Baked French Toast

Ingredienti

  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans, toasted
  • 10 1 inch thick slices French bread
  • 4 eggs,beaten
  • 1 3/4 cup milk

  1. Stir together butter and syrup. Pour into 3 quart baking dish. Sprinkle one fourth of a cup of the pecans over butter mixture. Arrange bread slices in a single layer on top of the nuts.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine eggs & milk. Pour over bread. Sprinkle with remaining pecans. Cover & refrigerate 2-12 hours.
  3. Remove cover and bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until center appears set & top is lightly browned. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
  4. Serve with sliced bananas & strawberries and or maple syrup. May be sweetened with honey or brown sugar or topped with any fruit you like. Enjoy!
