Stuffed French Toast

Ingredienti

  • 8 thick slices of hand cut bread
  • 1/4 cup preserves of your choice - strawberry, apricot, etc.
  • 6 oz cream cheese
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

  1. Slice the top of each piece of bread and fill the opening with 1 Tablespoon of preserves and 1/8 of the cream cheese.
  2. Place in a well greased 9”x13” glass baking dish.
  3. Blend the eggs, milk, butter and syrup together.
  4. Pour mixture over the bread and refrigerate overnight.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes and brown on the top. Serve with warmed syrup and preserves.
