Pelham Street

This was my first time in London so I wanted us to stay somewhere that was convenient but without doormen or elevators. I found Janey could offer us a room with a private entrance (her garden room) in the upscale South Kensington neighborhood, just a 5 minute walk from South Kensington tube station. She was extremely helpful prior to arriving with my myriad questions, emails back and forth. We chose the garden room because of the private entrance. It's on the ground floor, down a few steps to the left of the house main entrance. It has a glass door (with drapes) that gives light from the small private patio. It is just an ensuite bedroom but with an extremely comfortable king size bed, private well detailed small bath and complete quiet. Every day we would wander the city and return exhausted to find a fresh stock of bakery items, coffees, teas, fruit... Highly recommended.

Thank you for a wonderful stay in your beautiful home and city. We loved the courtyard room and the privacy and quiet that it offered. We made our breakfast at our own pace and at our own time. My daughter and I stayed with Paul & Janey in November and we had a fantastic time. The room was very nice, clean and cozy. The owners Paul & Janey were really friendly and they can give you good advise where to go and what to see and most of all tell you were to have a nice dinner (all on walking distance). The locationis perfect, just 2 minutes walk to the South Kensington underground. For sure we will come back and stay here. Michael & Immy Hoes

Notre séjour a été magnifique chez Janey et Paul. Rien à reprocher. Le milleur est le petit déjeuner et surtout le pain maison fait par Janey. Janey et Paul sont très discrets mais à l'écoute des invités. Janey est une source d'idées pour votre séjour. La chambre avec un lit super grand. Au niveau de la propreté, il n'y a rien à redire. La chambre d'hôte est située dans un quartier très agréable, central, très bien desservi par les transports en commun. Beaucoup de restaurant, de bar, de café, magasin, ... Quartier jeune. Maintenant si je retourne un jour à Londres et je pense assez souvent, je sais où je logerai. Bon séjour aux personnes qui choisirons cette chambre d'hôte.

My partner and I spent 3 nights here on a part work/part leisure visit from Sydney. I fully concur with all the reviews below. Janey made us feel so welcome and my partner and I had some great conversations with Janey and Paul. We'd be on our way out in the afternoon and would spend 20 minutes chatting to them - such an interesting couple. Of course, the room was gorgeous, shower had decent pressure (unlike the trickle you seem to get in most english showers) and the bed was ultra comfy. It was about 200m from a tube station which was great for us as we were often coming back to change between work and casual clothes (my partner was being called to the bar so there were a few late evening events). We wanted to stay longer but Janey was booked up. We'll definitly be staying there again (if there's room for us) when we return to London from Sydney again in the future.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for three nights while visiting London. Jane opened the door before we even knocked, and she was so lovely and welcoming. The house is beautiful, and is amazingly quiet, considering it's on a fairly busy street. Its location to the tube couldn't be more convenient, and we looked forward to coming back each night after long days of sightseeing to enjoy the luxurious down comforter on the bed. Breakfast was great, especially the croissants! But, by far, the best thing about staying here were our conversations with Jane. I will definitely try to stay here the next time I'm in London! In the huge, bustling, cultural melting pot of humanity that is London, it's lovely to return to a quiet place that feels like home, instead of an impersonal hotel.

The bedroom was smaller than it seemed in the pictures but it was clean and warm enough. Breakfast was very good and the location was perfect, just a 2-minute walk from South Kensington Underground Station. Good value for money.

The room and house was lovely, finished to a high standard. Great location, only 5 minutes from the tube. Breakfast was also very nice, the hosts couldn't do enough for us! Many thanks for a wonderful stay in your house

Jane is a wonderful hostess. Everything you read about the B&B is absolutely true! It's spacious, clean, and very comfy. A great value. I slept very well during my entire week stay. Whether you have your own bathroom or share, you will find everything you need. All bathrooms are upscale, spacious, and very clean. Jane will fill you up for breakfast and she really makes you feel at home. My favorite part was coming back after a long day for a rest before going back out for dinner as the bed was really soft and Jane left us tea and cake every afternoon. I would highly recommend this B&B for all of my family and friends and I will return when I stay in cental London.

Everything was perfact. The breakfast was "over the top". The bed and down cover made for three great nights sleep. I hope to be back some day.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pelham St. Jane is the perfect host. Whether you want to share your adventures for the day or you prefer your privacy. A lovely home to come back to at the end of each day. Definitely the highlight of our UK trip.

I brought my girlfriend to London for her birthday and wanted to have a special stay - our host certainly made us feel so welcome and the house was beautiful and very clean. Very central location, we walked everywhere. Best restaurants & bars. Great breakfast too and we will definitely be back for some Christmas shopping - Griggsy & Annie

We had an amazing holiday in London this year and we stayed at 55 Pelham Street, our host was lovely, very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was delicious and also served organic produce - so tasty, homebaked bread and home made preserves too ! will definitely come back next year!
