    We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dunham Farms. A highlight was the opportunity to walk around the property with one of the owners and learn so much about the history of this area The property was beautiful and peaceful.

    Beautiful location, friendly people

    Spent most of the evening in Savannah celebrating St. Patrick's Day, so we unfortunately did not get to enjoy Dunham Farms as much as we might have. But I can say that the staff bent over backwards to accomodate our late arrival time, offered us a late breakfast after all the other diners were finished, and when we declined, sent us on our way with a chunk of delicious Irish soda bread. We did get to spend some time that morning touring the grounds, and I can say without reservation that the location is beautiful. Watching the sun rise over the salt marsh was a memorable sight indeed. Recommended! Especially if you're visiting Savannah but would prefer to stay out of the fray in regards to accomodations.

    Dunham Farms is everything it claims to be and beyond. A historic, wonderful, peaceful atmosphere. Inn is cozy yet spacious, comfortable and tastefully arranged. Views, grounds and breakfast are amazing. Owners are lovely, prominent family with an impressive history.

    Dunham Farms is the perfect b'n'b in the Savannah Area. My girlfriend and I are huge star gazers and hikers. The trails at the Farms were very well kept, and sprawled out for miles. It is very close to the city and all the local islands. We were in love with the room. We were in love with the staff. They were all super nice and the breakfast... Worth it!!! Did not expect it to be that Amazing. THANK YOU!!

    Everything about this cozy, queen-sized room is upbeat. Blue and gold patchwork pillows and quilt are covering soft white linens on the beautiful brass bed. Oil paintings, interesting lamps and warm pine furniture are highlighted by a large country wardrobe cupboard made by a local craftsman. There is a brick-floored bath and a private outside door that opens into the side lawn and wooded trails. The view reaches across the side lawn to the ancient pecan orchard and to the river.

    Pecan Orchard

    A wood-beamed hall lined with prints and old nautical charts leads to this large, sunny room that can be either a king or twins. Much of the furniture is unusual, blue-washed barn wood. Other pieces are hand-crafted from pine, including the locally-made "deacon's chair." Brass beds, patchwork quilts, a large bath and a dressing area with lots of storage. This spacious room has an outside entrance and a lovely view of the pecan orchard, side lawn, trail head, the river, salt marshes and a tiny island (hammock) beyond.

    Named for its interior entryway salvaged from a Victorian home in Savannah, this room is a guest & staff favorite. A cozy writer's nook leads to the queen bedroom featuring rough barn beams. The room also has dressing area with a blanket chest & closet & a large bath. The main room has an antique brass queen bed, rustic quilt & hand-rubbed, painted or pine furniture. Windows on two sides of this corner room offer a double view of the river, oaks & marshes. A private outside entry leads to river bluff seating areas that are perfect for birding, moonrises &sunrises, reading or just goofing off.

    This charming, fresh green & white room is named for the indomitable small pony who once lived there. It has white iron twin beds that can be made into a roomy king, patchwork quilts, 'deacon's chairs' & green-washed, barn wood cupboards. The entry hall has an ample closet. The bath is completely handicap-accessible with a built-in shower seat, grab-bars & a wall-hung sink. A comfortable room with or without a wheelchair. The view incorporates an enormous oak, wound with wisteria, that showers the ground with lavender blossoms in spring. The farm animals graze & hang out in the nearby pasture.

    This tranquil, shaded green room is decorated with mahogany chests, twin post beds, country prints and eye-appealing linens of green, white and Battenberg lace. The bathroom and entry hall feature beams from the former barn, brick floors and an antique window. Barn wood corner cupboards display china. A desk, large table and chairs complete the room. The corner location offers two views of farm animals browsing in the ancient oak grove. Dogwood and wisteria offer stunning spring interest. The river is seen from one of the views.

    irca 1840, this cozy cottage is ideal for 2-4 people in the same party. It's also a perfect honeymoon hideaway. The sun and moon rise spectacularly from the river at your front door. Many species of endangered birds can be observed from here, or even closer by kayak. Meal service and maid service are not included, but can be arranged. A full kitchen, DSL, and in-room satellite TV are included.
