We celebrated our 2-year anniversary and he decided to do it all by himself. He would not tell me where we were going or what kind of place we were staying. As we drove up the gravel driveway to the photo you see here we were immediately greeted by Carol. She knew our names and was a ray of sunshine as we toured the lodge and our room. The smallest details were caught, the sheets were fantastic, the food amazing, the inkeepers were caring and wonderful conversationalists. We plan to go back every 6 months or so to relax. This is, by far, the BEST place I have ever stayed!

If you would like a quiet place to sare with that someone special, this is the place. Mike and Carol make you feel like family. The veiw is wonderfull. The rooms are so romantic. The special detail, the tray of cheese and the homemade pumpkin bread. The homemade breakfast with muffins and coffee cake with your meal is great. The morning and evening talks with Mike and Carol at the fireplace was very special. If you are in Iowa you must stay and enjoy the rooms, view, and the comfort of the lodge. Jester Nov.08
