Ulrich, April 2014 Please know: My mother tongue is German, so I can't be as accurate in English as I would like to be. - The innkeepers are nice people, always helpful. Mails were answered immediately. We were picked us up at the bus station. When we arrived we were invited to a drink in their private home next door. Breakfast and other meals are not included, but Janet had filled the refrigerator with food for the next morning. Very helpful, as we didn't have to go shopping immediately. My wife and me are especially thankful that Janet and her husband shared some of their visions and community work with us, as we are both involved in similar fields.- Haifa is built on the slopes of Mt. Carmel, and the small Artist's House, in fact not larger than an apartment, overlooks the bay. It's not a loud place, although there are many roads and industrial places on the plain. - The house has a fully equipped small kitchen which allows to cook your meals. If you stay there, you don't have to go out eating. Two smaller grocery shops are close by (at the bus station, q.v.). The bathroom is large, well equipped and well kept. Janet puts a lot of towels there, she wants people to feel comfortable. The Artist's House and their home are built wall to wall, there is a door between them and you can knock to avoid walking out and in again. There is not a 100% sound separation, but these people are older, not at all noisy. Everything seems very relaxed. A positive surprise was the also tv. Wonderful image quality, and you get all the channels the innkeepers' provider offers. - The access to public transport is easy, you just walk down 5 minutes and there is a bus stop with many bus lines. - We had booked a few nights, in the end we stayed nearly a week. This was just a perfect base for exploring the north and even northeast of Israel. We can recommend it 100%.

The Gino accommodation (Haifa) was as we hoped, privacy with comfort and a place of peace and quiet to return to after hectic hours of discovering and exploring Hebrew history, which made a pefect holiday.
