Primrose Hill B&B is a new property built of the local pink Dulcote stone in a pretty valley down a private drive leading to Knowle Farm John and Patricia Davis own 57 acres which is part grazed by sheep and cattle. 17 acres are comprised of woodland and downland which in Spring become a carpet of primroses bluebells and other wild flowers ~ A natural haven for butterflies. Primrose Hill Bed & Breakfast is situated between Shepton Mallet the city of Wells and Glastonbury. We offer quality four star bed and breakfast and holiday accommodation in a comfortable warm and friendly environment with ample parking. We are central for many major attractions Wookey Hole Longleat and Bristol Zoo to keep the children happy. Haynes Motor Museum Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm Museum and Locking Helecopter Museum for the Dads. A bit of shopping therapy at Clarks Village for Mum. For the family Cheddar Gorge and caves you can try rock climbing and also go Bat watching how about a walk up Glastonbury Tor will blow the cobwebs away The Americain Museum gives you an insight of Cowboys and Indians SS Great Britain and visitor center at Bristol and The Bath & West Show Ground hold family orientated major shows and events most weekends. If you love history heritage and gardens then how about the mystic Glastonbury Abbey The Roman Baths at Bath Wells Cathedral and Bishops Palace. We also have many National Trust properties nearby `Stourhead' a beautiful17th century garden situated around a lake `Montacute House' and garden a magnificent Elizabethan stone built house `Tyntesfield House' and Estate a spectacular Victorian Gothic Revival and `Lytes Cary Manor' an intimate Tudor manor house with Arts & Crafts-style garden. How about Steam Trains we have the East Somerset Railway at Cranmore or The West Somerset Railway which is the official site of the longest Steam Heritage Railway in the UK connecting Minehead with Bishops Lydeard.

Cannards Grave Roundabout|Road|2.5|Take the Wells road turn immediately left (signed Highwayman Inn) follow this road round sharp right bend for approx 1 mile to second set of crossroads where you give way. Turn left towards Pilton and then 1st right down a narrow lane through a mucky farm yard to West Compton.Keep going to a T junction on a bend turn left for a few yards (between 2 walls) then next right passing large stone steps.Pass Rose Cottages on left continue few yards to grass triangle keep left to no through road.;Pilton|Road|1|In village you will see the Pilton Stores and Crown Inn. Take the small road between the two. Follow road for 1 mile over a set of cross roads and passed 'Burford' (3 large houses) After descending from steep hill you enter West Compton. Directly in front of you is a high wall on a bend turn left in front of West Compton House past Summer Lane Cottage and Rose Cottages on your Left continue a few yards to grass triangle keep left down no through road leading to Primrose Hill B&B on left.;Shepton Mallet|Road|3|Tesco roundabout. Take exit to Glastonbury B3136 to Lamberts Hill Crossroads straight over and down the hill for 200 yards first right down narrow lane to West Compton. Pass the Manor House on your right onto a junction on a bend. Give way and turn left between two high stone walls for a few yards to a blind bend where you turn right through the rest of the village for ¼ mile keep to the left side of the grass triangle down the ‘no through road’ and you will see our bungalow on the left.;Bristol Airport|Air|22|Hire a car. 45 mins drive Bus to Wells coach station then a taxi to Primrose Hill B&B;Castle Cary Station|Train|8.5|Best to get a taxi 15 mins drive. We are 1 mile from public transport.;
