    We did not expect much, but we really loved this place! We chose this hotel because it is just a bit away from the main crowd and has its own beach that does not get so crowded. Still you are only 20 minute walk from the heart of action. The rooms are spacious, service excellent, and it is beachfront! Their restaurant has outstanding beach view and it is air conditioned! It looks like they build several new ocean front suites with private jaccuzzi, but we could not stay there as it was still being painted. We really liked Cabo Frio overall. This is where all Cariocas (people from Rio de Janeiro) spend their vacations. Forget Buzios, Cabo Frio is the place to be! The beaches here are infinetly better, the prices are way cheper it is not so crowded as Buzios. Praia do Forte is an exception, it gets really crowded in January.

The rooms are spacious, service excellent, price REALLY cheap, and it is beachfront! We really liked Cabo Frio overall. This is where all Cariocas (people from Rio de Janeiro) spend their vacations. Forget Buzios, Cabo Frio is the place to be! The beaches here are infinetly better, the prices are way cheper it is not so crowded as Buzios. Praia do Forte is an exception, we could not get to the water because of the crowd on Sunday...

    Sem duvidas e melhor lugar para ficar em Cabo Frio!!! Esta na praia, literalmente pé na areia, nos ficamos encantados com esta praia! A pousada e os quartos bem cuidados, piscina, sauna, bar, quarto bem maior do que esperamos, ainda com ar, frigobar, adoramos os redes na varanda!!! E ainda era mais barato do que as espeluncas na cidade!!! As diferencias mais importantes dessa pousada: água limpa nas torneiras (os vizinhos todos oferecem água fedorenta de poço) e palmeiras lindas na beira da praia! Vamos voltar no final do julho para ficar aqui por 2 semanas!

    Fantastic experience with outstanding beach (right in front of hotel). Far enough away from town to avoid crowds on street and beah and close enough to enjoy a taxi ride to most attractions and any additional cruises or trips. Casual and extreemely friendly staff and Innkeepers. We were delighted with our visit and would certainly be coming back.

    We loved the beach!!! It is really like the postcard, no kidding! There is no comparison with Buzios or Copacabana. We almost missed this hotel as we were looking for rose as on their picture. It looks recently repainted and it is all sky blue now outside. It rained during the first 2 nights, but durung the day it was perfect beach weather. Wear plenty of sunscreen, the sun here is HOT! The room was larger than we expected, simple, but comfortable and clean. It had a second deck in the back it was really perfect for storing and drying our scuba equipment. We loved the people and the diving was excellent. We will be back here for sure! Next time we plan on staying here for longer and skipping Buzios and Rio.
