This amazing 1830s home has historic architectural charm with modern conveniences. Location is great - we walked everywhere. Aline and Alain were the perfect knowledgeable hosts, taking time to give a house tour, explaining the city areas, calling taxis and making food recommendations. Every morning we enjoyed a leisurely breakfast with our hosts which included homemade breads, pastries, jams and cake, local cheeses and meats, fruit, yogurt, fresh juice, good coffee and teas.

My husband, my daughter and I stayed at this wonderful place in June, for four nights. We had the suite on the top floor. We have rarely seen such attention to detail, either in the beautifully decorated rooms or in the thoroughly modern bathroom. Alain and Aline are a generous couple, which can be seen both in the rooms and at the delicious breakfast table. Their conversation and suggestions about places to visit in Brussels are a big bonus, and make you feel absolutely at home. No doubt we'll stay here again when we come back!
This was my very first experience with a Bed & Breakfast, so I didn’t know what to expect. I arrived to this B&B after losing a flight and spending a whole day in Atlanta and having to work my first day in Brussels directly from the airport. Needless to say, I was very tired when I arrived. The first thing that impressed me was how beautiful the building was; high ceilings, very tasteful antique furniture and a beautiful staircase. It really felt like you were entering in the house of a Flemish lord. The second thing that left a strong impression was how nice and accommodating were the innkeepers. They showed me my beautiful and very big room and then they invited me for an aperitif (Finger foods and Spanish Champagne before dinner!!) with them and the other guest. They were a lot of fun and they helped me forget in two seconds the horrible trip I had had so far.
I stayed there two nights and the bed was comfortable, the room and bathroom were extremely clean and both nights the owners helped me make dinner arrangements and made sure that I had all I needed.
Although, I must say that the most impressive and, I daresay, extraordinary part of my stay was the wonderful breakfast. Freshly baked bread, several different types of croissants filled with succulent cream and chocolate, homemade hazelnut and chocolate spread, ham and cheese (the real stuff!), made me feel like all the troubles I went through to arrive to the Brussels’ Guest Home were more than worth it. The only thing I was sad about was that I didn’t have enough space in my stomach to try everything!
As far as the location, I was able to walk down to the main square in less than 10 minutes. If you are looking to spend a good and relaxing time in Brussels, this is the place to go. I, for one, know that I will be back!
Thank you again for everything!
I came to Brussels for business, but brought my family with me, and Alain and Aline were so accommodating! The way they welcomed us felt like we were staying with family. We stayed in the room on the ground floor with a kitchenette, and it was the perfect home base for all of our activities. Alain thought of/took care of a lot of the small details we hadn't worried about for the business trip, and it made everything go smoothly and stress-free. The house and rooms are great, but the hosts are greater.
I could not have been happier with our stay at the Brussels Guesthouse. We were visiting for an Expo in town and had some bad luck with the organizers of the show. If it wasn't for the Innkeepers amazing hospitality it would not have been possible for us to have such a great experience. I would recommend this B&B to anyone visiting the Brussels area. It is close to the Metro and a short walk to Grand Place.
I stayed here for a conference in Brussels, and wish I could have spent more time at the B&B. The hosts were more than accommodating - they had breakfast ready at the time we requested, they arranged taxis for us, make homemade chocolate and bread....it was wonderful! I have a food allergy and they went to the store to buy food especially for me! The bathrooms are huge, the beds are SO comfortable, and the rooms are tastefully decorated. Wi-fi, too! There is a coutyard outside where they eat when it's warm, so the only bad thing is that we weren't there during warm weather.

Stayed here recently and was impressed with how clean and big the rooms were for such a centrally located and convenient place. We were a couple of blocks from the Botanical Gardens and the subway/train, there were places to grab a bite or pick up something right out the door and it was a nice 10-15 minute walk to the Grand Plaza.
The innkeepers were very helpful and nice an while the breakfast was too European for my tastes (give me eggs), the home made chocolate spread (think "Nutella" but way better) was awesome!
5 of us stayed at the Brussels Guesthouse on a recent business trip to Belgium. The rooms were perfectly setup so that after a long day of business we could relax and enjoy a cup of tea or continue working at the in room desk. The hosts were more than accomodating and helped us work with a local printer when we realized some of our materials hadn't arrived. I can not say enough good things about this property and I would recommend to both the business and leisure traveller alike.
Alain and Aline are friendly and helpful hosts, happy to help you enjoy your visit to Brussels. Tasty breakfast of yogurt, delicious jams and chocolate spread, fresh-baked breads and pastries. Guest rooms and bathrooms are comfortable, clean, and spacious -- my bathroom alone was about twice the size of my entire room and bath of the last B&B I stayed in while in London. The rates are very reasonable for the quality of the experience, so I didn't mind a bit that Alain encourages conservation of heat and light. Lighting in my room was perfect for reading, relaxing, and working, and the free wi-fi worked perfectly. Convenient location, with excellent restaurants just steps away.
I recently stayed in this B&B and these are my comments:
It is a beautiful house and the parking is a definitely an advantage.
The bedroom was huge and tastefully decorated.
The house is exceptionally clean.
Breakfast room is beautiful and the buffet has everything you need. Aline's chocolate spread and home made jams are excellent.
What I did not like:
Alain is very particular about certain things and when you arrive it gives you the feeling that you can't do much
Don't leave the lights on
Don't turn the heating on more than on setting No 3
Don't eat in the room
You have to say at what time you are planning to come down for breakfast. When I am on holiday I don't really want to have to get up at a particular time.
I did not get the chance to see any more than my room and the breakfast room. I did ask to see the garden but that request fell on deaf ears....
I enjoyed my stay because the bedroom and bathroom are very big and it was convenient and easy to get to the Grande Place but if you don't like the proprietors sitting with you at breakfast it might put you off.
Tucked away behind a typical Brussels house front is a lovely renovated house with an amazing (weather permitting) courtyard come breakfast area. Very nice. Accommodation had everything you could need. I had the basement suite. Completely self contained. Home from home.

This B&B, convenient to the metro, near downtown, and with a parking spot available if requested, met my needs very well. The room was large and very nice, with private entry. Owners were hospitable and helpful with directions, city sites, and discussion of Euro 2008.
