"Neither my wife nor I had ever stayed in a B&B before, so we didn't really know what to expect. Nevertheless, our stay couldn't have been more enjoyable -- and Sandy is an absolutely delightful soul! Both my wife and I have travelled extensively on business; I've spent more than 7 years on the road as a consultant. We've stayed in hotels from Manhattan to San Diego -- and numerous places in between -- and neither of us can remember a more satisfying on-the-road lodging experience. Despite a spur-of-the-moment schedule change, Sandy enthusiastically accommodated both a day early arrival and made dinner reservations for us at a local restaurant located in a town of less than 1,000. The food there compared better than favorably with restaurants' fare we've eaten in cities such as Las Vegas, New York and San Diego -- and at far lower cost! If you want quality, comfortable lodging in Southern Illinois -- with unique, plentiful and tasty breakfasts the following mornings -- we don't believe you'll find better sleeping, customer service and breakfast experiences than the Timmermann House provides.
