Apple-Craisin French Toast

Ingredienti

  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 2 tablespoons Corn syrup, maple syrup OR honey
  • 2 each Baking apples, peeled & sliced (Granny Smith are good)
  • 1/2 cup Craisins (dried cranberries)
  • 5 each eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 loaf French Bread, cut in 1" slices
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

  1. 1 medium mixing bowl 9x13 baking pan (metal) Baking time: 45 minutes Baking temp. 350
  2. Cook the brown sugar, butter and syrup in a small pan on top of the stove untill smooth. Pour into a 9x13 baking pan. Spread apples slices and craisins over the syrup. Place the bread on top of the apples and craisins.
  3. Beat together eggs, milk and vanilla. Pour over the bread slices. Dust the top of bread with cinnamon.
  4. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  5. Bake uncovered for 45 minutes at 350. Cut and serve and top with apples, craisins and syrup from pan. Many times I turn the bread over when serving. Enjoy, my guests sure do!
