    Maison De L’Orb is one of the best old houses in Beziers overlooking the river where guests come to stay with us throughout the year. The house is unique in its character and differs somewhat from others in the surrounding area. We have guest areas with books to choose and relax with, art on the walls, one sociable dog, a lovely cool plunge pool and a garden of fruit trees. The bedrooms have good comfortable beds; the bathrooms are simple with good showers. We also prepare a truly fantastic breakfast. Our guests have informed us of the ambiance and the homely atmosphere that simply allows their imagination to go back into the past. The house also harnesses all the up to date modern technology such as WI-FI and full office services for the business traveler on the move. We are open all year so ideal for those who fancy a spring or autumabal getaway break when out of season. The bedrooms are simple with all facilities such as a proper hospitality tray with real milk. We use fruit from the garden when making our breakfast jams and preserves. Our garden overlooks Pont Vieux and is the best place to catch the sunset whilst enjoying a preamble drink. Dinner can also be prepared and cooked using local produce. Our guests stay awhile, read, chat and sleep well, and we watch their tension drop away. That makes us happy and that is why our guests return two or three times a year. We don’t pretend Maison De L’Orb is a hip boutique, nor are we a middle of the road boring hotel...but you will discover your own charm when you’ve arrived.

    Just Stayed - Excellent

    Just spent a few days in Beziers on route back to the USA from Spain. Beziers itself is an interesting place to visit, full of little nooks and sights and some great places to eat. We were recommended to stay at Maison De L'Orb by some friends who had stayed last year and were impressed by their welcome. We were also impressed by their welcome and the complimentary wine and cakes on offer. The bedrooms (we booked three) were excellent with good comfy beds, good bathroom facilities and ample storage for a few days stay. If staying for a week I would believe some people may struggle with storage on offer although this is perfectly normal for a small B & B especially bearing in mind the price (we paid 30€ per person per night). Breakfast was lovely, fresh coffee and pastries, lots of fruit, cheese and meats and yoghurts so enough for everybody - and there were refills. We were unable to stay for dinner although the smell of whatever was cooking was lovely. The house itself is lovely in character, lots of things to look at, books to read and objects to admire. If minimalist decor is your thing then Maison De L'Orb is definitely not your place. Despite this the place was clean. It was also lovely to meet other guests. Recommended and thank you for a lovely stay. Love to Oscar the dog! xx

    A Great Stay Thank You

    Thank you Mark & Ben for a lovely few days stay on our way home to Canada. You have a lovely home (albeit a bit difficult to find at first - our problem!) but it was worth it. You are both very talented hosts and have a lovely home which is totally quirky and individual. The bedroom was excellent with great views of your lovely garden and the river - lovely sunset and the sounds of ducks waking us up. The breakfast was outstanding - usually French B & Bs offer bread and cafe but you offered so much more and thank you for my soya milk! I would recommend to others having dinner with you which was excellent, generous portions and great wine. We are hoping to continue our European travels next year and if Beziers features on our Itinerary we shall we back. Merci! xx (Tracey and Bill Trent)

    Fantastic Place Thank You

    Visited July with partner for three nights. Great location and lovely welcoming hosts. Lovely wine on arrival and beautiful clean bedroom and bathroom. We spent one day in the garden as they have a pool (plus it was too hot to do anything) and Mark and Ben served us food and drinks in the garden. Breakfast was amazing with fruits, breads, pastries, REAL butter, juices and meats and cheeses. Will stay again.

You are strongly advised to take out travel insurance, which covers any financial loss resulting from unavoidable cancellation.

    Very Good

    Two night stay on way into Spain - Mark & Ben have really made their B &B welcoming and inviting with a lovely garden and pool (NOT mentioned when we booked) and a fantastic bedroom. For the price we didn't expect it to be this good with an excellent breakfast and a lovely lounge full of books. They both recommended some excellent places to eat and had lots of brochures. When we arrived Mark gave us some wine and home made cookies which was lovely. Would e book if we came back to this area.

    Great few days relaxing in garden and pool. Lovely clean bedroom with bonus extras which we didn't expect. Breakfast was outstanding. The house is unusual, not a typical B & B nor a hotel but with great hosts and impeccable service. Thank you.

    Just Returned - Lovely

    Thank you Mark and Ben for a wonderful weekend in Beziers. You really have a lovely homr by the river and hopefully we will be back very soon. The bedroom was lovely with clean bathroom and shower and the breakfast was amazing. Best part was sitting in the pool (unexpected!) and having a glass of chilled wine. Well done guys - amazing!

    The Best In Town

    Stayed May 2012, made to feel very welcome when we arrived with lovely home made cakes and drinks. Stayed three nights in a nice room overlooking garden. I liked the quaint old fashioned style of the house coupled with some nifty modern touches like free wifi and a lovely hot power shower. Was expecting a normal breakfast and was surprised by the quality and quantity on offer. Left very happy and already booked to return in September for longer as Mark & Ben are excellent hosts. RECOMMENDED
