    Our quiet rural setting at the edge of the village is the reason why many of our guests return year after year to enjoy the peace and tranquillity that the hotel has to offer. It is a place to unwind, relax and regenerate. Family-owned and run, The Grange prides itself on its friendly staff. The Grange is in the perfect position to explore Dorset, Somerset and historic Wessex. There are plenty of things for you to do during your stay with us: Stonehenge, Longleat Estate and Safari Park, Stourhead House and Gardens, shopping in Sherborne or Bath, horse riding, shooting and hot air ballooning, to name but a few, all are within easy reach of the hotel. If all of that sounds a little too much, how about sipping a glass of wine in the garden whilst reading a good book; or perhaps a stroll through the pretty village of Oborne where you can meet the village ducks waddling along the lane next to the stream? All this adds up to a wonderful location for business or pleasure, for that special family occasion or for the perfect wedding.       Waterloo Train Station|Train|115|The Grange Hotel can be reached by a direct train from London Waterloo Station to Sherborne in about 2 1/2 hours. Sherborne|Road|1.5|From Sherborne, follow the A30 towards Milborne Port and Shaftesbury. One mile out of Sherborne turn left at the Grange Hotel sign and you will find us half a mile along that road. A303 Wincanton exit|Road|9|The A303/A372 is the main route connecting the M3 to the M5. From either East or West, take the A303 to Wincanton. Then follow the B3145 south towards Sherborne. Ignore the first two left-hand turns signposted Oborne, but take the next left opposite the toll house. This turning has a brown sign: 'The Grange at Oborne'. Travel down this country lane for approximately one mile, the hotel is on the right-hand side.
