    Suono Reach, recentemente raccomandato in "The Unofficial Guide di Bed & Breakfast in New England" (MacMillan), sorge su una collina isolata che offre una veduta in lontananza di Long Island Sound nelle giornate limpide. I motivi del parco sono estremamente privati e non su strada è visibile dall'alto della nostra unità. Ci sono giardini perenni, un giardino di erbe, un ampio ponte con grandi vedute e una terrazza. Fitti boschi si trovano di là di noi e ci portano i visitatori frequenti come cervi e tacchini selvatici. La terra è piacere di un Birder s e fiori selvatici sono eccezionali. Piste da sci escursionismo/transnazionale-plurinazionali sono a pochi passi. Suono Reach è stato costruito nel 1968 da un team di tre generazioni della famiglia Bullard. L'esterno è fatto di tronchi di cedro e costruita intorno ad una porta la Bullards navigato su da Londra--un'antica porta quattro piedi largo con battitore testa di un leone di bronzo. L'interno è spazioso e scandinavi in atmosfera. Camere centrale sono due storie alte con lucernari e soffitti a cattedrale. Tutte le stanze nella casa hanno due esposizioni.     Home away from home. But better!

    I found this gem while looking for a place to stay in my old hometown to visit family. My son and I stayed in the room with two twin beds, and were pleasantly surprised to find out that half of the house was ours--Pam said she only rents out one room at a time, so no one has to worry about shared bathrooms. We had room to stretch out and enjoy coffee in the living room while working on our laptops. Pam and Larry made sure coffee was ready for me upon my early awakening. I so enjoyed taking the coffee out to deck and enjoy a cool morning sunrise from the east, with the views of Long Island in the distance to the south. The absolute forest silence giving way to birds tweeting was something you simply won't find in a hotel! The breakfasts were simple and delicious, and the conversation with Pam and Larry was a nice bonus. Two very interesting people with stories to tell. We will absolutely be back.

    A lovely, quiet, comfortable place to stay. Pam and Larry are warm, welcoming hosts. We felt so well-cared-for were sorry to leave and my husband and I look forward to returning to Sound Reach when we are back again in the area.

    Quiet & Relaxing

    Sound Reach is a very pleasant surprise, so relaxing and quiet high on the hill overlooking the canopy of trees with a view all the way to Long Island Sound but close enough to all attractions and highways. We enjoyed the lovely woods and trails and gardens and the rooms were beautiful. And the breakfasts were worth the price alone! Will definitely be going back.

    Just when I didn’t think I could find an affordable B&B, I was delighted to discover Sound Reach while on a trip to visit family & friends this spring. It is close to the best of the shoreline, but off the beaten path enough for enjoying some quiet time. Pam and Larry were lovely hosts, breakfasts were the fresh, healthy fare I crave, and the room was comfortably furnished with a light, airy touch. And nothing can beat waking up to the sound of the birds in their lush, green setting in the Connecticut woods. I’ve already recommended it to friends and am looking forward to my next visit this fall!

    Home away from home. But better!

    I found this gem while looking for a place to stay in my old hometown to visit family.     Sound Reach--dreamy comfort

    This bnb remains one of my husband's and my favorite places to stay. We always ask for the room with twin beds so we can "pretend" we see the Sound from there--actually I think you can almost do so. Just our kind of place, woodsy, comfy chairs, excellent library, beautiful garden, friendly dog (hosts also a lot of fun), scrumptious breakfasts. During a cross-country move we ended up staying there a week one time, and we were always made to feel as if we were home already.

    Peaceful place to stay

    This is a wonderfully peaceful spot, very quiet. It is just a sublime pocket of hospitality in the woods. Conservation land is the backyard of the b&b and a pretty walking path is right out the back door.

    Gracious Hospitality

    The setting and the house are just as described, the view from the deck enchanting. Pam & Larry are such gracious hosts. We enjoyed roaming the woods behind their house. We really liked being close enough to sites and attractions, while coming 'home' to the remote, relaxing setting in the countryside. The room was very comfortable, the breakfasts excellent. We hope to make a return visit.

County Road, svoltate a sinistra. Rimanere sulla contea solo.1 miglio e girate a destra per Natale Hill Road. La nostra è la strada a sinistra della cassetta postale gialla luminosa che dice 50. Andare fino alla cima.

      Prendere I-91 South Route 9 s. all'uscita 13 che vi porterà alla route 17 (verso New Haven). Prendere via 17 route 77 fino a vedere un segno che dice Guilford. Una volta che si attraversa la linea di Guilford, continuare sulla strada 77 per 5,5 km e svoltare a destra sulla County Road (cerca attentamente la deviazione dopo aver visto un segno per la Chiesa). Vai.6 miglia fino a un segnale di stop 4-way. Proseguire per miglio.1 e poi girate a destra per Natale Hill Road. La nostra è la strada a sinistra della cassetta postale che dice 50. Andare fino alla cima.
