"My husband and I stayed for four nights in the Sabino Room at Azure Gate and enjoyed every minute of our visit. We arrived with little time before hand to plan our outings, and Christine was ready with advice, as we walked through the gate, with tour guides and field guides, a binder of printed directions to things, recommendations for meals and hikes, and advice on how not to get pricked by a cactus or surprise a mountain lion! Breakfast every morning was delicious and nutritious and enough to keep us going all day with nothing but a granola bar and fruit from the snack counter. The location is excellent for visiting great sites like Saguaro National Park, Sabino Canyon, and not too far from San Xavier Del Bac Church, and downtown Tucson. Our fellow visitors at the breakfast table were knowledgeable, interesting and friendly, and had all returned to the inn for many years in a row, which was easy to understand. The home and grounds are quirky and wonderful. Our room shared a library with another filled with books and movie dvds to borrow. At breakfast you watch hummingbirds and woodpeckers in the garden from the dining table, and in the early morning you can hear the cayotes howl.
