The Artist's House, a semi-attached unit, is located in Neve Yosef, Eastern Haifa. It is located in a neighbourhood that was built by the British during the Mandate, for officers from the Jewish Brigade. We are pleased to announce that the Artist’s House has received a certificate from the IBB project of the Israeli Ministry of Tourism. IBB classification system examines about 140 various criteria in accordance with international standards: quality, service, truth in advertising and availability in the bed and breakfasts industry. When possible we offer a pick-up service from the train/bus station. The house is built on the slopes of the Carmel, overlooking the bay of Haifa and has a hall, small kitchen, bathroom and living/sleeping room. The living room is cosy and has the feeling of a real home with a library and art works giving it a welcoming atmosphere. A short lane leads to the little house that is situated in a quiet area, amongst trees on the Carmel Mount. Although there is a country atmosphere about the place, you will be living in the middle of the city, close to good transport systems and easy access to great beaches, two major university campuses and shopping centres. Our best advertise is that our guests return to us! The price includes cleaning.

Ulrich, April 2014 Please know: My mother tongue is German, so I can't be as accurate in English as I would like to be. - The innkeepers are nice people, always helpful. Mails were answered immediately. We were picked us up at the bus station. When we arrived we were invited to a drink in their private home next door. Breakfast and other meals are not included, but Janet had filled the refrigerator with food for the next morning. Very helpful, as we didn't have to go shopping immediately. My wife and me are especially thankful that Janet and her husband shared some of their visions and community work with us, as we are both involved in similar fields.- Haifa is built on the slopes of Mt. Carmel, and the small Artist's House, in fact not larger than an apartment, overlooks the bay. It's not a loud place, although there are many roads and industrial places on the plain. - The house has a fully equipped small kitchen which allows to cook your meals. If you stay there, you don't have to go out eating. Two smaller grocery shops are close by (at the bus station, q.v.). The bathroom is large, well equipped and well kept. Janet puts a lot of towels there, she wants people to feel comfortable. The Artist's House and their home are built wall to wall, there is a door between them and you can knock to avoid walking out and in again. There is not a 100% sound separation, but these people are older, not at all noisy. Everything seems very relaxed. A positive surprise was the also tv. Wonderful image quality, and you get all the channels the innkeepers' provider offers. - The access to public transport is easy, you just walk down 5 minutes and there is a bus stop with many bus lines. - We had booked a few nights, in the end we stayed nearly a week. This was just a perfect base for exploring the north and even northeast of Israel. We can recommend it 100%.

The Gino accommodation (Haifa) was as we hoped, privacy with comfort and a place of peace and quiet to return to after hectic hours of discovering and exploring Hebrew history, which made a pefect holiday.
