Ingredienti

  • 20-25 Slice Cumcumbers
  • 2 cup Lime
  • 8 quart Water
  • 1 Bottle Red Food Coloring
  • 1 cup White Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Alum
  • 2 cups Vinegar
  • 2 cups Water
  • 10 cups Sugar
  • 10 Sticks Cinnamon Sticks
  • 8 oz bag Red Hot Candies

  1. Slice 20-25 cucumbers, mix 2 cups Lime, 8 quarts Water, pour over Cucumbers and let stand 24 hours. Drain and rinse well.
  2. Simmer cucumbers in the following for two hours and then drain: 1 bottle Red Food Coloring, 1 cup White Vinegar, 1 tbsp Alum
  3. Make syrup of the following and pour over pickles and let stand overnight: 2 cups Vinegar, 2 cups Water, 10 cups Sugar, 10 Cinnamon Sticks, 1 - 8oz package Red Hots
  4. Drain and reheat syrup and pour over pickles, let stand overnight.
  5. Drain and reheat syrup then pack pickles in jars and pour syrup over. Seal
