We were very pleased with our stay at the Inn. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The good sized rooms were nicely furnished. The snacks at 6pm and dessert at 8:30pm were an unexpected bonus. The courtyard garden was charming. The location next to Forsyth Park was a real plus. We were close enough to walk everywhere, but the neighborhood was quiet.
For my wedding I had planned on using the room to get ready then going across the street for the ceremony. There was concern that the park would be too loud with the traffic so we decided to do the ceremony in the courtyard. We check no one was in the court yard at the time so it was perfect!!! All nine people fit comfortably. I was able to take lots of wedding pictures in and around the Inn without disturbing other guest or having to pay to close areas off. Probably the most economical Savannah elopement! The staff at Forsyth Park are extremely helpful and nice! They do offer an elopement package however it was out of my price range and more than I needed for my small group.
Forsyth Park Inn is the perfect location if you are wanting to visit the Historic District. It is within easy walking distance yet nice to return to the quiet of the Inn versus the touristy section of River Street. The front porch overlooks Forsyth Park so is a great way to spend the afternoon people watching and reading a great book in one of the rocking chairs.
From the staff to the rooms to the location to the service to the food we could not have been happier at the Forsyth Park Inn. We would not hesitate to recommend it to others and hope to return some day soon. To the staff - thank you so much for ensuring a perfect stay.
We had a wonderful stay. The staff were very helpful and their suggestions for dining and things to do were right on! Our breakfasts were delicious and the afternoon tea was delightful. Would recommend this Inn to any of our friends!
The Forsyth Park Inn was conveniently located near everything we wanted to see in Savannah. The concierge was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The inn and garden are beautiful. We enjoyed wine and hors d'oeuvres on the porch which is across from the park. We would certainly stay there again if in Savannah.
wonderful little place in the heart of the historic district. antiques everywhere and no room is the same. a little pricey at times, but worth the dollar because the personal service is outstanding! definitely going back!

First time in Savannah and the Forsyth was a cozy get away from the busy town just a few blocks away but i must say parking and dining on that end of town will make me think about where to stay next time. Everyone at the Forsyth was extremely helpful and made the stay very enjoyable and that memory will last a lifetime.
Location, comfortable bed,and staff service was very good. Room was nice and spacious. The afternoon cheese, crackers, and wine, and the evening desert were very good.
The not so good, TV was old (no hi-def), Internet service was below average, and the bathroom was disappointing. The road noise was was fairly loud. Room 7
Stayed for one night. Dwayne from the staff was a big help for us to book multiple activities into a short time frame. He was efficient and quick to offer suggestions and referrals on rest. (Old Pink House so spectacular), ghost tour (old trolley tour was awesome), and referred us to free DOT shuttle. Only minor complaint was that room was loud at night due to trains, cars etc. ( thin windows and much out of their control). We really had an amazing visit-can't wait to visit you again!
An outstanding property, made even more special by the great attention to detail by staff. We so enjoyed Jerry's stories and the way he made us feel so welcome and at home here for our first visit to Savannah. We stayed in the cottage, but were always welcomed into the main house and both Jerry and Dwayne were always so gracious in answering our questions, booking reservations, and providing directions to sites, and we did ask lots of questions!
Will definitely stay again when we return to beautiful Savannah.
This is our fourth time staying at the Forsyth Park Inn. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Savannah! The Innkeeper and her staff are all so welcoming and genuinely seem to enjoy having us (and our two dogs) stay with them. This time we brought our sixteen year old sons and they too appreciated the hospitality and beauty of this Inn, as well as the lovely city of Savannah. (Donna and family from Nashville, TN)
[Resource Id: InnkeeperResponse, Set: reviews] Thank you for choosing the Forsyth Park Inn for your recent stay in Savannah. We have read your comments about the inn and we greatly appreciate that you took the time to write them, as our guests’ satisfaction is our main priority. We definitely enjoyed having you and your family stay with us. Your sons were a delight and the dogs were beautiful and well-behaved. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your collaboration and we hope to see you again soon at The Forsyth Park Inn for a fifth stay.
As the surprise getaway destination for my 20th anniversary, I selected the Forsyth Park Inn B&B as our destination based on their location in the historic district of Savannah on one of the beautiful parks in the area, as well as their availability: other options that I explored in the area were already booked up when I was making my reservations. The staff was exceptionally helpful and accommodating of my wife's dietary restrictions and prepared meals to meet her needs (soft foods only) quite well. I can honestly say that I have never had better blueberry pancakes than I had at breakfast Sunday morning - no out of the box mix here, as everything was fresh and flavorful. While the location was several blocks from the waterfront, it was an easy walk to get to the many dining and shopping options in the area, and the pedal cabs and horse drawn carriages in the area, of which we took advantage of both, gave great local transportation options when our feet got tired. I believe that, while not an inexpensive option, the exceptional staff and beautiful settings provided substantial value. While not our first B&B stay, we most often stay at hotels, and greatly appreciated the B&B lifestyle for this special occasion.
This was the first time my husband and I had ever stayed at a Bed and Breakfast. Forsyth Park Inn was wonderful. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Waking up to the smell of breakfast cooking and the surrealism of being taken back in time was wonderful. It reminded me of when I was a little girl and waking up to my grandma's breakfast. The rooms are very large and spacious as well as gorgeous! You are in walking distance of everything. We never moved our car from early Friday until Sunday afternoon. We absolutely LOVED Forsyth Park Inn and will definitely be staying there again when visiting the beautiful city of Savannah.

Room was large but faced the busy street and it was noisy. Room was never made up the second day and had to ask for new towels. Breakfast was ok. It was nice eating out on the porch. Would return but would stay in a different room.

We stayed in savannah and in your bed & breakfast fo the fisrt time.we've stayed in inns in the north east many times and the hospitality in your town and THE INN was second to none. we will be returning.thank you for a gracious stay.armando&maria resillez,Miami Fl.
Loved the location - proximity to Forsyth Park / distance from tourist downtown. The staff couldn't have been friendlier and were helpful with suggestions for restaurants. Breakfasts were delicious - filling yet not so that you felt you needed a nap. Wine hour and desserts in the evening were a welcoming touch.
IF we ever come back to Savannah, we will without a doubt stay here. The staff, the food, the location. And at agreat price. We stayed across the part on our one night return, before we knew how much we LOVED the forsythe. We much preferred the forsythe!

Beautiful historic Inn -- and close to several amenities
We had a wonderful stay. The house is quite beautiful - staff was very helpful and accommodating. Whether it's marveling at the 19th century architect, the wonderful breakfast, or the beautiful gardens, you won't be disappointed. The Inn is also conveniently located next to Forsyth Park and walking distance to historic downtown.

Most b&b don't allow for little ones (understandably with all the beautiful antiques and decor) So it was a wonderful option at Forsyth Park Inn to be able to stay in the cottage with our son! We could not have asked for more perfect accommodations, adorable and cozy with great fenced courtyard. Can't wait to go back!
The food was wonderful, the service was outstanding, the atmosphere was truly a feeling of home away from home. I recommend you try it , you just might like also. I look forward to visiting there again.
The Forsyth Park Bed and Breakfast was the best choice as a base for our stay in Savannah. Each day started with a delicious breakfast on the porch accompanied by a view of the Forsyth Park Fountain. We walked to dining, shopping and historic homes with no need for a car the first two days. Everything else was a short drive away. Each afternoon we returned to hor dourves and drinks on the porch before heading out for fine dining or a ghost tour in the evening. Each night we returned to the comfort of the inn and enjoyed desserts and coffee while sitting in the porch rockers before retiring to a lovely room and comfortable bed. The room had a private bath and a balcony overlooking the garden which made the stay all that more enjoyable. During our stay, the staff was informative and attentive. Forsyth Park in is just far enough away from downtown Savannah to quiet the hustle and bustle, but close enough to take advantage of everything Savannah has to offer. I highly recommend it.
The minute I laid my eyes upon the Forsyth Park Inn, I knew my stay would be most enjoyable. When my husband and I walked in we were greeted by a friendly young man. He was very welcoming. We had questions about Savannah, first time visitors, and he was very knowledgeable. He arranged for a shuttle to pick us up and take us to the trolley tour of the city.
What history, Savannah encompasses. The trolley driver was a wonderful host and gave us an outstandling narrative of historical Savannah.
I highly recommend the Forsyth Park Inn and we'll be visiting again soon!
This was our first stop on our 'southern ' tour and we arrived here after a 16 hour journey. We were truly delighted at the accomodations, and the welcome and efficiency of staff who gave good advice about nearby eating places and sightseeing tips. The Forsyth Inn was well placed for good walking through Savannah's squares and historic district. We just loved the Forsyth Inn, would like to go back and would recommend it to anyone interested in 'southern' charm and hospitality. It well met the description given on the website and would encourage us to use BedandBreakfast.com again.
Although this place was a bit expensive it was worth every penny. The service and food was outstanding. Our room was amazing. The only down side was also a positive thing. We were distanced from downtown making it necessary to get a pedicab or car service. The up side was that the neighborhood was quiet at night. I would recommend bringing a bike. As an experienced B&B patron, i highly recommend a stay at the Forsyth Park Inn!
Just like the pictures - picture perfect! Stayed in the adorbale Room 8, which included a balcony. Sitting on the porch having breakfast while overlooking Forsyth Park was like living in a dream. Enjoyed the quiet setting away from the river, though close enough to walk or take the free trolley with a stop just across the park.
Dwayne will help you plan you entire trip - has great insider knowledge of the best places to meet your tastes having grown up just around the corner.
A very welcoming place to stay; staff were helpful and lively.
The position of the property, opposite the park and in easy walking distance of the old town was excellent. We loved it!
Large comfortable room. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were good . Fresh fruit daily and the pancakes were yummy. It was a big it pricier than many other places, but we were there on a weekend.
Beautiful location across from Forsyth Park & easy walking distance to restaurants & shopping. Staff was friendly, helpful & very responsive. Breakfast was nice & front porch is great. Wine would be nice for social hour, but apparently alcohol permit cost is prohibitive. Anyway, beds were comfortable & restful. If you are a light sleeper, however, be sure to request a room upstairs & away from the main road as there is street traffic all night long. We would enjoy revisiting.
This was such an amazing BnB...I had no idea when I booked the rooms that it actually was a BnB... Didn't read...lol The food was excellent the service was very good. and the first two days we had Jerry as our concierge and he was terrific, gave us great map lots of places to eat suggested the tour, and was funny and personable each time we saw him. He gets high points from me because he made me feel like I was visiting friends not strangers. I would stay again any time.
Our concierge Dwayne was very helpful and friendly! The breakfasts were quite delicious and we very much appreciated the early morning coffee provided. We will definitely return to the Forsyth Park Inn for our next getaway to Savannah.
We stay at this lovely bed and breakfast in the heart of old Savannah every year on our way to vacation in Florida with the family. If you've ever wondered what it would be like to stay in an old southern plantation style house similar to anything you've seen in the movies, then this is the place to stay. The house has such old world charm with all the modern conveniences. There's a beautiful park directly across the street that at night with the lamps on looks magical and enchanting. The owners and the staff here are beyond accommodating and always friendly. It's so refreshing to see the same faces year after year and to be remembered. My husband and I are so taken with Savannah and this Inn that our dream is to some day move here. That says a lot about our experience.
The wedding service in the courtyard was profwessional, warm and friendly, and handled without a hitch. I rate it outstanding.
The people at the Inn did everything to make our stay an experience to remember.
Our only complaint was hearing the traffic all night on the street. My husband and I are both very light sleepers and we had trouble sleeping with the noises from the cars. Our room was on the ground level next to the street. Other than that, we absolutely loved staying there.

This was an absolutely wonderful place to get away from it all. Within walking distance to amazing restaurants, away from all the touristy stuff (but close enough if that's your thing). We stayed in room #5 and it was so romantic. The breakfast was delicious, the service was fantastic and the location great (bed was comfy, too and coffee in the garden was a nice treat). Can you tell I had a nice time?
I learned of a package deal for the Inn through LivingSocial.com. When I called the weekend packages were sold out. I explained to the staff that I was trying to plan a surprise trip for my fiancée’s 4oth birthday. He kindly let me know of other options they had available which worked out perfectly & I made our reservation. Email confirmations quickly followed along with information about the Inn & things to do around the city.
Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by the staff. The concierge on duty took time to show us a map of the city, highlight areas of interest & provide some background on various things to do & see while in town.
We arrived on a Friday & stayed through Sunday. During the whole stay everyone was friendly & helpful. The food was delicious & the atmosphere was great.
What my fiancée' did not know was that I was also planning to propose to her that weekend. In visiting with the staff during our stay they of course congratulated us & let us know they could have done things to make it special had they known. We assured them we appreciated the thought but the weekend was going quite well & we were very happy.
We were in Savannah the last week of September 2011. When checking out we talked to the concierge about coming back for St. Patrick’s Day, a major holiday for Savannah. Rooms were already booking & as expected book quickly for that day. We let him know we'd think it over & call them if we decided to book. Once home we checked the calendar to find that St. Patty's day falls on a Sat. in 2012. The more we thought about it the more we wanted to go back, the holiday falling on a Sat. is perfect & we could not find any reason not to return for another visit. Within the week I made reservations on line for a Fri. to Sun. stay & our neighbor is coming with us to join the fun.
We have come to love Savannah and try to get there every year. This is our second time to stay at the Forsyth Park Inn and we love the fact that we can bring our dogs and stay in the Cottage. The Cottage is roomy and perfect for someone with a pet. Forsyth Park is right across the street and we love to spend time there. Jerry is always helpful and enjoyable to talk with. We wouldn't think of staying anywhere else! D&D from Nashville, TN
The time we spent at the Forsyth Park Inn was very special. The inn is lovely with very attentive and helpful concierges. The cocktail hour and the evenings coffee and desserts were delicious, but the breakfast was the highlight of the day. Wonderful gourmet food with fresh herbs out of their garden. Overlooking Forsyth Park, it is an ideal location for walking around, biking or skating as well as just a slow wander around the park. I would highly recommend the Forsyth Park Inn.
Room was clean and comfortable. Took forever for the tub to fill up though will little water pressure (minor). Service was good. The staff was friendly but they are not
there 24 hours a day and would not be in until around 8 AM. I would have liked someone to be at the front desk by 6 AM at least. It was reasonably priced considering the location to the park and the prices of downtown chain hotels. The food was great but my only complaint was that you had to reserve your time for breakfast and I would have preferred to be able to eat anytime without breakfast hours without reservations.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the Inn to others.

This was our second experience at Forsyth Park Inn, and if anything it exceeded our previous stay. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful with planning details of our stay in Savannah. We would strongly recommend Forsyth Park Inn to any one, and will definitely stay there again.
The rooms are very big and bright. Staff is very accommodating. Food was outstanding. Situated across from the beaautiful Forsyth Park and close to everything downtown. We really enjoyed ourselves! Already recommending it to some of our neighbors.
I particularly liked the the attention to details both in the lodging conditions and the service. The staff was especially accommodating. Great stay!!!

Warm Savannah day arriving at “The Forsyth Park Inn” spot on 10.30am, knowing check-in wasn’t until 4.30pm, taking a chance that they may just store our luggage safely, that they did no hesitations at all, they even assisting us with information on the best way to explore the city. The whole event was just what I imagined it to be. By 5pm we had returned not wanting to miss anything not even afternoon’s beverages of ice tea/orange juice and wine. Not forgetting the hors d’oeuvres home-made spring rolls to an assortment of cheese/crackers.Feeling very relaxed socking up all the Southern charm this romantic Inn had to offer, it was like a vortex which kept us there for the rest of the evening, mesmerized by a scene not experience before, very content staying on the veranda in the rocking chairs which overlook Savannahs lavish Forsyth Park, Spanish Moss hanging, the scent of the blooming flowers, birds singing and dancing way past sundown perfect place to be. Later evening we were served home-made double choc cupcakes with the most amazing frosting, selection of tea/decaf coffee, which topped the evening off nicely.
Room 8, we like the fact that it had a large balcony, overlooking the lovely gardens below. Our room was quaint, well decorated we enjoyed all its historical glory. The bed was a little on the smaller side when compared to the other rooms, however the bed its self was very comfortable and the linen was soft.
Morning breakfast was a real treat, served by Miss Rosa, just loved her southern charm what an experience for an Aussie guest. Breakfast consisted of the best homemade granola ever eaten followed by fluffy blueberry pancakes/ scramble eggs/sausages plus a bowl of fresh fruit, tea/coffee. Top way to start the day, a scrumptious breakfast on this amazing veranda overlooking Forsyth Park.
Icing on top of the cake moment, The Inn taker (Lori) and 3 lovely staff members assisted us to our car with our heavy luggage all farewelling us with a hug and kiss.
A fantastic bed and breakfast! The breakfasts were different, but outstanding. The rooms comfortable, quiet, and convenient to anywhere we wanted to go. Having the park across the street only adds to the charm of the inn.
We look forward to going back, and as the title says, we wish we could have stayed longer on our first visit.

The inn is in a perfect location in Savannah, right on the beautiful park. It was easy to walk all over town from there. The rooms were lovely and spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. We were served beverages upon our arrival, and at about 8:00 pm, dessert was served in the parlor, which were both pleasant surprises, and very good. Breakfast on the veranda the next morning was also very delicious and beautifully presented--a delightful start to the day! The staff was courteous, helpful, knowledgeable about things to see and do in town, and accommodating to our needs. The Forsyth Park Inn was the best place we stayed on our trip to Savannah, Beaufort and Charleston, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates the charm and grace of a historic home. ( It has quite an interesting history, too!)
My husband and I had a parents week end away. What a great experience we had at the Forsyth Park Inn. Historic charm!~Friendly staff! Great food! Nothing better than eating breakfast while sitting on a great front porch overlooking Forsyth Park!
Forsyth Park Inn is a wonderful bed and breakfast that offers a relaxing and comfortable stay. Staff are friendly and the rooms are delightful. We walked everywhere and enjoyed access to Forsyth Park across the street for our morning run, enjoyed a relaxing stroll and playing in the playground. We have stayed here twice over the summer and truly enjoyed the property and meeting other guests.

This Inn was by far our greatest stay when visiting Savannah. My wife and I loved that each room has it's own theme, and the one we were in took us away from the modern world and let us relax in such a great environment. Thanks to the great staff and a wonderful breakfast as well as a wonderful Inn to stay at - we'll be back to visit!
A historic B&B is the only way to fully enjoy the beautiful city of Savannah! Forsyth Park Inn was a wonderful place that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a retreat. Their courtyard is picturesque and breakfast on their porch could not have been more peaceful! We had a wonderful weekend and would certainly return to Forsyth Park Inn.
We got married in the courtyard and stayed in the cottage in 2010. It was a perfect day we will always remember! We recently went back to celebrate one year together, and were welcomed by the friendly staff and relaxing atmosphere that the Inn provides. We love it here, and will definitely go back. Thanks Lori, and all of the staff!

My daughter and I spent the weekend at the Forsyth Park Inn and from the momment we arrived until we departed, it was a wonderful experience. What a beautiful old home -- we loved having our afternoon treats on the wonderful front porch -- accessing porch via the classic window opening was a treat - like stepping back in time! I could have stayed out there all evening watching the comings and goings in Forsyth Park, except there is too much to do in Savannah to sit for very long! The breakfast was delighful and our bed was comfy and wecoming. The private back garden was like an oasis ready to be enjoyed. We will definitely return!

I have stayed at alot of bed and breakfast, several in Savannah, and I can honestly say this is by far the best I have ever stayed at. The room was beautiful and the view of Forsyth Park was incrediable. The food was out of this world. I do not beleive there is a better staff at any bed & breakfast that could beat the service the staff at this inn provides. From the time I walked in the door till my departure everyone of them were polite, friendly and willing to assist me with directions to different locations or to just answer any questions I had about the inn or Savannah (Thanks). Do yourself a favor and stay at this inn if your going to Savannah... You will not be sorry.

I will clarify one thing - it was an amazing value, however it was because we had purchased a groupon that allowed us to stay there for $139 a night. It is an absolutely gorgeous place. Beautifully located. Staff is so helpful, and funny too! Breakfasts are AMAZING. Cannot wait to go back!

Room was fine. Breakfast was fine. Location was convenient, but there was a good bit of traffic noise. The staff was "iffy". A couple of the front desk people seemed to regard us as a necessary evil disturbing their routines, despite the fact that all we asked for was directions-no special requests. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. The cat, Sadie Mae, was terrific.

My financee and I decided at the last minute to elope, rather than plan a wedding. I called Forsyth Park Inn and they took care of all of the details for our elopment, with flare and style! Because it was was last minute, there was very little time to get the cake and flowers ordered and book the minister, but they did it! Our room was perfect and the ceremony was absolutely beautiful. All of the staff were so helpful and treated us like royalty. The location is perfect, sitting right on the park. I will recommend Forsyth Park Inn to anyone going to Savannah.
This is a very lovely inn. What made my stay even better was the warm hospitality of the all who worked there. The breakfasts were amazing and to have the evening hors d'oeuvres and late nite deserts was a treat. The Forsyth Park Inn is exceptionally clean and all of the rooms have their own distinct charm. I definitely will stay there again when in Savannah.

My wife and I traveled to Savannah and stayed at the Forsyth Park Inn for our second anniversary. The inn is beautiful, the folks there are great, the food is delicious, and view of the park is very relaxing. I would highly suggest anyone who is interested in visiting Savannah to choose this inn for their stay. The inn sits right across the street from the park and is a perfect walking distance from River Street (removed from the hustle and bustle), don't forget to grab a traveler.
I was totally happy with my time at the Forsyth Park Inn. The location is wonderful...you have a beautiful view of the park from the veranda, where breakfast is served each morning. Jerry, one of the concierges, is a wonderful source of knowledge about which tours to take and what to see in a limited-time trip, such as mine was. The tours that I took all picked me up right at the Inn, which was great. The breakfasts were all delicious...a different one each morning. There was sweet tea and ice water available all day, with wine and snacks served in the afternoon, and sweets served at night. The only surprise I had that I was not expecting was the 15" computer monitor that served as the TV in my room...that was a little hard to get used to. The housekeeping staff is great...impeccable service. I highly recommend this Inn.

This is an absolutely gorgeous inn with a wonderfully charming, southern, hospitable staff. Breakfasts on the veranda - delightful. Wine in the garden - lovely. I would recommend this inn to friends and family and anyone intending to visit Savannah!
The Forsyth Park Inn is a wonderful Bed and Breakfast. The location is perfect, right next to the beautiful Forsyth Park. It is exactly a mile around and great for a morning run! The location however, is quiet and relaxing. Close to everything in the historic district (within walking distance!), yet without the busy tourist traffic when you want to sit for an afternoon tea. Their evening cocktail hour is a nice touch. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and unique. Breakfasts are superb and the staff does an amazing job of catering to your diet needs. Inn Keepers have great stories of the city. Truly an amazing experience. Will definitely stay here again!
Everyone who worked there was lovely. The room I was in was very pretty but the bathroom needed some work. A missing sink stopper and a few other small things like that. The food was good, service excellent and everybody went out of their way to help us whatever the question. And the park is so pretty!
We were very pleased with our stay here. EVERY staff member was courteous and helpful. Concierge service was helpful and made very good recommendations based on our preferences and needs. The Inn and rooms are prettier in person than on the internet pics. We highly recommend this Inn.

Great location-across the street from Forsyth Park. Lovely park, great people watching, plenty of sun, plenty of shade. Staff was eager to provide recommendations and we found the information to be very helpful. The friendly staff encouraged friendly guest interaction. Great bedding! We'd definitely stay again.
All of the public aspects of Forsyth Park Inn were great -- the veranda, the private garden, the sitting room, the helpful concierge(s). And its location cannot be beat. However, for the price paid, there were some surprising oversights with respect to the individual room. First, a pet peeve of mine, only ONE wastebasket, especially annoying in a what is essentially a suite. Extreme lack of hangers -- we were only there for a weekend and there were not enough hangers for both of us to hang up our few articles of clothing. Also, there should be skirt and trouser hangers, not just a few pathetic looking rejects from old dry cleaning. TV reception was crummy -- since a TV is not "period" anyway, at least get a decent, up-to-date flat screen with cable if you are going to have one. There was a desk/chair in the room, but nothing to go with it -- a small pad of paper would have been nice. Our room fronted on Abercorn (and therefore the park, which is lovely) but the street was quite noisy at night and double-glazed windows would have been appreciated. (My travelling companion uses earplugs at night and was bothered by the noise; a heads up by the inn would be a less expensive fix.) Lastly -- while the bed was comfortable, the pillows and bedding more than adequate, it was tall -- I am short, and unfortunately no longer so young, and it was quite a scramble to get into bed. In other B&Bs where I have stayed with similarly high beds there has always been a footstool placed conveniently by the bed to help getting in and out. Otherwise, a pleasant experience and I would stay at the Forsyth Park Inn again BUT they did not look in my loyalty: if I am going to pay that price, I will look around at other hotels, mainly to the factors mentioned above.

A lovely Savannah experience. Beautiful setting. A healthy walk to the city center, but the park was gorgeous. Service was outstanding and very helpful. The front room#3 had a significant amount of street noise. Highly recommend.

My family stays at this Inn every year in February on our way to Florida. This Inn has so much history and is incredibly beautiful. It's a magical place that we look forward to visiting every year. The rooms are clean, and the furniture and decorations make you feel like you've stepped back in time. The service is impeccable, and the southern hospitality is charming. If you want to feel like you've stepped back in time to a simpler southern way of life, do yourself a favor and stay at the Forsyth Park Inn.

We so enjoyed our two different stays at Forsyth Park Inn this past month. The greatest thing about the Inn is that it is pet friendly and our little darling Sadie could join us on our trip.
Our room was so spacious and just lovely. The back door to the courtyard was great for those late night and early morning trips out with the dog.
The food was so yummy and the price was just perfect. February rates were half off so who could complain about this?
The staff was just so accommodating and so helpful. Great suggestions on places to eat and so helpful in getting us on the trolley tour.
We just enjoyed our time at the Inn and would recommend it to everyone.
We had a great experience at this Inn. Room was very spacious and clean. Location near park is great. Was quiet and we had a great nights sleep. The concierge was very friendly, courteous and helpful when making recommendations on where we should eat. The food at the Inn was very good - we really enjoyed the breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

Had a great weekend stay at this bed and breakfast. The room was very large, the view was pretty and peaceful but the bed was super comfortable. We ate in front of the fireplace in the downstairs parlor and the breakfast was delicious. The view as the sun set from the front porch to the park was truly inspiring and we can't say enough about the staff. They were courteous, helpful and very entertaining. The ghost story lent a mystery to our trip when our alarm clock went off at midnight...we set it for 8 am. Definitely worth a return for us!

There isn't anything negative about this place. The rooms are huge and beautiful, the staff is warm and friendly, the view of the park is unmatched, and the food is fantastic. I will return here on my next visit to Savannah.
We had a wonderful time. We'll definitely stay there again. A family favorite:)
We stayed in the Carriage house with our children. We had a wonderful time. The breakfasts were fantastic! We enjoyed eating on the porch and in the parlor. The staff were more than friendly they treated us like family!
It was a wonderful!
What can I say. This place was perfect. Savannah is a beautiful town, with some colorful areas of course. The Forsyth Park Inn is in the perfect location. Completely ideal. The room rates were very reasonable for a very nice room. We spent our 5th anniversary there. And they even had a separate carriage house which we rented so we were able to bring our baby. Two thumbs up. Loved it, go there!

Beautiful quiet and welcoming. Having breakfast on the veranda with a view of the Forsyth Park fountain was heavenly. Being able to take walks in the park just across the street , makes it the only place I will ever want to stay in Savannah.Wine and horderves , in the afternoon, fabulous desserts and coffee after an evening out, made this B&B outstanding.
We arrived at the Inn and were greeted by a very helpful concierge. She showed us our beautiful room, explained a map of the city, and recommended a delicious restaurant within walking distance. The location on the park is great, the food is delicious, and the rooms are big and comfortable. I would highly recommend it!!
Staying at the Forsyth Inn enhanced our brief stay in Savannah. The Inn excudes history and charm, their courtyard is a little slice of heaven. Being able to walk across the street to a beautiful park and later that evening to a remarkable dinner at 700 Drayton was very romantic. Coming home to our Inn with dessert and coffee set up in the parlor made us dream that we lived in beautiful Savannah in this great mansion for just a bit.
That was the most comfortable bed i have ever slept in!! I could barely get out of it. This inn is the perfect place to just simply relax and enjoy historic Savannah. And the breakfast was really good and filling. I highly recommend staying here.
We stayed here over the Fourth of July weekend and had a wonderful time. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful. On-street parking was free and always plentiful, unlike some places. Since guests received key to front door, we were not required to return by a set time. On arrival we chose a time slot for breakfast (8, 9, or 10am) and had our own small table on the porch, which was nice for private conversations. The bed and bedding we had was extremely comfortable, and the toiletry supplied with the room was of quality as well, such that we didn't have to resort to the ones we brought. The house and the room were both well air conditioned (a must in the Summer!). Best of all, the Inn was very quiet despite being at a street corner (both streets had low traffic). It was also easy to find from the I-16 off-ramp (a right and a left turn). The neighborhood between the off-ramp and the Inn is run-down, but the Inn is far enough away that we felt safe both day and night.
While downtown tourist traps were really too far to walk from the inn, we had no problem driving each day, since parking wasn't a problem downtown either with a bit of turning and looking. Its location across from the park lends to a relaxed quiet atmosphere. We recommend Forsyth Park Inn to couples who are looking for a classy and quiet place to stay and see what Savannah might have been like 100 years ago.
We stayed in room 1. This is located on the first floor, is closest to the check-in room, and faces the main road. We could hear every car driving by. We could also hear people talking in the parlor and people checking in. Not relaxing at all. We weren't shown the common areas nor the garden. The breakfast was very small. I would not stay here again, nor would I recommend it to anyone. However, the room was beautiful, and the view of Forsyth Park was fantastic.
Our wedding anniversary stay at Forsythe Park Inn.
We stayed at this Inn this past weekend. We were just far enough from everything to ensure good exercise on our trip to and from the inn! Upon check in the night gentleman gave us a map and explained all the details about our stay and recommended local establishments. He was VERY friendly. We stayed in room 1 for two nights. The room was large and beautiful! The only thing I wasn't fond of was the porch being next to our room. But this was not enough of an issue to be anything more than a minor annoyance. We did have a bit of breakfast noise the first morning because it was such a delightful day outside and people ate on the porch outside our window. I would avoid this room if you are not planning on being up early as we were. The breakfast was good, we didn't eat alot of it because we planned to eat at many different places throughout the day. I do have to make a note of the desserts left out at night. The first night was cookies that tasted like they were made from scratch! I wanted to eat them all! The second night there was some yummy looking cake but I was too stuffed from dinner to get any. The last night was the BEST little cheesecake bites! I need to know where they got them they were so good! We did miss the wine and cheese hour all three nights. But we did see them setting up as we left each night and many people were in the Parlor gathering for it. Our second room was 9. It's a bit smaller than 1 but the bath is easily 3 times as big and so is the whirlpool tub! You actually step down into the bathroom in this room. It is quite beautiful. After 3 days and 4 nights in this Inn, I would heartily recommend it to anyone on a vacation thats looking for a great place to stay, beautiful rooms, and nice people. The price was perfect and the rooms only made us more curious as to what the rest of the Inn looked like. We will have to pick different rooms next time! A big thank you to the Inn and their staff for making our stay easy and memorable.

I came to this inn years ago and enjoyed myself so thoroughly! I was going to be in Savannah and couldn't wait to see this inn again. On the positive side, the room was lovely and comfortable. On the negative side, the staff was not "with it". I was expecting an equally wonderful time as the first time as I was there and that was far from what I did receive. When it came time for Happy Hour, the staff informed us that there was a failed recipe and so we got freezer quiches. Okay, so we were lucky to get freezer quiches right? It was just a little shocking. They advertise a selection of desserts laid out at night which was stupendous years ago but happened to be tiny brownie bites that had a peculiar taste to them. The breakfast was anything I could make, I was not wowed. After returning back to the inn before bedtime I was told that my bed wasn't turned down and a robe was not placed in my room due to the fact that other things were going on and I was basically just handed my robe in the hall. Uhmmm, okay then! So, the inn seems to have gone down but I would still recommend it for its lovely rooms and overall nice experience. It is located on Forsyth Park and has a lovely view. Just don't expect much from the staff or food ... you can buy your own quiches from the store!
My wife and I stayed here on our wedding night and for 3 subsequent nights. The staff was very helpful. We arrived and requested a private carriage on no notice and it was done. The room was clean and wonderful. The breakfasts were great as were the evening desserts and wine. I would and will return to this Inn.

We stayed at the Inn for 5 days. The Inn is absolutely beautiful, but it is the warm, welcoming staff that makes the stay remarkable. We felt cared for and pampered which is what a good Inn is all about. The home cooked breakfasts are spectacular, as are the wine, appetizers, coffee and deserts which are all served daily in the parlor or the porch. It was the vacation that I wished would never end.
the inn as well as the inn keepers are exceptional. you can feel the old south in every room of the inn. my husband and myself have stayed 4 times at forsyth park inn and each time our stay was great. the staff is very helpful in arranging excursions and dinner reservations. we highly recommend this inn if you want to enjoy the past...in the old south.
This is where me and my wife went on our honeymoon. It was nice and some of the employees went out of their way to serve us. Some were a little more difficult...
Other than that, it was a great stay. Watch out for the cat though; it likes to say hey.
The house is grand. Gourmet breakfasts and very comfortable rooms - perfect location - Ken and I have visited twice. Whenever in Savannah - we'll try to stay there!
