Super-de-duper Moist Sour Cream Coffee Cake Recipe: Breakfast-Brunch
Prep time:30 minutes
1 cup butter, softened
2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 cup cake flour
1 1/2 cup sour cream
Cream butter, sugar & eggs. Fold in sour cream and pure vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients. Spoon half of batter into greased 9 inch-round cake pan
Cover with 3/4 of this filling: 1 cup chopped walnuts, 1 1/2 t. cinnamon 3/4 c. brown sugar
Spoon remaining batter over cinnamon-nut filling. Top again with remaining cinnamon-nut filling. Bake about 45 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.
This coffeecake is extra delicious warmed with butter!
