    Bay room with a bay window and table for two, queen bed, closet, heated floors, ironing board, whirlpool bath tub, cotton robes, and plenty of sunshine!
    Common room with TV, DVD, cable, books, games, guide books, fireplace, arm chair, sofa, sunlight, WiFi, shared by Bay and Carnelian rooms!
    The breakfast are is adjacent to views of North Lake Tahoe Carnelian Bay from the seating are, living room. Open format to the kitchen as well, books, guides, games, fireplace, telescope, guest fridge with wine and juice.
    Breakfast is always served with your choice of coffee or tea, juice, water, toast, fresh fruit, eggs the way you like it and locally sourced tasty breakfast meats.

    Excellent place to stay

    We have stayed here once before and looked forward to going back. I really enjoy the fireplace in the room and the friendly owner who cooked us breakfast the following morning. We will be back.

    Perfectly quiet and convienent

    Lovely and rustic, for us ideally situated in north lake area. Comfortable beds and rooms. Great common guest area with fridge etc. And best of all, a great host in Bill.

    Our stay was outstanding!!! Amy was a amazing cook and extremely friendly!!! The rooms were very clean and met our expectations!! The veiw of the lake was amazing from the great room!!! Would deffinetly stay here again!!!!

    What a Trreat!

    We hadn't been to Tahoe in quite some time, and this was the perfect way to get us hooked into coming back. Bill is a wonderful host, and Amy cooked us a great breakfast of luscious french toast, sausage, fruit and OJ. Sitting enjoying breakfast with the two of them was like being among friends. They were wonderful to talk to and they take great pains to make sure the place is spotless! We stayed in the Aspen Room. The king-sized bed and sitting areas were wonderful, and the walk-in shower made for a geat place to unwind. We would not hesitate to recommend the Shooting Star to others.

    My wife and enjoyed a delightful, comfortable 2 night stay at the Shooting Star. The Carnelian room was very comfortable and well furnished, and was on the ground floor. Wine time in the yard and then in the upstairs reading room was great. Aimee was a gracious hostess and a good cook. Breakfasts were awesome. We also enjoyed being able to walk to Garwoods for dinner. Thank you Aimee for making our stay so enjoyable.
