Well View

Well View sits above the town and all rooms have views either over the town to the hills beyond or to the wild open fells behind. Four Star rating from Visit Scotland, AA Five Star and 2 Rosettes for Food as well as acclaim from The Good Food Guide, and many others. We have three bedrooms are all individually decorated and furnished to the highest standard. All rooms are en suite and have colour television, tea and coffee making facilities. Many extra touches added. Larger rooms also have trouser presses. The town developed as a Spa in Victorian times and rapidly gained popularity as a tourist centre, which continues to today. The Well and the Bath House now the Town Hall still exist. Moffat is an excellent centre for visiting the Solway Coast, Border Abbeys or the Gardens and Stately Houses of the area. The small local museum gives an excellent insight into Moffat's earlier life. Local shops still reflect Moffat's Woollen Heritage, though modern times have brought a wide range of excellent specialist outlets including books, antiques, pottery and high quality gifts.
