Apple Croissants: Breakfast-Brunch

Servings: 4

Ingredients:

  • 4 Firm apples (a Granny Smith)

  • 1/4 cup Butter

  • 1/4 cup White sugar

  • 1/4 cup Maple Syrup

  • 1/4 tablespoon Cinnamon

  • 4 Croissants cut lengthwide

  • 1 1/2 cups Milk

  • 3 Eggs

Step 1:

Melt butter and sugar together and cook for 2 minutes in a large frying pan. Stir in cinnamon.

Step 2:

Add apples and maple syrup and cook until tender (about 20 min)

Step 3:

Whisk together milk and eggs in bowl. Dip croissant pieces in milk and egg mixture, then cook on pre-sprayed griddle until golden brown.

Step 4:

To serve place a croissant half on each of four plates. Top with apple mixture. Cover with remaining croissant pieces and dust with icing sugar.
