Ingredients:
1 cup molasses

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 eggs, beaten

1 cup hot water
-
1 teaspoon baking soda, dissolved in hot water

2 cups flour
-
1/3 cup shortening
-
3/4 cup brown sugar
-
2 8" pie shells
Step 1:
Mix first 5 ingredients together adding baking soda last. Pour into pie shell.
Step 2:
Mix crumbs together (flour, shortening & brown sugar) with hands and sprinkle on top.
Step 3:
Bake at 400 for 10 minutes, then 350 for 50 minutes.
