Almost Home Accommodations

Everything was fine except the wifi did not work. Also breakfast was only some muffins and cereal. Whatever happened to a real breakfast?

Laurie Coates was wonderful. She gave us so many options on our stay. We all loved our stay here. Beautiful.

6 years ago I visited with my wife. We loved the accomodations. I think this time around the home started to show its age and wear a bit. Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay with a very nice host.

We're glad you enjoyed your stay! And yes, the buildings needed a face lift so we have been restaining and painting this summer. The cabin is now done and the main house will be complete shortly and it looks fresh and new again! We appreciate your patience with our mess while we accomplished this!

We rented both of the "cabins" for 4 nights in July, 2012. Laurie was very friendly and helpful. We loved the location because out of the downtown area - quiet. Moose walking right off our deck each night. View of spit and bay are incredible. Very clean, very spacious. Would highly recommed.

At home in Homer! Comfortable, peaceful and relaxing place to stay. The pictures and description on line are accurate. Lauire was very helpful with suggestions for restaurants and kayaking. Our family really enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again.

Great place for our 1 and 4 year old grandchildren who loved the kid sized furniture!

I found Almost Home Accommodations on line and was skeptical in booking. It exceeded our expectations. Laurie is such a sweet fun lady and friend. We will sure go back, our next visit to Alaska. My only regret is that I wish we would have stayed longer.

Had a great trip to Homer and staying at Almost Home B&B in the upstairs unit. Big windows and pretty view. Even saw some moose outside our door one morning. Very easy to coordinate, Laurie was very helpful and responsive.

Beautiful views of waterfront from high above. From the second we walked in the door, I felt at home. Sightseeing is unbelievable, moose along the sides of the roads, to eagles in the air & nest. Very relaxing.

My family of 3 stayed in the Eagle View for 2 nights. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect view! I was surprisingly pleased with how clean everything was, and the hospitality we received was a pleasant addition to our stay!

I really enjoyed my stay! I just wished I could have went deep sea fishing. I'm planing on coming back in the summer with my family this time. God Bless RJ

We loved staying in the Eagle's View cabin. It was like having our own little two bedroom apartment (minus the stove). Everything was nice and clean and we had a great time staying there! The only thing I could have asked for was blackout shades and curtains in the bedrooms. That would have made it outstanding!

A great facility for a large family group traveling together. Beautiful setting and cabin. Would have been helpful to have napkins in the kitchen and some Kleenex in the bedrooms or bath.

This is a great bed and breakfast that we like returning to! The rooms are very comfortable and the view is awesome! The fishing charter is great also! We were able to fill our fishing limits and we had lots of fun with the crew!!

We will stay again when we visit Alaska. The rooms were clean and the buildings and grounds were so nice. It is a great place to stay and we were very satisfied

Enjoyed our stay. Nice setting and close in to town. More like our own little home instead of a rented room. Coffee pot did not work but we were able to get coffee from the main house. Our paperwork did not give the correct name of the B&B so was hard to find at first. I would stay there any time I needed a place in Homer.

The view was great, along with the rooms and the place overall. But there was room for improvement. The futons were very comfortable.... but the blankets for them were itchy and very rough. Those need to be replaced. The other blankets on the beds were fine though. Also, you are given one roll of toliet paper a day (in the bathroom), and when you have eight people..... you need more. There should be more stashed in the bathroom next to the towels... it's one of those things thats too awkward to ask for more. Also, The dishes didn't match.... I would rather have less dishes that all match. or even paper products over a mismatch set. (it would not cost much to do this). The chairs were loose, and needed a bit of wood glue. But overall, I would stay again, and the place had a amazing view!!

Great spot for a family getaway! We had everything we needed and a few little "extras". This is the perfect place for a couples or family vacation. We will come again!

We stayed at this great cabin, Laurie's baked goods were delicious! We loved fishing with Capt. Mike on the SeaWitch, lots of nice sized fish and lots of laughs! We're very happy with our choice and can't wait to go back!

This b&b delivers the type of Alaska experience that the pamphlets offer but infrequently deliver. We had the availability of the fishing/tourist Homer Spit, then we could come back to lovely accomadations with a wonderful view.
