Breezy Heights is a long established country guest house. A warm relaxed home set in the quiet countrysid 35km from Galway city on the edge of Connemara. The house has panoramic views of the beautiful Lough Corrib and the Connemara Mountains. There are 4 rooms all ensuite and kept to the highest standard, Because of its proximity to the Great Western Lakes, it is an ideal haven for the discerning trout angler with boats, engines, and boatmen available for hire on Loughs Corrib, Mask and Carra. The trout season is open from 15th February to 30th September and expert advise will be given for the lures and type of flys to be used for the different months. Scenic drives through Connemara and West Mayo are a must as the West of Ireland boasts some of the most breathtaking scenery in the country. Located nearby is Ashford Castle and the village of Cong where time can be spent viewing Cong Abbey, scenes from the "Quiet Man" filmed back in the 50s strooling through the forests and the Dry Canal. For the keen golfer a nine hole course is set on the grounds of Ashford Castle and a superb 18 hole lies in Ballinrobe approx 10km away where green fees can be arranged., then for the beginner a beautiful 18 hole par 3 set in the grounds of Dowagh House is within walking distance from Breezy Heights.
