The Castle is an 18th century castellated building standing in its own extensive grounds on the water's edge in the picturesque seaside village of Castletownshend on the south west coast of County Cork in Southern Ireland. Most bedrooms have a sea view as does the elegant dining room for breakfast.

From the airport take the 3 rd turning off the roundabout and follow the Kinsale road for about 2 miles. Take the first road junction on the right signed to West Cork . Drive through a small village and turn left before the bridge on to the N71. Kepp on the N71 to Skibbereen and then take the R596 to Castletownshend. The Castle is situated at the bottom of the steep village hill.
