    Gaultier Lodge is a private listed country house offering stylish luxury accommodation and great Irish hospitality at an affordable price. Neither an hotel or professional guest house Sheila runs Gaultier Lodge as an extremely private house with an air of friendly informality so unique to Irish Country House bed and breakfasts. Certainly not a 'room for the night' type of B&B there are no public signs at the roadside to draw the attention of casual visitors. Guests are welcomed on a pre-arranged basis and receive detailed directions when booking. Built in 1779 by Lord Huntingdon the gardens slope down onto the beach with stunning views across the bay to Wexford. Guest come for the peace magnificent scenery delicious food based on fresh local produce.

      Directions from the N25 via the new toll bridge in Waterford from Dublin road via Carlow Kilkenny. Cross the bridge (toll 1.90 euro ) and take the 1st exit sign airport ,Tramore. Follow signs for the airport and take that exit off ring road. Drive past airport to T junction at end. Turn left ,down hill and left again at Murphy's yellow thatched pub which they demolished recently!! It is now a building site. Drive up hill straight on to major X road where you must stop.. Drive straight through keep going for 2 miles (sign Woodstown Strand, Sarratoga Pub ) down hill to beach . There is Y at bottom of the hill,( just after a large modern house and 50 K sign on left) keep left round bend ,our gate is immediately round bend on rt just beyond a big tree and the piece of grass with a white chain railing to keep cars off the grass.We have painted our gate piers white to make them stand out.There is no sign so watch out for the chains!
