Abbeymoore Manor Bed and Breakfast Inn - Victoria, British Columbia

victoria-abbeymooremanorbedandbreakfastinn.jpg

"The Abbeymoore is truly an extraordinary B&B. My husband and I stay exclusively in B&Bs when we travel, and over the course of the past 27 years we have stayed in many. The Abbeymoore ranks in our top three. Why? It all begins when you contact Ian, Anne or Michelle to make your reservation. They are very prompt answering your request and are most helpful if you have any specific needs or wants. Upon arrival, we were greeted and shown to our Garden Suite. It was a little later than we had expected to arrive and we were hungry. I just made a mention I would love some yogurt and [they] got me a nice bowl of it. I was so surprised and thankful! The bed, the sheets, and cool Victoria air made for excellent sleeping.

Breakfast was so good...The Abbeymoore uses local food as much as possible. Ian was our host all four mornings. He is so funny and makes each person feel like they are the only one who has ever experienced Butchart, whale watching or whatever event is on tap for the day. Anne is one heck of a cook and really should have her own cookbook. Ian, Anne, and Michelle truly want to make your stay with them while in Victoria the most comfortable and rewarding experience possible. Quick, book your stay. It's one thing you don't have to think about."

A la Carte B&B - Montreal, Quebec

"Can't praise it enough! Daniel and Petra will go out of their way to make your stay very pleasant not only at the B&B but also in the city. If it's your first time in the city do yourself a favor and ask Petra for tips on where to visit and how to get there, she's very helpful! They're always available for questions, but will also give you privacy and space when you want it. During the winter the heaters in the rooms are more than enough to keep you toasty at night.

The included breakfast will save you time and money because it's very abundant and delicious. Daniel is a great cook and he will adapt the menu if you have a particular need. For lunch or dinner there are many restaurants within walking distance...During our stay they lent us cards for the bus and metro, so we could load them with daily or weekly passes… And saving the best for last, there's M. Petit [the toy poodle], who will make your stay unforgettable. He's friendly, adorable, funny, and he has a Facebook page for fans, need I say more? This is a long review because I truly believe that this is more than a place to spend the night, it's a place to make friends and feel at home while visiting the city."

A Touch of English Bed & Breakfast - Kelowna, British Columbia

kelowna-atouchofenglishbedbreakfast.jpg

"We’ve been to Okanagan three times this summer, but the weekend at A Touch of English B & B was a real TREAT. We enjoyed our time filled with all things luxurious: fresh-crispy-scones greeting on a shady vine-covered patio overlooking spectacular mountain view, our clean, spacious suite and pastoral landscape paintings on the walls, deluxe lace bedding and sherry in crystal glasses, backyard luxury of the swimming pool and the convenience of a fully-equipped kitchenette, and finally, Kelly’s full-blown breakfast spiced up with a zest of Clare’s humour and her lovely English accent…

The hosts’ hospitality, a fantastic setting and beautiful weather made our adventure the most thrilling and memorable ever!"

The room was beautiful with the rose petals and candles, the chocolate covered strawberries were fresh and delicious! Our breakfast arrived at the exact time we requested and was delectable! My wife and I definitely will be spending more nights at the Sweet Dreams Luxury Inn."

Trout Point Lodge of Nova Scotia - East Kemptville, Nova Scotia

east-kemptville-nova-scotia-lodging-troutpointlodgeofnovascotia-photo.jpg

"Truly a five-star inn and lodge, a hidden gem in Nova Scotia. My husband and I needed a reinvigorating get away and this lodge was it! It's in a wilderness area, so it's quiet, beautiful and has plenty to do. We hiked, went fishing, swam and kayaked many times on two on-site winding rivers. Meals were spectacular. The food was excellent, which is a good thing when dinner is the main entertainment in the evening, though there is also night time star gazing with a guide. Breakfasts included homemade breads and pastries and the most delicious smoked salmon I've ever eaten.

There was live music at cocktail time and the service was superior. We also spent time in the hot tub, reading on the deck and botanizing in the woods. One night we went on that guided walk to look at the stars, it was a memorable experience. We absolutely loved sitting around the fire pit after supper. Very romantic! Our room was filled with handmade wooden furniture so impressive I took photos of it. This place is a bit out of the way but worth it."
