One of he Best!

We stayed three nights in early Sept; Innkeeper Keith is an amazing fellow and went out of his way to help us during an emergency and offered a better room at he same price. The Inn is charming and the breakfast fills you for the day and it is amazing. I encourage the off street parking which is very reasonable and the Metro is an easy walk, It's just a great place.

We wanted a quick little getaway and found th Mt. Vernon Square B&B online, such great reviews and great price point that we couldn't refuse. We were certainly not disappointed, the house was lovely and the owner Keith was very friendly. Breakfast each morning was beyond expectation in both its presentation and quality - so delicious. Make this a must on your next DC getaway!

We stayed over Labor Day weekend. A fantastic place. Great location. Just a few blocks from metro stop. Breakfast was amazing. Would highly recommend it. Do suggest getting the off street parking if you are driving in, as on street parking is very scarce.

This B&B was an unexpected great find. We will definitely stay here again. Our room
was clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was fabulous and more than
I could eat. Just a few blocks from the subway.

Keith is a great host and makes you feel part of the family. Breakfast is served 'Family Style' one long table with all the other guests where you get exchange stotes and experiences. The food is by far the biggest & best breakfast I have ever had, location for DC is ideal.
The Perfect Getaway
su novembre 22, 2013
Recently I surprised my husband for his birthday with a 1 night getaway to DC and decided to try a Bed and Breakfast for the first time. the location was perfect and we were located minutes from restaurants and local attractions. Keith (owner, host & chef) was absolutely amazing and greeted us at the door. He showed us to our rooms and gave us the grand tour. We stayed in the Terrace Room on the top floor. It was absolutely beautiful. The decor was amazing and the floor to ceiling mirrors were beautiful. In the morning we came down to breakfast at 8:30am. Breakfast was a variety of delicious dishes served family style and the conversation between the guests and Keith stayed interesting throughout. I am so thrilled I chose to stay here and we will definitely be back.
Last Minute Wedding at Mt. Vernon Square B&B
su novembre 06, 2013
I had planned my wedding reception at this B&B several months in advance and I was to be married at city hall(8 blocks from B&B) on October 4th. Keith was more than accomodating for the reception and the house was a beautiful backdrop. The facilties were perfect for what I had planned and more than ample for the 15-20 guest I had invited. When the big day rolled around, the Federal Governent had shut down and I had to find somewhere else for the ring ceremony. I decided what better place than the Mt. Vernon B&B at 400 M Street NW. Keith couldn't of been more than nice and the entire day was spent at 400 M. My mother and sister couldn't have asked for better accomodations for their stay in DC. Class act B&B. Thanks Keith! Great Value, Eclectic Location, Near to Everywhere & Metro
su luglio 08, 2013
The Mt Vernon Square B&B is worth the value you pay. Keith, the proprietor, is very friendly and helpful. The woodwork and marble in this B&B is amazing. There were some issues with the upkeep (visible work needed in one of the bathrooms, condensation visible in one of the A/C vents, loose door lock in the bedroom, etc.) but nothing major. The stained glass work is awesome. The neighborhood can be iffy at night due to loud vehicle traffic/radios and emergency sirens every few minutes but hey, it's D.C. 3 blocks from the Mt. Vernon/Convention Center Metro is a major plus. You could walk to the national mall/museums if you want but it is a good hike. Parking is scarce, you should pay the $10/night to park at the B&B. We did take a taxi downtown one night and it only cost $10/one way. Keith is a great cook. Breakfast was very tasty each day. Coffee was fresh and there is a large tea selection. Free Wifi & Wireless Printing is a bonus! Last minute booking is very discounted if you are a risk taker or last minute planner. The decor is a little aging in the bedrooms and doesn't have an obvious theme or anything extravagant. The king bed we stayed in was stiff but we're picky. DirecTV in the room was nice. Overall, you won't be disappointed in the VALUE!
