snowflake baked French toast

  1. In a 9x13 inch pan melt one cube (one half cup) butter in microwave for 1 minute. Add one half cup maple syrup. Stir to mix.
  2. Place 8 slices of soft crusted French bread in the pan on top of the butter/syrup mixture.
  3. In a small bowl beat together one half cup half and half and 3 large eggs. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the slices of French toast. Cover and refrigerate over night.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle powdered sugar to form a snow flake pattern. Serve with warm maple syrup of chokecherry syrup.
