  • This 1888 Italianate Cottage has graced Old Escondido high on a hill for the last 123 years. We are in a quiet setting overlooking the valley and city, great for nature walks or a quiet moment relaxing away from the hustle of daily life. Our side porch has a ceiling fan to give a gentle breeze on those warm California afternoons.
    The Rose and Silver Bedroom with comfortable Queen bed, side table, mirrored dresser and authentic armoire to provide a serene setting for sleep. Duel control electric blanket provides a cozy nights sleep. Each room has a ceiling fan and light fixture.

    Reggie, our 6 foot carved eagle welcomes you to our side porch, all decked out for Christmas.
    Our Black and Gold Bedroom which has an elegant look with a delux Queen Mattress, a large chest of drawers, and a 36" HD TV. This front bedroom has it's own porch to enjoy the beautiful California nights or have your coffee rocking on the swing, looking out over Escondido.
    Regina del Palazzo is the new name for the Old Escondido Bed and Breakfast, which has two main bedrooms, a dining room, living room and private bath for our visiitors. We will be having a separate guest house which we call the Tuscan Villa and visitors with dogs may use this residence for their stay. It will have a living/dining area, master bedroom and private bath with tub/shower availability. Hopefully by the end of January '13.
    Relax in our elegant living room and enjoy the beautiful antiques, wide book selection and choice of movies if you feel like settling in on a rainy day or chilly night. A great way to escape.
    Just for the girls, but you men can enjoy your lady's bathroom boudoire, we won't tell, and if you need a man's cave, I'll change the decor to suit the manly fashion.

    Tranquillo rifugio costruito nel 1888, situato nel distretto storico di Escondido è stato restaurato e suo ' fascino originale e arredate con mobili antichi confortevole. A pochi passi dal centro di ristoranti, California Center for the Arts, negozi e attrazioni. 15 minuti per i corsi di golf di San Diego Wild Animal Park e campionato. 30 minuti di bellissime spiagge del sud della California e locali Indian Casinos. 40 minuti al famoso Zoo di San Diego e Sea World. Sala TV privata, salotto e persino un portico anteriore swing. Venite a fare i ricordi in the Old Escondido Bed and breakfast.

    Outstanding service!

    My family has been looking for a short (one day short) vacation to get away and have found it in the Regina Del Palazzo. The place is thoughtfully decorated with Victorian area pieces and invites to you to forget the modern day. Whether one decides to spend there time indoors or outside on the patio the friendly atmosphere created by the owners Suzy and Don will relax any traveller. Suzy is an amazing cook and Don is an excellent helper, and together they take a great effort to please any picky eater who comes trough their doors. For our family they have created the most elaborate breakfast that I've seen recently. It included home-made waffles, individual omelets, hush browns, a delicious home-made fruit compote made from scratch, brioche toasts and several types of fresh berries. And of course, a great variety of different coffees and teas that are made in minutes by the Keurig machine. My family was pleasantly impressed by the welcoming accommodations and we will definitely plan to come back for a longer stay.

    Charming, cozy B&B

    Very charming Victorian Home. Lovely well decorated bedrooms with very comfortable beds. Owners are friendly, have suggestions for sight seeing, and provide what ever assistance I needed for my stay. Food was well prepared and tailored to my taste. Lovely sitting room, porch and patio areas available. There is also a separate guest house providing even more privacy.

    5 stars to Suzy & Don, the gracious new owners of Regina Del Palazzo. I thoroughly enjoyed a recent visit to their B&B and felt pampered as they catered to my every need. Suzy is an excellent cook and happily accommodated my food preferences. Delicious breakfasts included omelets, waffles, home-made granola, fruit, juice and muffins. Their Keurig coffee maker was fun to use to make an individual cup of coffee whenever I wanted. Tea & hot chocolate were also available and they were the perfect accompaniment to the plate of cookies Suzy set out each afternoon. The B&B is filled with antiques & located in a beautifully restored home built in 1888 that's listed on the historic register. It's cozy, comfortable, clean and quiet. The neighborhood includes many other historic homes and was a great place to take my early morning walks. I look forward to returning to Regina Del Palazzo on my next visit to Escondido and soaking in the hot tub they plan to install.
