Ingleside B&B

  • Inn Details

Located in the heart of the Iowa River Greenbelt Area, Ingleside Bed & Breakfast is the ideal setting for that "getaway" experience. Built in 1895, this charming Victorian home offers the opportunity to step back to a time of relaxation and comfort seldom available in today's busy schedules. All rooms at Ingleside Bed & Breakfast include antiques, many are family heirlooms. The decor is "English Cottage," mingling walnut, cherry, and wicker pieces. The Hearth Room provides a warm, cozy atmosphere in a spacious bedroom complete with a four poster bed, a 19th Century fireplace and a sitting area in a 8-foot turret. The Heritage Room contains several family antiques, and features a four poster bed handcarved from cherrywood. And Will & Joe's Room, named for our grandsons, is ideal for the single guest or child. A Common Room, filled with family memorabilia, is available for watching television or just relaxing. Guests also have the convenience of a private entrance.

My husband and children and I felt very welcome and well cared-for at this charming B & B. We had a lovely time cycling during the day and visiting the new city pool in the afternoons. Evenings we spent dining in nearby towns or eating the local specialty pizza out on the deck. The whole experience was comfortable and relaxing and we sincerely thank the Brownlees for their hard work and dedication to this beautiful home. Truly, truly lovely.
