5 out of 5Wonderful stay in Bantry
May 13, 2012
We stayed 3 nights at the Doire Liath B&B, and absolutely loved everything about our stay. Therese was so warm and friendly. We were greeted with tea, coffee and scones upon our arrival. Our room was lovely and easily accommodated my husband, myself and our adult son. The beds were very comfortable and the comforters very warm and cozy. Our room was spotlessly clean and it was great to return each evening after much sightseeing and driving in the area. It immediately felt like home and we were very comfortable there for our 3 day visit. We would wholeheartedly recommend this b&b for anyone traveling to Bantry.

Therese and Sean provide a fantastic service that allows visitors to have a total 'home from home' experience in such a wonderful corner of Ireland. I am a regular visitor to the West Cork Literary Festival each July and look forward to visiting and catching up with the family. The home baking is delicious and any off the menu request is never a problem. Close enough to the village itself and yet on route to beautiful areas such as Glengarrif and Gouganebarra. I highly recommend this accomodation.

From the moment we arrived Therese and Sean and there lovely family were so welcoming. We had intended on staying only one night in Bantry but we ended up staying for 3 days. It is the most beautiful area and our hosts were so knowledgeable and kind in there directions to the most spectacular sights on the Beara way and Gougane Barra and hillwalking on the Sheeps Head way. Each evening we would return to the most scrumptious scones and beautiful cake "lemon drizzle" and lovely tea and coffee served in the sitting room and just sit and chat - it was like coming home. I would reccommend staying here very much and you won't be dissappointed - lovely family, lovely breakfast and warm comfortable home from home.
