At under $100 per night, this place is a steal! The decor is eclectic but stylish. The brownies and sherry, in abundance 24/7, are wonderful. But we thought the scrambled eggs for breakfast were only so-so. The location is great, within the historic district and close to beautiful mansions and parks draped in Spanish moss.
Everything at Park Avenue Manor is outstanding! The accomodations are comfortable and spotlessly clean. The decor is beautiful. Many interesting items to read and enjoy. The breakfast is delicious. The brownies and sherry are out of this world. Maurice and Glenn are magnificent hosts and always ready to help with anything you need. They made our stay in Savannah unforgettable!
This was our second visit to Savannah and what a perfect place to stay. The Innkeepers,
Maurice and Glenn, were the most charming and efficient proprietors we have experienced
anywhere. Breakfast was delicious and served with great attention to detail. A welcoming
fire in the fireplace welcomed us "home" after a day of sightseeing. My husband always
helped himself to brownies, always available off the parlor, along with sherry. A stone's
throw from Forsythe Park, and while a good walk to the Riverside, strolling thru the
squares makes is a pleasant walk.
We would recommend this inn to anyone, and actually, we already have! Enjoy!
Thanks so much for all of the wonderful Southern Savannah Charm and hospitality Maurice & Glenn. We had an amazing visit and you were such delightful & gracious hosts. We loved every minute spent under your roof! Very romantic.
Park Avenue Manor is truely a treasure in the Savannah Historic District. Owners Glen and Maurice are gracious, courteous hosts, who make you feel welcome and at home in their comfortable Victorian B&B. The rooms are bright, cozy, and nicely appointed; a throw-back in time, making you appreciate the historical feel of visiting Savannah. The full hot breakfasts were elegantly served and gave guests a chance to meet each other and share travel experiences and points of interest. The owners helped with restaurant reservations, shuttle service, and information on local attractions. Complimentary coffee, tea, softdrinks, bottled water, sherry, and brownies speaks volumes about the hospitality that awaits the guests of Glen and Maurice at Park Avenue Manor. We will definitely return in the future and recommend that anyone looking for the ideal place to stay and experience Historic Savannnah, look no further than this B&B. In addition, everything worth seeing in Savannah is within walking distance of this beautifully decorated and furnished Victorian Manor.
My sister and I plan a trip every year to a warm part of the US.... I from British Columbia and she from Oregon.... we always seem to be able to travel over Halloween week so picked Savannah in October.... first we pick the B&B and then book the airline!! we really research and this B&B was an excellent find... Maurice and Glenn were friendly, gracious hosts, cooks, and trip advisors... the Ellen Kelly room was quiet, brownies and sherry each night appreciated and we loved walking through all the squares to the different areas of Savannah. Thanks again for making our stay so perfect and, of course, we'll come back and stay with you again! Bonnie and Ellen
This B & B is a real gem. It is a charming Victorian home. The home and rooms are extremely clean and more comfortable than my own house. The innkeepers are the most gracious and wonderful people you ever would want to meet. It is in walking distance to everything you want to see in town and to all of the fine restaurants and pubs. The home cooked hot breakfast is always great, much better than a continental breakfast. The courtyard is private and very relaxing.I think anyone would make a mistake to stay anywhere else while in Savannah! This is a 5 star B & B. Rooms are beautiful and the innkeepers, Glenn and Maurice make you feel like it is your home. I can't say enough great things about the place and the innkeepers. I would stay here again and recommend you do the same.
This was our 5th stay at Park Avenue Manor and our first visit since Maurice and Glenn took over the business. Without hesitation I can state that it remains our FAVORITE B&B of the many that we have stayed in over the past 20 years. Our youngest son met us in Savannah for the weekend and this was only his second B&B experience but it was enjoyable enough that he booked a room the following weekend when his girlfriend was visiting and they did, again, partake of this cozy home and gracious hosts. We have stayed in each of the 4 rooms and returned to our orignal room on this visit and it remains our favorite. We love to relax in the cozy sitting room with an inviting fire, a good book and fresh brownies, washed down by a lovely sherry. The Park Avenue Manor sets the standard for what we expect in a B&B and Maurice and Glenn have made it there own while maintaining the charm and coziness that kept us coming back when Murray and Cathy were the owners. Breakfast is one of the highlights of our stay and on EVERY visit we have enjoyed the company of friendly and engaging guests as we sit around a large breakfast table and contine to converse and laugh long after breakfast plates have been cleared. What a great way to start the day in one of the most historic and beautiful cities in the world. We consider The Park Avenue Manor to be our "home" in Savannah and are pleased to add Maurice and Glenn to our family there. We will be back....again....and again.
Steve and Peg Allerding
While planning a surprise weekend trip to Savannah for my wife's birthday, I could not ignore the value of staying here. From the website I learned that the location was perfect, the reviews were great, they had B&B.com awards for "best innkeeper in the entire US", the rates were great, and they offered a military discount.
Beyond the website and after our stay, Maurice and Glenn surpassed my expectations in many areas. Considering the price of B&B's in the historic district, staying on the edge of Forsyth Park was perfect. You could get anywhere in Savannah in a 5 minute car ride. The house was beautiful inside (much nicer in person than in the photos); it was obvious that each decorative item, piece of furniture, wall and trim color, and fixture was carefully placed to create a cozy yet elegant atmosphere. We stayed in the Ellen Kelly room, the bed was very comfy, it had a nice bathroom with a bear-claw tub, both the room and bathroom were VERY clean, and there was ample closet space to stow luggage. The front area of the first floor had adjacent den's equipped with a fireplace, cozy furniture, and plenty of reading material (be it on the walls or in a book). Breakfast in the dining room gave us an opportunity to socialize with the guests and innkeepers at a single dining room table, something I personally enjoyed! Although it was a bit cold while we were here; the privacy of the patio, its fountains and furniture offered a dose of fresh air and tranquility. The Innkeepers were both very hospitable; helping us numerous times with finding our way around Savannah, recommendations, and simply making sure that we enjoyed our stay.
I highly recommend this B&B because by the time our weekend was over, we were rested, well-fed, pampered, and completely refreshed by the whole experience. We will definitely be back!
This was our first trip to Savannah and loved it! We stayed at this B&B for two nights. We discovered this B&B on Bed & Breakfast.com and were so pleased to see all of the positive reviews on trip advisor. Well worth the price! Would definately recommend to anyone considering a trip to Savannah!
This was our first trip to Savannah, and it could not have been better. The Manor is located on a pretty street at the southern end of Forsythe Park. We found it to be a great location for walking up to the river and around the squares, and to restaurants & shops. Our room- the Ellen Kelly- was wonderful. It was so comfortable and felt like home while we were there. The rooms are immaculately clean. The innkeepers, Maurice and Glenn, are so welcoming and willing to help out with recommendations, directions, etc. The breakfasts are delicious and so filling that we did not need lunch most days. We had a great time talking with the other guests and Maurice at the breakfast table each morning. One nice touch was a different table setting each day we were there. Coffee, hot chocolate, and tea are available all day. Water and soft drinks are available at no charge in a fridge in the upstairs hallway. Brownies and sherry are available as well- the brownies are so good! This B&B is really an incredible value compares to others in Savannah. Thank you Maurice and Glenn- we hope to be back sometime soon!
Maurice and Glenn are excellent hosts..loved excellent food and different china every morning for breakfast, hallway fridge for complimentary water bottles and storage for my champagne, Maurice calling for shuttle pick up at front door for city tour, restaurant menus and suggestions, feeling of being safe at home, great room decor, parlor snacks, proximity to everything!

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Park Avenue Bed & Breakfast while in Savannah for three nights. Maurice and Glen were gracious hosts who went out of their way to make us feel welcome throughout our stay, Their advice and assistance helped us to truly enjoy this picturesque and charming city. The generous touch of "southern hospitality", not to mention the outstanding accomodations, made our time in Savannah a valued memory. We would certainly recommend this B&B to any prospective visitor.
Once again we had a great time at the Park Avenue Manor! The hosts are welcoming, informed, have a great sense of humor, and make certain you know they are going to take care of you while there. We had an enjoyable and tasty breakfast each morning and delightful conversation with other guests. During the time when you are not out enjoying Savannah, their home becomes your home and is a comfortable and attractive place to lounge during and/or after a busy day. They make checking in, staying and checking out easy and carefree. If you need directions or assistance, they will exhaust their resources making sure you are knowledgeable and feel comfortable you can get there and back from the Manor. We'll be going back for our third visit next spring and already look forward to staying at the Manor and visiting with the Manor's hosts again. We recommend it as a great place to stay in Savannah. It is close enough to walk to downtown and you can get there by going down Bull Street through numerous beautiful parks and past historic homes. For us, it is a keeper and the way to go! Bryar & C.J.

My wife, college freshman son and I stayed at the Park Avenue Manor September 9th and 10th, 2010. We found this B&B by searching the internet. The reviews from previous guests were excellent and the Inn suggested great value. We stayed at the Inn while we enrolled our son into SCAD. Our stay there was wonderful. We totally agree with all the great reviews that have been posted previously. Maurice and Glen are perfect hosts and could not be more accommodating and helpful. Just tell them what you would like to do for the day and they make suggestions how to make your day special. The rooms are tastefully decorated and you had a sense you had gone back in time. The breakfast every morning was delicious. The Inn is located right next to Forsyth Park which is a must see. I highly recommend this Inn and we plan to return in the future.

This trip to Savannah, Ga was a first for both my husband and myself. It was also our first experience in a bed and breakfast and it was everything we had hoped and more. When we first arrived, we were greeted by Maurice who showed us around the manor and then to our room. The house was gorgeous, and the small touches Maurice and Glen added made it absolutely perfect. We stayed in the Ellen Kelly room and we absolutely loved it. It was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast is another story in itself. The guys really outdid themselves while we were there. Every morning we had something different, there was plenty of coffee and juice. My husband and I also enjoyed the courtyard in the back. I really have nothing but great things to say about this place and the guys. We will definitely be staying here again, and we are looking very forward to it. Maurice and Glen and their beautiful Bed and Breakfast are truly the epitome of southern charm and hospitality.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at this charming home. We were warmly welcomed by Maurice and he was most helpful in giving us maps, and recommendations for lunch and dinner, even making reservations for us. We stayed in the Robert E. Lee room which was nicely decorated and very comfortable. Breakfasts were good and the brownies and sherry in the parlor were a delicious treat.
The breakfast was very delicious. The Park Avenue Manor was a wonderful clean place to stay. It exceeded my expectations. The owners were very nice and very very helpful when planning your day. Also the Park Avenue Manor was very close to attractions and restaurants in the historic district.
Although we only got to spend on night, it was wonderful. This was our first time at a bed and breakfast and I can't say enough. This is a first class opertation. We will be back. Thanks Debbie & Ben, Port Charlotte, Fl
My husband, daughter, son-in-law and I just returned from a three night stay in Savannah and the beautiful Park Av. Manor. I have stayed at numerous B & B's and loved each one, however, Maurice and Glenn are two of the best host I have ever had. The breakfast will carry you through the day, honestly it is all you could want, and the brownies and sherry never ran out. The house is wonderful and in the perfect location, not to close to be crowded but close enought to get a good walk from all the breakfast. Maurice and Glenn will make sure you have everything you need including their cell number. It was my daughters first B & B and now she can't wait for the next trip. Thanks guys !. It was a great week.
I chose The Park Avenue Manor based on the reviews from this website and trip adviser.com. I had never stayed at a bed and breakfast so I had no previous experience to judge against, but I have stayed at all levels of hotels. Maurice and Glenn are amazing hosts who go out of their way to treat you, not as a customer but as family. Actually, BETTER then family!
The rooms were beautifully decorated, and each had it's own bathroom. Guests are offered full access to the amenities of the B&B including brownies, sherry, hot chocolate or coffee day or night. Breakfast is served promptly at 8:30 am and what a joy to sit and talk with people from all over the world. I was concerned about what a "forced" social situation would be like, but I was pleasantly surprised with how easy it was to talk to others and exchange vacation stories and gain suggestions for what to do while in Savannah. Even though I was traveling alone, I never felt alone.
I was genuinely sad to leave but I know I will be back to pick up touring all the wonderful homes and restaurants I couldn't get to on this trip!
Wonderful experience. The house was beautiful, Glenn and Maurice were great host. We enjoyed everything about our stay.
The location was great, right across from the park and easy access to any of the historical sites as well as River Street and Tybee Island.
I had the opportunity to spend nearly a week at Park Avenue in July 2010. It far exceeded my stays in other B&Bs. I loved the Robert E Lee room! This Victorian house is charmer in all aspects. The pictures are truly accurate. The rooms are colorful and tastefully decorated. Glenn & Maurice are proud of their hard work here and it shows. They are the consumate innkeepers who are fans of Savannah history, wonderful cooks, great tour guides and will become your new family in Savannah! Keep up the good work guys! I'll definitely be back!
What a wonderful time we had on our first visit to Savannah and our stay at Park Ave was a huge part of the experience. Location gave us the opportunity to walk and see all of the Historic district. It was the cleanest B & B we have ever been in. The Value is the outstanding! We ate a delicious breakfast with guests from all over the country. It fulfilled all of the reasons we stay at Bed and Breakfast above and beyond. Thank you for a great experience!

We spent our 8th anniversary in Savannah, a city we've been trying to get to forever. We decided on a bed and breakfast, with all the feeling of old Savannah....and we found it at the Park Avenue Manor. Maurice and Glenn were the pefect hosts, breakfast to die for, and brownies and sherry in the afternoon...what a life! The inn is perfect if you're looking for charm and ambiance that the city has to offer, and our hosts most helpful in leading us to great tours and restaurants...you can not make a better choice than this B&B...thank you so much.
Our recent trip to Savannah was greatly enhanced by our stay at the Park Avenue Manor. Staying in a historic Victorian mansion allowed us to experience some of the flavor of the old south. We were in the Savannah room and could not have been more pleased. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable and the breakfasts were out of this world. Maurice and Glenn quickly made us feel at home. They recommended tours and day trips for us that did not disappoint. I happily recommend their establishment to others. Ann & Jeff - Rochester, NY
Our recent stay at the Park Avenue Manor B&B opened our eyes to the wonderful City of Savannah. The location of this bed and breakfast on the edge of Forsyth Park makes it a great area to start exploring the City. Maurice and Glenn are inkeepers who truly make you feel like you are welcome in their home. The rooms are comfortable and nicely furnished. The daily breakfast is varied and always a treat. This coupled with Maurice and Glenn's willingness to provide their guests with any special accommodations as well as their outstanding recommendations for activities in the City made our visit a pleasure. We'll be sure to be back on our next trip to Savannah!

This was our first visit to Savannah and our first experience with a B&B. Maurice and Glenn welcomed us into their home and it didn't take us very long to feel at home. They are terrific hosts and were very helpful with suggestions about tours and dinner reservations.Park Avenue Manor has the look and feel of a Savannah home and we really liked its location near Forsyth Park. When we left, Maurice and Glenn were at the front door waving goodbye to us. It was like leaving your family. We would definitely go back.
We spent three nights at the B&B and had a wonderful time. Maurice and Glen were great and considerate hosts (their first question when we made reservations was to find out if any of us had food restrictions). If you like Victorian inns, this is the place (we even had three different place settings for breakfast) as the entire B&B is filled with Victorian charm and furnishings (and check out all of the antique kaleidoscopes). Further, the rooms were delightful, the garden very pleasant, and the breakfasts were delicious and filling and each one was different. Maurice and Glen clearly love running a B&B from providing wonderful meals and rooms to making sure that everyone's stay was as enjoyable as possible. We would highly recommend it.
My Husband and I LOVE old architecture so we were THRILLED with the beautiful Park Avenue Manor. It is tastefully decorated and the bones of the house are beautiful. We stayed 5 nights with Maurice and Glenn. Every morning Maurice had a different color scheme for his breakfast table and a different breakfast. All 6 breakfasts we had were awesome. Their location is perfect also! Far enough from downtown to be quiet but close enough to walk. We highly recommend staying with Maurice and Glenn. If we ever get back to Savannah, we will.

My wife and I had the pleasure of enjoying the hospitality of the Park Avenue Manor recently. Our stay was comfortable and very welcoming. Maurice and Glenn were wonderful hosts and saw to that we would be able enjoy Savannah. The room was very comfortable with pleanty of closet space. The bathroom was large and all around very clean. Location was excellent. We were able to walk around all the squares and to the waterfront fairly easily. The breakfasts were amazing!
This was the first time my husband and I have ever visited Savannah. We chose Savannah and Park Avenue Manor to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We were not disappointed. Glen and Maurice were wonderful hosts'.We were greeted at the door by Maurice and given the grand tour of the home. We were very pleased with our room (The Colony Room). It was comfortable and was everything I expected. The sitting rooms were comfortable and inviting and the brownies were wonderful. Breakfast was the complete dining experience and the food delicious. This was much more than just a place to stay, it felt so like home that we called it "home" at the end of the day. We will definitely return to visit.

Maurice and Glenn were great hosts. I misplaced my keys, Maurice drove us to our dinner reservation and then searched until he found the keys. Inn was immaculate, our bed was comfortable, breakfast had a nice southern touch.
Thanks to Maurice & Glenn our girls spring break was a great get-away. Felt like we were visiting someone's home not a hotel room. We even forgot to close our room door when all the other guests were out. Location to Forsythe Park & the historical homes was a great asset to getting around town. Wonderful breakfast got us going for touring, shopping, & beaching at Tybee Island. Savannah is one of my all time fave places to visit and love your southern charm. Definitely will be back!
This was my first trip to Savannah and my first stay in a B&B. I will be back! Savannah is full of personality and the Park Ave Manor is the place to stay. We slept in the Colony room. Plenty of space & the bed was very comfortable. Maurice & Glenn were excellent hosts. They gladly answered questions, gave directions and suggestions on things to do. The breakfast was delicious and filling along with enjoyable conversation. The sherry and brownies were a great topper for the evenings.
My wife and I spent our 1st Wedding Anniversary in Savannah and used the lovely Park Avenue Manor as our place of rest and relaxation. Glenn and Maurice were excellent host and made out stay relaxing and like we were in our own home. We stayed in the Colonial Room which features a claw foot tub with shower and a comfy queen bed. We both slept like babies during our stay and would highly recommend staying at Park Avenue Manor in the future. Breakfast was wonderful each morning and plentiful with conversation with others who were staying in the house. Park Avenue Manor is about a mile from River Street but very easy to get to with a straight shot to downtown. Free parking out front was plentiful. We both hope to see Glenn and Maurice again in the future.
We cannot say enough good things about our first visit to a B & B! Glenn and Maurice were the most wonderful hosts. They were so warm and welcoming, we thought we had known them forever! The room was cozy and exceptionally clean, the breakfasts were delicious. We highly recommend staying with them if you ever visit the wonderful city of Savannah.
I took my wife to Savannah for her birthday. This was our first B&B and was not disappointed. Maurice and Glenn was the perfect host. Glen handled all the details by phone and is the wizard behind the curtain. While Maurice entertains, Glenn is busy at work making the house run smoothly. Maurice will help you book a tour and provides discount coupons. Together they make you feel at home but are not intruding.
We were running late, they even called to check on us. When we arrived, Maurice greeted us at the door, gave us a grand tour, and allowed us to settle in own our own. They just renovated the bathroom to the Ellen Kelly, beautifully redone. The parlor made me want to curl up with a good book. Maurice has equipped the parlor with menus, maps, and other tourist information. I had a nice respite in the rear garden which has a great Wi-Fi signal. The dining room setting was refined yet welcoming enough to feel like grandmother's dinner table. Based on the upscale place settings I was expecting small portions, but it was a real breakfast and you certainly did not leave hungry. The Manor has brownies and sherry available at all times which provides a nice snack. They surprised my wife with a small birthday cake which tasted out of this world.
Free parking was easily accessible on the curb. Since the Manor is next to Forsyth Park, it was well patrolled by the police and we felt safe in the neighborhood.
The only thing you need to know about this B&B is it is about a mile walk to River Street. Tour buses will pick you up in front of the house or you can walk 8-10 blocks and get on a free bus through downtown. If you don't mind walking, it is an easy 15 minute walk to the river. My best suggestion given traffic congestion, cost of parking, and size of downtown is to bring your bicycle and enjoy the city without a vehicle.
I felt as though I had come across some long lost relatives. The moment we walked into the house we were greeted with a huge welcome and almost as though we had known Maurice and Glenn for years instead of the five minutes it truly was! We were treated with the best southern hospitality I have ever witnessed. The house was as warm and friendly as the hosts. Every morning for breakfast was a beautiful suprise as the linens and dishes were different each day. Our room was homey and comfortable. I think I had just as much fun talking with Maurice and Glenn as I did walking around Savannah!! Great place to stay and felt very safe walking the area at night. A very clean neighborhood. I think I'll be back!!! :)
Our 5-night stay at Park Avenue Manor was most enjoyable in every way. Maurice and Glen started off each morning with a sumptuous breakfast graciously served in the company of interesting guests. Their knowledge of the richness of the neighborhood, of Savannah, and of the surrounding area
helped us to enjoy fully our stay and experience of the uniqueness which is Savannah. Thank you, Maurice and Glen. Richard and Betty Adams
Mo and Glenn are awesome hosts. They are excellent cooks and keep everything clean. We loved talking with them and they were excellent at giving us the low down of the town and square.
We definitely suggest that you stay with them. And by the way, the brownies are to die for!
After searching many B&Bs for accommodations for a Girl's Weekend away for 4, we decided on Park Avenue Manor. Maurice was very prompt to reply by telephone to my e-mail and many questions. He was very knowledgable and willing to help me complete our arrangements. Every morning was a superb breakfast with a different set of china. The rooms were very clean and beds very comfortable. Even though their website states that they have a cat on the premises as well as 2 dogs, we never saw (or heard) them. We will definitely stay here on our next girl's trip to Savannah. Thank you for doing what you obviously were destined to do. You do it well. :) May you have many years of continued success. Alisa

Our stay could not have been better. Maurice and Glenn know the definition of "Southern Hospitality"! The breakfasts were amazing with a new dish (and themed tableware) being serviced every morning. Our room was clean, quiet and cozy (cozy does not mean little). We've already picked out the room that we want to stay in on our next visit. They made our anniversary truly memorable!
Just got back from a great weekend at The Park Avenue Manor. Our hosts could not have been more accomodating. They were just terrific. There were 6 of us and we alll enjoyed our stay.
Terrific value. Good breakfasts. Great service. Highly recommend this location
This was our first time in Savannah and unsure where to stay. After much research, we picked the Park Avenue Manor! It truly was an enjoyable stay with the BEST breakfast in town. We are planning our next trip back to Savannah and WILL stay again at the manor. Great hosts! Beautiful park to run or walk in. Relax is the word. Hollee and Brian
Thanks for making our stay, in your city, wonderful!!
I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful time, we had staying in your B and B. Your home, in so beautifully, detailed. Every room, had so many interesting things to look at. Our room, was beautiful! It was warm and inviting. I took some pictures, on my cell phone, because I wanted to show my friends, and family, what a wonderfull place we stayed at.
The breakfasts, were outstanding. Clearly, exceeding my expectations. It was delicious, and the presentation, was wonderfull. My husband and I felt very special. What a wonderful way to start off the day, in your great city.
I especially welcomed, suggestions, on where to go for dinner. There suggestions were right on. Staying with Maurice and Glenn made our visit so special. You know we will be back, in the future. Sharon and Don, Wisconsin
Our stay at Park Avenue Manor was truly blissful. My husband and I reveled in the immaculate upkeep and attention to detail put forth my our tremendous hosts, Maurice and Glen. Our three day trip to Savannah would not have been complete without their genuine hospitality and thoughtfulness. The room was picturesque and our visit felt like we were with family. We wish you continued success and we will be back!
Beautiful, comfortable, extremely friendly, superb breakfast and the nicest inn keepers you could ever want to meet. Our family plans to start a new tradition and go here each Thanksgiving. Not only did we find a great place, but new friends too. Even the children raved about it. If you are choosing a bed and breakfast in Savannah, look no further, you have found it.
My husband and I had a wonderful time! We went for our 15th Wedding Anniversary. Glenn and Maurice are a friendly, engaging couple who made us feel at home. We enjoyed delicious breakfasts, quiet time out on the patio, strolls in Forsythe Park, and brownies and sherry in the evenings. We came back to our room after having dinner to find champagne and glasses to toast our anniversary with! It was a nice touch and really made us feel special. We now have a home away from home and we definitely plan on coming back!

Did you ever think that cozy, comfortable, and elegant could all describe the same place? Well, that's exactly how Maurice and Glenn have put together their B&B, Park Avenue Manor! My recent stay was the best! Maurice and Glenn are the perfect hosts and have created an environment that is home away from home with a "days gone by" feel. Every room is decorated in style and cleanliness is obviously a priority. Each morning's breakfast was delicious and an abundance of food - the hot foods were really hot, not just lukewarm! The conversation shared around the table was a pleasant way to start the day. Another tribute to the comfortable atmosphere that exists. The outside courtyard is another area where guests can relax, unwind, read, chat, or just enjoy the fresh air.
Thanks to Maurice and Glenn's suggestions on things to see, restaurants, and helpful tips, we were able to navigate the historic district successfully. The Manor's location makes walking to most places quite doable and in the weather that we had it was quite enjoyable. Upon returning after our long days of touring Savannah, we were guaranteed to find a fire in the fireplace, soft lighting, and sherry and brownies on the table. Who could ask for more special treatment?
It was hard to say "Good-by". Maurice and Glenn had treated us like family and made sure that our stay in Savannah was memorable. I know that I will return to Savannah, and I know that I will only stay at Park Avenue Manor. I'm already looking forward to my next visit:)

THANKS FOR A WONDERFUL STAY AT YOUR BED AND BREAKFAST. COMFORTABLE AND BEAUTIFUL . IT WAS WONDERFUL. BREAKFAST WAS SPECIAL EVERY MORNING. WE REALLY LEFT FEELING THAT WE HAD MET NEW FRIENDS
Where to begin? No need, everything was wonderful. Maurice and Glenn were the best of hosts and we made friends with the other guests. In fact, I have already received an email from my new friend. Maurice and Glenn went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed or wanted (except that million dollars we all could use!). We have decided that this B&B is a "keeper". Steve & Franki
Great stay. We are three senior Navy Vets/wives who like to laugh it up and have fun. Our stay couldn't have been much better. We now have new friends in Savannah and a place we can feel at home. Can't wait to visit again.
We stayed here for two nights at the end of October 2009. The location is great, at one end of Forsyth Park and a pleasant walk to the historic district. The hosts, Maurice and Glenn, were charming and welcoming, and obviously very proud of their recently-acquired business. The house is lovely, with many little ornaments that make it very home-like. There are two lounges to relax in and books and magazines to browse. Breakfast was ample and the conversation flowed. If we are passing though Savannah again, we would definitely stay here! Michael and Frank
Maurice and Glenn are great hosts who really want their guests to feel welcomed and cared for. Their breakfasts were great, they offered helpful information about what to do in Savannah, and their house is gorgeous. The location is wonderful too, near Forsythe Park.
We spent two nights at the Park Avenue Manor in October and would highly recommend it to others. The Inn was fabulous and the hosts - Maurice and Glenn - exceeded our expectations. The food was outstanding and the friendship was great. The location allowed us to wonder thru-out the historic district on foot and see all the beautiful areas of Savannah. Truly a great visit.

Positive Feedback: My husband and I were greeted with true Southern hospitality. Maurice was such a joy when we first arrived. The room was very comfortable. Maurice was very helpful with suggestions on where to eat.
Negative Feedback: The bed had plastic wrapped around the mattress. I understand what was trying to be accomplished but this could be done with a double sheeting or something. It's not what I want to hear each time I roll over in the middle of the night.
Overall Impression: I would definitely consider visiting with Maurice and Glenn in the future.
[Resource Id: InnkeeperResponse, Set: reviews] Thank you for your review. We are happy you enjoyed our southern hospitality and that you found your room to be “very comfortable”. Regarding your comment about the mattress wrapped in plastic: none of the mattresses here at the Park Avenue Manor have ever been covered in plastic. We do cover our mattresses with mattress pads/covers, which are top of the line products and are not made of plastic.
We had the privilege of staying at Park Avenue Manor on our recent trip to Savannah (Oct. 7-12). This was the first time we’ve stayed at a B&B. And you can bet, should the opportunity arise to go back to Savannah, we will be returning to Park Avenue Manor in a heartbeat! Our gracious innkeepers, Maurice and Glenn, couldn’t have been more fabulous hosts. We were made to feel as though we were family as soon as we were greeted at the front door. Their Victorian home was absolutely beautiful, warm and comfortable. Our room was clean, pleasant and our bed was extremely comfortable. Maurice and Glenn were excellent chefs. A delicious homemade breakfast was served up every day at 8:30 am. It was a wonderful dining experience for us. We were served by candle light on china on a beautifully decorated table, which boasted a different tablescape each day. We were not rushed and we enjoyed conversations we had with the other guests and our hosts while gathered at the table. There was no shortage of insightful suggestions of where to eat, shop and tour. The home is located on a corner of Forsythe Park and is within walking distance of everything in the historical district. Maurice and Glen were eager to make our experience in Savannah a most pleasurable one. I'd say that they definetly acheived that. As my husband put it, “Maurice and Glen set the bar high for other B & Bs out there.” We were so moved by our stay at Park Avenue Manor that we were sad to leave as we honestly feel we’ve left some good friends/family behind. If you choose to stay at a B & B in Savannah, make Park Avenue Manor your home away from home. We guarantee you won’t go wrong! Faron and Elizabeth
Our first trip to Savannah made memorable by staying at this fabulous B&B! It started with Maurice greeting us at the door, being shown to our fantastic room, delicious, bountiful breakfasts, recommendations to restaurants, but best of all the wonderful conversations with both Maurice and Glenn. It was so neat to see someone "live their dream". We truly felt at home at the Park Avenue Manor. We sincerely hope our paths cross again someday...Karen & Richard
Our first time at a bed and breakfast.. and we were not disappointed. In fact, it exceeded all our expectations in every way! The hosts, Maurice and Glenn went out of their way to see to all our needs. Breakfast was delightful and delicious! We felt very comfortable and relaxed. Maurice and Glenn are so very friendly and caring hosts. We wouldn't even think of staying any where else when in Savannah. Thank you so much, Maurice and Glenn.
Just loved our stay at Park Ave Manor, our room was beautiful and clean, our breakfasts were really special, served at a beautifully set table each morning. Thanks to Maurice and Glenn for making our first visit to Savannah so special...we really hated to leave ...would recommend this lovely home to anyone visiting Savannah...You will love it!!
Park Avenue Manor is a gem. The comfort of the room, the hospitality, the location, and the breakfast all make us want to return. Thank you Maurice and Glenn.

I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed staying at the Park Avenue Manor. I have stayed at other B&Bs throughout Savannah, including the Kehoe House, and I have to say that this B&B outshines all of them. This was my husband's first experience at a B&B and I honestly don't think he was too excited about going; however, after staying at the Park Avenue, he agrees that we won't stay anywhere else while in Savannah. This is the B&B to stay in if you are looking for Savannah charm with a terrific breakfast. Loved it!
No more scouring the Internet for places to stay in Savannah! This is it!
This was our first time EVER in a BnB & I didn't know quite what to expect or what to do. Maurice, one of the owners, was so kind to call us to see how our trip was going before we even got there! Talk about starting off on the RIGHT foot! My husband & I celebrated our anniversary here - Maurice & Glenn made that extra special. We stayed in the Colony Room which was honestly like home away from home. I think I actually slept better there than in my own bed. The BnB owners were great at being transparent, yet attentive to us. The breakfasts were a favorite part of the day for me, meeting other guests and seeing what the china of the day was. This BnB fits even budget mindful people AND you get a sense of being someone special in this home. I would highly recommend staying here. Eat a brownie for me!
We were pleasantly surprised. Only our second experience at a B&B. The new hosts are charming and very accommodating. A casual atmosphere is felt even among the Victorian surroundings. It's a wonderful home in a beautiful neighborhood. Maurice, Glenn, Savannah, & Park Avenue Manor- - -Perfect Together!
This was my first experience at a B&B in Savannah. Maurice & Glenn were great hosts & went out of their way to make us feel welcome & comfortable. As for the location, Park Avenue Manor is located right across from beautiful Forsythe Park and walking distance to everything. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and the brownies & sherry are a great treat after a day of touring the city. The full, hot breakfast was delicious and a great touch! I would highly recommend Park Avenue Manor to visitors for the location, the cleanliness, the value, and most of all the owners who take great pride in this historic home
I absolutely loved my stay at the Park Avenue Manor. I have been coming to Savannah for 3 years now to move my daughter back to SCAD and it is a very sad time for me. Maurice and Glenn's warm hospitality, great food and relaxing atmosphere helped to ease the pain of having to leave my daughter. The rooms are beautiful and I enjoyed a very lazy late afternoon in the back garden. I have already booked my next stay!
An enormous "Thank You" to Park Avenue Manor's new owners, Maurice and Glenn. Park Avenue Manor offered us the best vacation accomodation. The entire experience was pleasant and relaxing from Maurice greating us at the door, to the wonderful evening chat, and the fabulous morning breakfast. I love the feeling of being "home." Thanks for everything Maurice and Glenn. We can't wait to come back and see you!
We absolutely loved our stay in Savannah and this B&B was one of the reasons! Maurice and Glenn are gracious and helpful hosts and the food is AWESOME! You will not find a friendlier host family in Savannah! The location is perfect for walking the city and finding access to all sites and activities. We highly recommend this beautiful historic home for your stay.
This is a very nice B&B with beautifully decorated rooms just at the corner of Forsyth Park. Maurice and Glenn are wonderful hosts. When they knew that we were getting married they prepared a surprise for us when we came back to our room. We loved the breakfast they prepared and which was different every day. If we will come back to visit Savannah again, this is definitely where we will stay.
This was our first b&b experience and Maurice and Glenn's first guests as Innkeepers at Park Avenue Manor. We were so very lucky to have such great hospitality. Maurice warmly greeted us at the door upon arrival; showed us to our room and gladly helped with Savannah info. Each morning of our 3 day stay we were served a wonderfully home cooked breakfast with such things as biscuits, quiche, fresh fruit, french toast and srambled eggs! A very quiet and peaceful location conveniently located next to the historical district in the victorian district; we enjoyed it so much we stayed an additional day. Thank you Maurice and Glenn!
