  • Welcome to the Harrington House Beachfront Bed & Breakfast. From the left to right: Main Inn, Carriage House with the little cottage in front of it & behind it our new Bungalows. Then to the right of the Carriage House is the Dodt Beach House and the then Vista Grande Villa Condos (with orange roof). Harrington House has a lot to offer everyone!     Harrington House Beachfront Bed & Breakfast has been in business for 20+ years. Our sign says "Come as a guest, leave as a friend". We enjoy seeing our guests come back again and again!

    The Primrose room is located on the Second Floor of the Main Inn. You have a nice view of the Gulf of Mexico from the balcony.

    This room is located on a second floor level of the Carriage Beach House. You have a private patio looking out at the Gulf of Mexico, private bath and you can relax in your bed and look out three sliding glass doors and see the beautiful water.
    Huth Beach House: Built in the 1960's, this house was occupied by Dr. Huth, the first doctor on the island. We purchased the home from the Huth family 4 years ago and with them having a lot of history with the house, we kept the Huth name. The Huth House is just a short beach stroll away from our main inn where you will enjoy a full sit down breakfast each morning.
    Huth House #1: This room features a king size bed, two person shower in your private bath. You can lay in your bed and look at the fireplace and out over your patio to the Gulf of Mexico.
    Huth House #3: This room features a king size bed, two person shower in your private bath and a Jacuzzi. You can lay in your bed and look at the fireplace and out over your patio to the Gulf of Mexico.

    10th Wedding Anniversary

    A wondeful place to relax. My Wife and I got married here 10 yrs. ago. We stayed again in the Cottage . Looking out the patio doors at the Gazebo where we held the wedding sermony. Staff is very friendly, and the breakfast spoils one. Life slows down when around this place. Thanks for renewing memories. Thanks D. & D.

    A Perfect Spot

    We return year after year to this perfect spot on Holmes Beach because we love the comfortable elegance, the competent friendly staff, the delicious, varied breakfast, and , of course the beautiful beach. There are many places close by to visit on the occasional less than perfect beach day. Also must mention the friends we,ve made who also return year after year.

    Great Getaway!

    This was our second stay at the Harrington House, and we found it even more enchanting than our first visit. The staff can't do enough for you. You definitely are made to feel that you are a member of the family here. Full, fresh breakfasts by the gulf are wonderful. You can't beat the overall surroundings and hospitality that you get here.

    A Wonderful Time

    I decided to take a last minute trip. Most places were booked, but they had three nights available. I could not have stayed at a better place. I felt like I was staying with old friends. A fabulous breakfast watching the surf, what could be better? Well the sunsets were pretty good to. The staff was so friendly and met every need. The rooms were very nice and the bed was excellent. I wish they had more nights available because I would have stayed longer. I can’t wait to go back.

    I’m Ready to Move In

    Harrington House is a complex of buildings right on the beach. There are big differences between the layouts of the various accommodations. Nevertheless, all are well maintained in a lovely setting. The rates are high, but worth it. The breakfast is delicious and very complete. We stayed in Dodt House #2. It had 2 bedrooms and a surprisingly large living room and kitchen and dining room. The only thing to be aware of is that, since it is a collection of buildings, it is not a typical B&B. Usually you are in one house with just a few rooms. This complex has close to 20 rooms, so it feels more like a small, boutique hotel. The beach here is beautiful and Anna Maria Island is quite charming and low key with some very good restaurants. I will definitely return.

    AMI Florida winter getaway

    I first tried to book a cottage on Anna Maria Island, but found the experience frustrating because once charges were added in at the end the price went way up. At Harrington, I paid the nightly rate plus tax, no surprises. Location was very convenient, grounds were sparkling, the beach was fantastic, the service was impeccable, internet access was easy, and the breakfast was fabulous. We took advantage of their bikes and ocean kayak. We walked, biked, or took the trolley while on the island, only driving to Longboat Key and the mainland.
